From Petrobras’ Jupiter discovery with a total estimated BOE of $30 billion, to Ecopetrol’s announced commitment of $60 billion in investment in production through 2015, to rumblings that Mexico will run out of crude oil in 10 years, the Latin American oil and gas market has witnessed a wave of incredible announcements in the first half of 2008.
