Bradley Anthony is head of investments for FRAIM, a focussed alternative fund of fund business within the Momentum Group, where he is responsible for the South African Fund of Hedge Fund investment process. FRAIM manages over one billion dollars in local and off-shore fund of hedge fund products, and close to one billion Rand in private equity fund of fund products. Prior to joining FRAIM, Bradley spent three years within other divisions of the FirstRand and Momentum group, managing group capital portfolios and developing structured investment products for institutional investors. Before joining FirstRand, he was head of fixed income for BOE Asset Managers, which later became Quaystone. Bradley has over 13 years of experience in fixed income and derivative trading and structuring experience within investment banking and long only asset management. Bradley graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1992 with a degree in Economics and Public Finance

Janet is a Certified Financial Planner with Hugo Capital, an independent financial services provider. Her focus is on investment strategy, selection, advice and monitoring services - according to client goals and market conditions. She specialises in optimising wealth accumulation through combinations of long-term local and offshore retirement investments. Janet has experience in various financial services and publications since 1992. She holds advanced postgraduate qualifications in asset types, investment management, investment planning and estate planning from the University of the Orange Free State. She is Chair of the Investment Management Committee of the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa

John holds a BSc (Actuarial Science) and a BSc(Hons) Advance Mathematics of finance both from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He is an esteemed leader in the field of Quants, he was a head of Quants at STANLIB ASSET MANAGEMENT – the third largest asset manager in South Africa by AUM. He has managed long only as well as market neutral hedge funds using different quantitative methodologies. Although no longer active in the field of Quants, he still occasionally present papers on portfolio risk management - as he is passionate about the subject.
John is currently the Head of Investments and Actuarial for the Government Employees Pension Fund – the largest Pension Fund in Africa, he is the main driver behind the investment strategies of the fund. The fund invest in different asset classes, from Conventional Bonds to sophisticated Private Equity investments, it is John’s responsibility to ensure that the fund achieves maximum returns with minimum risk in each and every investment it makes. John also seats on the Investment Committee of the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (“PAIDF”), this fund invest in Infrastructure projects through out the African continent.

Francois van Wyk – Chief Investment Officer: BSc Agric (Hons), MBA
¬After beginning his career as an agricultural economist, Francois became a portfolio manager for Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank and then Nedcor Investment Bank, before joining Sanlam Investment Management (SIM) in 1999. At SIM he was promoted to head of equities in 2001 and assumed responsibility for establishing the alternative investment unit in the following year. He current heads up the investment team at Cadiz African Harvest – having joining the group in 2005 as Chief Investment Officer. Francois is a Raging Bull Award holder and has a wealth of investment experience.

In 2007 Fatima founded 27four Investment Managers, South Africa’s first black owned and women run institutional multi-manager. Previously, Fatima founded Legae Capital, the first black owned and women managed fund of hedge funds which under Fatima was the Top performing hedge fund multi-manager in SA. Prior to this, Fatima worked for Peregrine Securities as a research/sales trader focusing on hedge fund trading strategies and for Standard Corporate & Merchant Bank as an interest rate derivatives trader. Fatima has also lectured in applied mathematics at Wits University. Fatima graduated with distinction from Wits University in 1994 where she received several awards. She has been awarded the Financial Services Pioneer Award by the Association for Black Securities and Investment Professionals. She was also voted one of SA’s top 20 black fund manager executives by the Financial Mail.
