Overview
Global information technology service management adoption has grown exponentially under the aegis of the IT Service Management Forum. The international forum’s efforts to promote business and IT alignment have been undertaken largely by its 40 odd country chapters operating independently and addressing local issues in-depth.
ITSM in Asia though arriving much later than the UK is moving at an unprecedented rate. Interest and
IT organizations will face greater pressure to behave like just another part of the business. This means more responsibility, greater expectations, and far less tolerance of failure.

adoption is intense but also in as varying degrees as its distinctive cultures. With IT service management professionals in Asia becoming more sophisticated, and business challenges crossing national boundaries, the concept of a pan-Asia summit to link local Asian chapters continue to serve an important collaborative function for professionals this industry. The need to connect, educate, inform and enlighten IT professionals in Asia are real, and the itSMF Asia Summit was conceptualized to meet this tremendous need in timely fashion.
The concept of “best practice” require us to exchange information and experience, the broader the network, the higher the quality results. What better way to learn and leverage from a network of committed IT professionals than to bring the sum total of what Asia has to offer together – if you’re serious about helping your IT organization leap-frog the competition and bring tangible business returns then itSMF Asia Summit 2008 is the must attend event of the year.
