From September 1981 through June 2001, Kelleher also served as President and CEO of Southwest Airlines.

Willie Walsh joined British Airways as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) designate on May 3, 2005 and assumed full CEO responsibilities on October 1 after the retirement of Sir Rod Eddington.Prior to joining British Airways, Willie was CEO at Aer Lingus, a position he was appointed to in the aftermath of 9/11. Faced with bankruptcy and heavy losses, Willie radically restructured the airline and this culminated in it posting an €107 million profit in 2004, making Aer Lingus the most profitable state-owned airline in the western world.
 
Howard Millar was appointed Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer on January 1, 2003, having served as Director of Finance of Ryanair since March 1993. Between April 1992 and March 1993 he served as Financial Controller of Ryanair. Howard was the Group
Finance Manager for the Almarai Group, an international food processing company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 1988 to 1992.
 
Alex Cruz was European Partner-Director of the
Commercial Aviation division of the consultant Accenture up until September 2006. Alex, had previously occupied positions of responsibility in American Airlines and Sabre, both in the United States and the United Kingdom
 
Founder of Tune Air Sdn Bhd, Tony together with his partners took over AirAsia Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s second national carrier and successfully relaunched AirAsia into a low fare carrier in December 2001. Tony is currently a
Director and also the Group Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia, Asia’s first low cost carrier. Under his leadership AirAsia has grown from a modest fleet of 2 to 16 currently. The airline has recorded an unbroken profit for the last 2 years since the first day of operation and has carried over 4 million passengers to date.
 
Brett Godfrey is the Chief Executive and co-founder of publicly listed Virgin Blue Airlines Limited which comprises Australian domestic carrier Virgin Blue, international airline Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue, a joint venture
airline with the Government of Samoa. Together the airlines operate over 325 flights daily to 22 Australian and eight international destinations. Mr Godfrey is also a Director of the Board of WestJet, Canada’s leading low-fare airline offering scheduled service to 33 cities in
North America.
 
Since Mr Davis’ appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer, Tiger Airways has grown its network from just 3 destinations to 16 destinations in 7 countries, was the launch customer of Singapore’s Budget Terminal and has carried more than 2 million passengers.
The airline’s achievements and innovation have been recognised by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation’s “Best Low Cost Airline” Award in 2006.
 
With over 35 years of professional experience, Mr. Garza has occupied top executive positions in financial institutions and private corporations in Mexico. Mr. Garza is widely acknowledged as leader in his field. Mr. Garza played a key role in the financial engineering that led to the
privatisation of Aeroméxico in 1988 that eventually was recognized as one of the most successful turnarounds in the aviation industry of those days. Mr. Garza was Aeromexico’s CFO during its first 3 fiscal years.
 
Adel Ali, together with the management team has been given credit for setting up the Middle East and North Africa’s first low-cost carrier (LCC), Air Arabia. Adel has brought over 25 years of strategic aviation, tourism and
marketing experience to Air Arabia since the company commenced operations in October 2003.
 
Prior to his appointment, Azran was formerly the Senior Director of Business Development of Astro All Asia Networks plc, a leading Asian digital satellite television and radio broadcaster, where he led the start-up and operational launch of Astro’s international investments and joint ventures across Southeast Asia, India and Greater China – having oversight management responsibility for a portfolio of over US$300 million invested in these businesses.
