ENGR. SA’AD AHMED DEMYATI was appointed to his current role as V. P. Wholesale BU, Saudi Telecom Company (STC) in 2005. He brings to the Wholesale BU a wealth of more than 25 years of professional work experience in the areas of Telecommunications planning, management and development.
Prior to undertaking his current role, he was the Vice President of International Telecom Sector, which he headed from August 2001 to 2005 and whereupon implemented the build-up of a new International Sector Structure. He played an active role in introducing all core and value-added services for International Sector including new International Gateways, IP Nodes, carriers and routes. Under his management, International lines grew to more than 100K circuits.
At the time when STC was incorporated in May 1998, Engr. Sa’ad Ahmed Demyati was appointed as General Manager, International Telecom. In 1992 he was the General Manager, Engineering MoPTT. In 1985 he was the Manager (Satellite Division) MoPTT. In 1983 he was the District Assistant Manager for Customer Services – Taif and in 1979 he worked as a Supervisor (Electrical Engineering) Taif Telecom District.
Engr. Sa’ad Ahmed Demyati earned a Masters Electrical Engineering Degree in 1993 and Bachelor’s Electrical Engineering Degree in 1978. To keep pace with current trends and developments in this fast changing world of technology and advancements he has successfully attended, and continues to attend, specialized training programs which included, Financial Seminars for Senior Managers - London UK and Belgium, Telecommunication Regulatory Masters Class TRMC Bath UK, Telecommunication Strategy & Marketing Programme INSEAD France, Strategic Decision Making & Critical Thinking USA, Leading Programme UK and others.
Engr. Sa’ad Ahmed Demyati is also a Board Member of Arabsat Board, Member of Intelsat Board, Member of Board/Council for Inmarsat and Chairman for one year, Chairman for TGM (Traffic Global Meeting) for Inmarsat, and contribute in many ITU Committees.

As Executive Vice President for du International & Wholesale, Andrew Grenville is responsible for developing the international carrier services business including wholesale long distance, international roaming, infrastructure and Internet products.
Andrew began his career at du by successfully setting up the Enterprise Division in his capacity as Executive Vice President, where he managed the overall commercial operations serving business customers.
Andrew has been at the forefront of the telecommunications industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining du, he was Vice President - International & Wholesale for StarHub, Singapore, responsible for managing and developing international voice and data networks, having also lead the Product Management and Marketing teams.
Earlier, Andrew was CEO of a company involved in submarine cable backhaul and facilities, and Alliance Director for StarHub (British Telecom’s Singapore venture). Andrew’s career with BT spanned nearly 10 years holding various senior appointments in Logistics, Procurement, Sales and Marketing. Prior to that he worked for GPT and Racal Datacoms in technical and sales roles. Andrew holds an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from Sheffield University, UK.

Karim Khoja has served in senior management positions in national and multi-national telecommunications companies for over fifteen years. He has extensive experience in nurturing start-up businesses from infancy through development, and has led several GSM start-up companies into becoming major market players as President and CEO, including being the founding CEO of Mobilink (Pakistan), Director of Marketing, Strategy and Sales for ERA GSM, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board for CROATIAN Telecommunication HT, as well as founding CEO of T MOBILE. Croatia.
Mr. Khoja has also been on the Board Directors and in senior positions focusing on sales, marketing and strategy for companies such as, Exi Wireless Inc, Spectonics Microsystems Ltd., and RAM Mobile Data Ltd.
Mr. Khoja’s involvement in the telecommunications sector in Afghanistan began in May 2002 as a volunteer consultant to the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development in an initiative to install the nationwide private communications infrastructure. In January 2003, Mr. Khoja was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for the Telecom Development Company Afghanistan Ltd, t/a Roshan. Under his leadership, Roshan has grown to be Afghanistan’s largest mobile provider and today is the largest company in Afghanistan with over 2.3 million subscribers. Mr. Khoja is also Chairman of the Board of the Afghan Investment Climate Facility AICF and an advisor to the GSMA Development Fund.
