Yemmi Agbebi joined SITA summer 2007, after an 8 year stint at Manchester Airport; the last two of which he spent in the role of Group Director for Innovation & Technology. At SITA, Yemmi is responsible for the Airport and Government & Security portfolios. In this role Yemmi focuses on strategy, product portfolio, product marketing, new products/services and the development of portfolio road maps to ensure that SITA continues to align its product/service strategies with ATI priorities as well as providing thought leadership in areas as diverse as self-service to government and security.

Yemmi serves on IATA,s SPT (Simplifying Passenger Travel) initiative and is a specialist resource on IATA CUPPS Working Group. In the past Yemmi has served on Common Use Passenger Processing Service (CUPPS) and Baggage Working Groups.

Yemmi brings to SITA over 12 years of ATI experience gained at Manchester Airport (1999-2007) and at Siemens Professional Services where he was a Managing Principal Consultant and a specialist in the Aviation & Retail verticals. Upon graduating from IPSA, a French Aerospace engineer school Nicolas Bondarenco started his career with the European Space Agency. After developing tools & techniques for precise orbit determination he joined Eurocontrol, the European Organization for the safety of air navigation. There he managed projects for 5 years focusing upon Global Navigation Satellite Systems performances for the airlines.

Nicolas gained an MBA from the French Business School ESCP-EAP, Paris, and joined Deloitte Consulting to work on various missions such as organisation management, customer relationship management and supply chain, mainly in the air transport and automotive industries. In joined IATA in 2006 to work on the development of the RFID for the air transport industry.

Mr Swan Foo Boon,

Mr Boon Swan Foo is the Executive Chairman of Exploit Technologies Private Limited, the strategic marketing and commercialisation arm of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He heads the commercialisation and spin-off business and activities for all A*STAR’s intellectual property and technologies.

Mr Boon is a veteran at building knowledge-intensive enterprises and creating wealth from technology. He joined A*STAR in January 2002, after an illustrious private sector career that culminated in the Deputy Chairmanship and CEO appoint in Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd. At A*STAR, he played a major role in transforming the agency into a well-respected R&D powerhouse, and has instilled in A*STAR a mindset that is more attuned to commercial and industrial needs. He initiated an innovative approach to develop the National Science and Technology Plan 2010, which included the formation of multi-agency Technology Scan Panels in physical science and engineering.

Under his leadership as Deputy Chairman and CEO of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd, the company grew from an organisation that predominantly supported the Singapore Armed Forces to an international company and the 7th largest company in the Singapore Stock Exchange, with a market capitalisation of S$8 billion when he left in 2001. He was also the Chief Financial Officer, and Board Member and Executive Committee Director of Singapore Technologies Pte Ltd - the parent company of Singapore Technologies Group of Companies.

Mr Boon sat on several boards including Pidemco Limited, Neptune Orient Lines, DSO National Laboratories, Vertex Venture Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Laboratories. He was the Chairman of both Singapore Changi Airport Enterprise Pte Ltd, Changi Airport Managers & Partners (Singapore) Pte Ltd and Chairman of the Audit Committee of NTUC Income Insurance Cooperative Limited. He is currently serving on the Boards of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Management Development Institute of Singapore, Keppel Amfels Inc. and Orangestar Investment Holdings Pte Ltd. He is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Singapore Computer Systems Limited.

He was also a Member of the Dean’s Council of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, an Advisor to the Imperial College (UK) Commercialisation Board and Advisor to the Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (Japan). Presently he holds an Adjunct Professorship at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Engineering.

Mr Boon is a registered Professional Engineer and also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountant (UK)-ACCA. He holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore, and has completed Harvard’s Advanced Management Program.

Mr Boon was awarded the Singapore Business Award for Outstanding CEO in 2000, one of Singapore’s prestigious business awards. He was awarded the Commendation Medal, Military for his military service in Year 2001 National Day Award.

Mr Neco Can,

Cornerstone Brands

Neco is one of the most experienced implementers of RFID within the USA retail industry having implemented RFID systems at major retailers such as J Crew, The Gap, Abercrombie and Fitch.

Neco has extensive retail experience and is currently the interim CIO of Cornerstone Brands, a well known catalog and B2C retailer. Before joining CBI, Neco, as a partner, was leading the retail, wireless & mobile, and RFID practices for Attevo, a global business solution provider. During his time as CIO and a member of the executive team at J Crew, Neco was responsible for leading the IT organization and providing solutions for both day-to-day activities of the corporation as well as developing long term strategy for this global apparel retailer.

Prior to J. Crew, Neco was Senior Director, IT Application Development at Abercrombie & Fitch where he was responsible for oversight of all new development, enhancements and production support of the host legacy systems, financial and human resources applications, web and e-commerce applications, and warehouse management systems. He implemented a successful “on-time and no-defect” deliverables project process, and completed the company’s first off-shore development strategy. He also developed the full feasibility analysis of RFID as an item level tracking tool and oversaw the initial implementation of RFID in A&F.

Prior to Abercrombie and Fitch, Neco was the Senior Director of Supply Chain R&D at the Gap Inc. where he was responsible for the overall analysis of the supply chain. He also led the efforts to implement RFID tags system-wide. The pilot for this effort was the first unit-level tracking study in a retail environment. This was a significant pilot as its results substantiated the validity and feasibility of RFID tags in the retail supply chain application.

He is also a co-owner of Industry Standard, a boutique which has implemented RFID through out the store – inventory management, POS, security, loyalty and dressing room application including socialized shopping. This is the first retailer store in the world to implement RFID extensively on all items and for all store processes.

Neco is also Chief Technology Officer for the International RFIDba, a not-for-profit, educational trade organization. The main purpose of the organization is to create awareness in user community with training materials, work process analysis, conferences and workshops. The organization also represents RFID community in US Senate Caucus. The leadership of the organization includes subject matter experts from real time users of the RFID technology and the R&D departments of several universities.

Mr Lee Doherty,

After serving as an RAF and Joint supply/movements officer, Lee Doherty joined Rolls-Royce’s Defence Aerospace as Head of Supply Chain (Services) in December 2004 but was appointed as the Vice President Customer Business for Saudi Arabia in January 2007. Responsible for improving capabilities to support Mission Ready Management Solutions, he was the Logistic Service Line Owner responsible for delivering improved Aftermarket capabilities from a logistic and supply chain standpoint. Global Asset Visibility and Global Asset Management are critical to the Logistic Transformation programme that seeks to develop seamless, high velocity, data targetted supply chains that make the most efficient and effective use of engines, modules, piece part spares and special to type containers. RFiD has a critical role in day-to-day supply chain delivery, performance based logistics and effective through life management plans and design optimisation of Rolls-Royce offerings.
Mr Frank Dorrian,

Frank Dorrian is the President, Asia Pacific, of the RFID International Business Association, a not for profit, vendor neutral, end user education focused organization. He speaks regularly at major conferences on the different aspects of RFID and teaches RFID masterclasses.

Prior to joining the association, Frank who has approximately twenty five years experience in the IT and Telecoms industries, held a series of senior management positions with US multinational organisations. Frank has substantial international business experience having worked on assignments in Europe, USA, and Asia Pacific.

While based out of Singapore Frank held positions such as Regional Managing Director of Tandem Computers, Asia; and Vice President of Avid Technology, Asia Pacific. He also held several senior positions with Unisys, working with them on assignments in Singapore, Hong Kong, USA and India. In India he was Vice President of the Tata Unisys joint venture.

Frank has been based out of Australia for the last eight years. He has held positions such as Client Director Outsourcing; responsible for one of the largest outsourcing contracts with Optus ($250million)

He was Chief Operation Officer (COO) of IBA Health and helped take the company through an IPO in the stock exchange raising $60million. Frank also worked on the due diligence, acquisition, and then managed the Optus E-health business which ran the Medicare electronic funds transaction system. This was the largest e-health operation in the southern hemisphere with 80million transactions per year and carrying $1.8 billion in funds. Frank then went to the UK where they won two National Health projects for $64m. These were managed services contracts delivering clinical, pathology, radiology, and administration systems to key hospitals. In all they managed 11 National Health trusts with 48 major hospitals. Another key area was Defence Forces electronic records health systems and he worked with the Armed Forces of both Australia and Singapore.

For the last three years Frank has been CEO for Wireless Business Solutions, an Australian company focused on mobility, data capture and RFID implementations.

Sylvain has more than twelve years of semiconductor and RFID industry experience. He has held a variety of product development and marketing positions. Besides being Vice Chairman of the Jedec JC65 and committee member of the RFID IC packaging, Sylvain also participates on a number of working groups within EPCglobal, the standards body for EPC solution implementation.

National Livestock Identification System

Although born and bred in Sydney the lure of the country was too much to resist. I have worked on mixed farming enterprises in the southern tablelands and central West NSW before graduating from the University of Sydney - Orange with a degree in Agribusiness.

I started work with the former NSW Meat Industry Authority as a Livestock Market Analyst, and moving to the Senior Analyst within the Livestock Reporting Service unit. Throughout this period I was heavily involved with the establishment of the National Standard Reporting Service (NLRS) from a variety of individual state based services into a national standardised system. Moved into the Operations Manager role in 2002 and responsible for development of integrated systems between field and head office, and establishment of advanced electronic data capture and internet report display. Throughout this period I lead the considerable investment and development of portable computers for field data collection as well as the transition from a paper based to electronic system I was promoted to the Manager of NLRS in 2004 responsible for overseeing the entire operation.

Most recently I have been appointed to manage the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) overseeing the database development, service delivery and standard management of the meat and livestock industry traceability systems.

Ms Susan Jordan,

Susan is responsible for introducing computing technology to enable manufacturing business process improvements. She currently manages the enterprise Automated Identification Technologies laboratory used for evaluating the performance and ability to integrate devices and platforms into legacy Boeing systems. Her current focus is to establish global, interoperable standards for radio frequency identification hardware throughout the Boeing enterprise.

Susan joined the Boeing Company in July 1974 and has held increasingly responsible positions within information technology and management in both the Shared Services and Commercial Airplanes business units. Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems earned at the University of Washington.

Director of EPC Strategy and Global Transportation Systems for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Simon Langford’s initial focus has been leveraging the collaborative benefits of RFID which has resulted in improved product availability for Wal-Mart’s customers and additional suppliers for both suppliers and Wal-Mart. Simon has also been collaborating with operations and suppliers to ensure the use of the technology is operationalized within Wal-Mart and SAM’s clubs. Simon and his team have also been working with standards groups and technology providers to develop global standards and innovative solutions.

A native of England, Simon earned a degree in business studies at Huddersfield University in the United Kingdom and Certificate of Food Retailing at the Bristol Retailing Academy. Simon worked at ASDA for seven and a half years before moving to the US and has worked in the retail industry for 21 years. In 2005 Simon was awarded the Sam M Walton award of excellence for leadership, the highest honor awarded at Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Kenneth Lee, a highly respected international business leader, is the managing director of IDENTEC SOLUTIONS Asia Limited, an IDENTEC SOLUTIONS Asia regional office located in Hong Kong. In his current position, he is responsible for the Sales and Marketing, Channel and Partner program, and customer relationships for IDENTEC SOLUTIONS in Asia.

Mr. Lee's career in management consulting and high technology industry spans over three decades. He has held senior management positions at IBM, Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Scient, IconMedia Lab and HelloAsia. As one of the founding members of the IBM Consulting Group in Asia Pacific, he helped build the IBM consulting business in Asia, from conception through to a profitable business in a short three years. Mr. Lee's efforts at IBM resulted in the strategic repositioning of IBM from a product-oriented organization to the current service company it is today.

Prior to joining IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, Kenneth was Managing Principal for Motorola Professional Services located in Beijing, P.R.C. Kenneth later became the vice president of Motorola Asia Pacific responsible for the Asset Visibility Systems utilizing active RFID and wireless technologies.

Kenneth was also a co-founder of Sanda Technology Development Limited in Hong Kong. He was instrumental in developing and deploying the Resource Tracking Solution in the construction industry, utilizing active RFID and wireless technologies.

Kenneth has a Master of Science degree in digital electronics, University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He is a graduate in electrical engineering from Hong Kong Technical College.

Mr Walter Lee,

Walter Lee is the Senior Vice President and Fellow at Exploit Technologies, the strategic marketing and commercialisation arm of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He heads a team of market researchers and technology consultants in providing technology and market assessments to facilitate the commercialization of IP assets to the industry.

Walter is also the Head of the Technology Transfer Network (TTN) Secretariat, an alliance of technology transfer offices committed to accelerating the transfer of technologies to the industry through the sharing of best practices, expertise and resources in a self sustaining ecosystem.

Walter was on the IDC Worldwide Consulting Management Board as the Vice President and Head of the IDC Consulting Group in Asia/Pacific.

At Singapore Airlines, Walter was the Vice President and Head of the E-Commerce Centre, responsible for all the e-initiatives of the airline.

He is currently on the Management Committee of the HP Alumni Club and the NTU Alumni Club.

Manop Thamsirianunt has been heading the Thailand RFID Cluster (TRFIDC) as the Cluster Manager since its inception in 2004. Consisting over 60 Thai companies, TRFIDC was formed as a special forum of Thailand under Thailand Embedded System Association (TESA). TRFIDC’s main objective is to act as a consortium for all RFID related entrepreneurial and corporate businesses across the various layers of the RFID value chain. Manop currently brings his expertise to the top management stratum as a member of the Board of Directors of Software Industrial Promotion Agency (SIPA) under the Ministry of ICT, Thailand. In 2006, Manop was honored by Thailand’s renowned press “The Nation” media group, under the Science section as the “35 MOST INFLUENTIAL THAIS Over The Past 35 Years” who have made significant contribution and had an impact on Thailand’s overall development.

Manop’s professional background includes a career as an IC Design Specialist, a program initiator of Thailand IC Design Incubator, a special project of National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Thailand. He also founded Silicon Craft Technology (SIC) Co., Ltd in Dec 2002, the first and only IC chip design company in Thailand, with the emphasis on RFID ASIC design and analog value added system-on-chip design services and ODM product development. SIC today is growing rapidly and has emerged as global brand name in RFID industry. Prior to joining NECTEC, he has had more than 15 years of experience in the North American IC design industry where he worked as a Design Engineering Manager for the Communications Division at EXAR Corporation, Fremont, California, U.S.A. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology (KMITL), Thailand in 1988 and the Master of Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1993, both in the field of Electronics. He continued his career at Mitel Semiconductor from 1993 as IC product development engineer. He holds four patents and still continues to design innovated systems and circuits in CMOS and deep sub-micron technologies.

Dr. Gerd Wolfram is Managing Director of MGI METRO Group Information Technology GmbH and is responsible for the business unit Advanced Technologies. He aligns the whole Information Technology in the company at METRO´s corporate goals (IT-Strategy) and is also responsible for purchasing the required hard- and software and IT services for the METRO Group (IT-Procurement). Furthermore he cares for the search, selection and implementation of new IT innovations (Research and Innovation).

Since mid-2002, Dr. Gerd Wolfram, who holds a doctorate degree in business administration, has been managing one of the most innovative projects of the METRO Group: The Future Store Initiative. The initiative was launched by the METRO Group and renowned partner companies. With the METRO Group Future Store Initiative modern technologies and systems are advanced and tested under real-live conditions.

He is also a member of national and international committees which promote the standardization of logistics and merchandise management processes in the context of radio frequency identification (RFID). At the international standardization organizations EPCglobal and GS1 Germany he represents the METRO Group in several project groups. Dr. Wolfram also leads the research group Information and Communication Technologies (IKT) at the European retail representation EuroCommerce.

My portfolio in the Nursing Service covers mainly quality management and clinical operations in the inpatient setting. I was a key member of a team (comprising representatives from Operations Division, IT Department, Nursing Division and Emergency Department) that implemented the patient tagging system using RFID technology from Jan 2006 - Feb 2007 in TTSH. Since then, we have experienced better efficiency in coordinating inpatient flow across departments, and we are now working on enhancing its use in the clinical management of patients.
