A former director of economic policy at the White House, a managing director of the $15 billion Tiger hedge fund, and an award-winning economics teacher at Harvard, Buchholz targets his entertaining remarks to the cutting edge of economics, finance, and business strategy. He has been a senior economic adviser to President Bush and is a frequent commentator on ABC News, PBS, and CBS, and recently hosted his own special on CNBC. Buchholz voice is regularly heard on National Public Radio’s popular Marketplace show. He has debated such luminaries as Robert Reich and Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz. He is Managing Director of Two Oceans Fund, a real estate fund and a founder of Wetamorph, LLC.

Vincent Cable graduated from Cambridge University, where he was President of the Union, followed by a PhD at Glasgow University. He has had a varied career which includes time at the Foreign Office, Chatham House and as Shell’s Chief Economist. Vincent Cable was first elected to Parliament to represent Twickenham in 1997. He has been the Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor since November 2003 and is currently Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats. He has published several books and reports on international economics, trade and environmental issues.

Tracy has worked with Standard Chartered Bank for over 23 years. She is a member of the Institute of Financial Services and has spent most of her career in banking roles both in the UK and in Hong Kong. In March 2006, Tracy became the Group Head of Human Resources reporting to Tim Miller, Director, People, Property and Assurance. Tracy’s immediate priorities are to ensure HR enables the Bank’s growth through its people strategies for resourcing talent, learning and development and retention.

E. Mervyn Davies CBE was appointed as joint Minister of State for the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR), UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 14 January 2009. Prior to this appointment, he was Chairman of Standard Chartered PLC since November 2006. He joined the Board of Standard Chartered PLC in December 1997 and was Group Chief Executive from November 2001 - 2006. Mervyn is the Chair of the Council of the University of Wales, Bangor and a trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts. In May 2007, Mervyn was appointed by the Chancellor of the Exchequer as Chairman of the Interim Executive Committee of the International Centre for Financial Regulation. In June 2007, he was appointed by the Prime Minister as Chairman of the Business Council for Britain. Mervyn is a member of the Mayor of London’s International Business Advisory Council London. Mervyn was awarded a CBE for his services to the financial sector and the community in Hong Kong in June 2002 and is a JP in Hong Kong.

Ivor is Co-Head of Global Capital Markets. Ivor is a member of the Global Markets Executive Committee reporting to Anshu Jain, Executive Committee member of Deutsche Bank and Head of Global Markets. He also sits on the Global Banking Executive Committee and additionally reports into Michael Cohrs, Executive Committee member and Head of Global Banking. Previous positions that Ivor has held within Global Markets are Head of Global Markets Europe and Global Head of Structured Capital Markets.

Mireille Dyrberg joined TriOptima in March 2008 as the new CEO for the EMEA region. Prior to TriOptima, she was Global Business Manager for Rates at Dresdner Kleinwort. She also served as Deputy Head of Securities Operations and Head of Securities Operations Projects at Dresdner Kleinwort Frankfurt. Mireille has also held positions at Commerzbank in Frankfurt, as well as Merrill Lynch and Reuters in London. Mireille has a BA from Kent University and a double MA degree from Exeter University and the Uniwersytet Jagiellonski w Krakowie specializing in macroeconomics.

Awarded the Foundation for Management Education Fellowship at the Sir John Cass Business School in the City of London in 2007, Pete specialises in corporate finance, governance and banking issues, particularly at the world's largest listed firms. During a 20+ year career in banking in the City of London and on Wall Street, he worked on financial strategies, complex credits, derivatives, securitisations, structured and corporate bonds, and was Citigroup's Senior Corporate Finance Officer for the UK and a member of Citigroup's London Operating Committee before joining Cass as a PhD student in 2004. Pete has also studied at HEC (Paris) and the London Business School. He is frequently quoted in(and has written articles for) many of the world's major business publications including the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal on corporate governance and banking. Pete has appeared more than 150 times on the BBC and other major television and radio stations worldwide in the last year commenting on banking and governance issues.

Anthony Hilton – 62, won the 2007 “Decade of Excellence Award," for business and financial journalism given annually by the World Press Awards in competition with a short list of writers from Fortune, and the Wall Street Journal and other English language titles. Also in 2007 he was also named as the UK Pensions Journalist of the Year by Aon, the Commentator of the year by the Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and was runner up as financial journalist of the year by the Institute of Internal Auditors. In previous years he has won many other industry awards including the European business writer of the year and the Wincott Business journalist of the year and the London Press club's business writer of the year.

Lord Norman Lamont,
Former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer,
Originally an investment banker with N M Rothschild, Norman Lamont spent twenty five years in the Commons, serving in the Cabinet under both Margaret Thatcher and John Major. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer during a period of considerable turbulence, culminating in what became known as Black Wednesday. The economist Professor Sir Alan Walters, described Lamont as 'not only the most effective, but also the bravest Chancellor since the war.' Since leaving the Commons Lord Lamont has held directorships with RAB Capital, Balli Group and Phorm Inc and he is Chairman of Jupiter Adria. He is co-Chairman of the Bruges Group and a vocal opponent of further European integration. Lord Lamont is Chairman of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce and also Chairman of the British Iranian Chamber of Commerce.
