He first worked with Price Waterhouse in corporate advisory services & then later in Strategic Planning/ New Ventures with The BOC Group. While at BOC he helped start the Pyrethrum industry in Tasmania & worked on many industrial gas technologies including Hydrogen. In the 1990’s Robert chaired a NSW government inquiry into Aquaculture that eventually resulted in regulating inland river emissions & industry practice. During this period he was Managing Director of a wool textile group, WOVEN IMAGE with offices in 10 countries & retail marketing in leading Japanese Department stores, supplying Fortune 500 clients around the world. He also served as a director of the Australian Scientific Industry Association. Robert has worked with AUSTRADE for the past 6 years with particular focus on Agribusiness trade & Consumer Retailing. In this role he leads the international agribusiness export & investment network. He recently returned from Brazil where he was Acting Trade Commissioner & Post Manager. Robert is the Austrade representative to the Latin America Business Council & WaterAustralia Boards. Studied BA. (Economics/Politics/Finance) at Macquarie University Masters: Business & Technology, Engineering School (UNSW)
