Mark Barber is a Senior Consultant in Agribusiness at ACIL Tasman. Previously he was a partner in a rural business management consultancy firm (1998 - 2003). Mark’s principal skills are in production economics, finance and marketing. He has extensive experience in rural business management, rural policy, production system design and monitoring and commodity marketing. He is experienced in preparing business plans for leading agribusiness companies and equity investment plans. Mark has extensive experience preparing detailed analytical reports on complex commercial and policy topics for clients at the highest levels of Government and industry. Mark’s work has been at the forefront of national debates about GM technology, carbon and water markets and policy and wheat marketing. Mark is also a director of BRI Australia, a grain and food technology company with a long history of providing research and analytical services the agrifood sector.
