Arthur Dixon graduated as a chemical engineer from Melbourne University and has had more than 40 years with Shell. For 25 of those years, he was associated with Liquefied Natural Gas. Inter alia, he has been Project Co-ordinator, General Manager Marketing, a Director of Shell International Gas, Brunei Shell Tankers and  Australia LNG Ship Operating Company (ALSOC) and was the inaugural President of the North West Shelf LNG marketing company, Australia LNG Pty Ltd.
Arthur has been involved in various roles with LNG ventures in Australia, Brunei, Nigeria, Oman and Malaysia. He has an unusually broad base of experience across the LNG “chain” and advises on commercial and strategic issues for selected clients, clients who may feel their own expertise is too focussed. He also conducts introductory training courses for executives who feel they need a broader understanding of the LNG business.
Arthur is Chairman of the Board of the Centre for Natural Gas Management, a joint venture between the Business Schools of the University of Western Australia and Curtin University of Technology.  In 2008, Arthur was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia

Phillip Glyde is the Executive Director of the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE).  ABARE provides economic policy analysis and forecasts to enhance the competitiveness of Australia’s agricultural, fishing, forestry, energy and minerals industries.

Phillip has worked for the Australian Government on natural resource management, environment and industry issues both domestically and internationally, for the last 28 years.

Phillip has an Honours Degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the Australian National University.

R.G. (Bob) Marcellus

Bob Marcellus was born in Calgary, Canada and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from the University of Calgary.    He has spent 35 years in the energy business in Canada and Australia, principally involved in gas, marketing, business/project development, and joint ventures.

Bob has worked with the Oil Search group of companies for the last 15 years, where he now serves as Executive General Manager – Gas New Business, reporting to the Managing Director.  Bob is also a member of the Investment Review Board for Oil Search.

In his previous role as Executive General Manager-Gas, Bob guided Oil Search’s progress with the PNG Pipeline to Australia, and then the shift to LNG, culminating in the PNG LNG Project (operated by ExxonMobil) passing  several major milestones in 2007/8 and entering FEED in May of this year.  

Bob now heads the Gas New Business team at Oil Search in its further quest to put suitable resources together and develop additional gas projects from the extensive gas portfolio – taking them from concepts to commercial certainty.  This includes opportunities for the development of additional LNG in PNG and the broader portfolio of potential projects such as methanol/DME, ammonia/urea, GtL, CNG and others

Bob has worked for large and small companies during his career, including various representative roles, and secondments into Chevron-led, and ExxonMobil-led project teams.

Mr Scott is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of upstream and downstream M&A and finance experience in the oil & gas and energy sector in Australia, Asia and the United States. Mr Scott is currently CEO of Arrow Energy’s Australian operations, having previously held the roles of Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Arrow Energy. Prior to joining Arrow in 2004, Mr Scott was Group Finance Manager of Energy Developments Limited an international renewable energy company, Director – Project Finance at NRG an international IPP and prior to this he was Manager of ARCO’s International Oil & Gas M&A team based in Dallas, Texas.

Peter has a B.Sc, majoring in Metallurgy from the University of Melbourne and a diploma of Applied Finance from Finsia.  He is a Senior Fellow of Finsia.

Peter commenced working life as a research metallurgist in Zambia and gained a high level of practical experience over the next eight years with companies such as Bougainville Copper and CRA Ltd (now Rio Tinto).

Over the past 25 years, Peter has worked with a range of UK and Australian based financial firms in the Securities Industry in roles as diverse as share market and corporate research, institutional dealing, investment banking, business development and management.  Five years ago, he established an AFS Licensed, investor relations and independent corporate analysis business which he operates under the Strachan Corporate banner.  Peter is co-owner of StockAnalysis, a subscriber based, analyst brief which he publishes on a weekly basis.
