Nkwe Platinum’s flagship Genorah project is located in the Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Complex in an established mining district with extensive existing infrastructure. The Genorah project has a significant surface footprint of more than 10,500 hectares and is underlain by both the Merensky Reef and UG2 chromotite seam from surface to a depth of 1,500m. The project is comprised of five contiguous farms in strike length of more than 30km in close proximity to a number of well established mining operations. The Genorah project stretches from Impala Platinum’s Marula mine in the north, past Anglo Platinum’s Modikwa Joint venture to the border of Eastern Platinum’s Spitzkop – Kennedy Vale project in the south.
Nkwe is currently conducting a Feasibility Study on the Garatau farm in the north of the Genorah project and Eerste Geluk farm in the south with a targeted mineralisation base in excess of 100 million ounces pgm+au and a targeted annual production of more than 1 million ounces platinum group metals.

Platmin (PPN) is a mineral exploration and development company focused on platinum group metals in South Africa. Platmin is listed on the AIM Market of the LSE and the main board of the TSX.
Platmin’s projects are located on the Bushveld Complex. The experienced team and quality projects position the company to become an important independent producer over the next few years and is scheduled to produce the first metal in Q1 of 2009.
With the commissioning of the 100,000 oz PGM per annum Smokey Hills Platinum Mine in South Africa, Platinum Australia has joined the exclusive ranks of platinum producers. The combination of relatively high grade and open pit and shallow underground operations make Smokey Hills one of the lowest cost producers in the industry.
Platinum Australia is poised to build on the success of Smokey Hills with the development of its second South African project, the Kalahari Platinum Project (PLA earning 49% from ARM platinum), which is targeting up to 300,000 oz PGM production from an open pit operations.
PLA has developed significant specialized knowledge and expertise of the PGM industry since its inception, while in addition, personnel within the Company have a high level of skills and experience in the areas of project evaluation & development and mining operations.
While the Company has an exciting pipeline of projects for development, it is actively seeking further quality projects to add to this portfolio.
Anooraq is in the business of acquiring, exploring and developing prospective platinum group metals (PGM) properties. The Company has projects in the Bushveld Complex, a geological region that is internationally recognised for its PGM and chromotite deposits, located in South Africa.
Anooraq has been positioned as the first Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) company with two North American listings and a South African listing. Anooraq has a primary listing on the Toronto Venture Exchange (TSXV), and secondary listings on the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) and the JSE Limited (JSE). Anooraq successfully effected its inward dual listing on the JSE on 19 December 2006 by way of introduction. The company’s entire issued share capital of 148,220,407 common shares will be listed on the JSE under the 'Mining – Platinum and Precious Metals' sector.
Wesizwe Platinum is a black-owned, community-based platinum exploration and mining company based in the North West Province in South Africa. The company’s principal project is located on the Frischgewaagd-Ledig complex of mineral properties south of the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve near Sun City. This project has a resource of 13,5 million ounces of 4E PGMs contained within an ore body of 82 million tons. The ore body lies between 650 and 850 metres and will produce a steady state production of 350 000 ounces per annum from a production rate of 230 000 tons per annum from a vertical shaft measuring 8,5 m in diameter.
The company also holds 26% in the neighbouring Western Bushveld Joint Venture in partnership with Anglo Platinum and Platinum Group Metals of Canada. Wesizwe is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and is represented on eight JSE Indices, including being one of only five companies benchmarked on the JSE Platinum Index
