During the past 25 years, Dr. Irv Beiman has helped more than 100 companies on two continents [US & China] improve their business performance. He was the first foreign psychologist [and organizational development expert] to live and work in China. With the exception of one year, he has lived/worked continuously in China since 1993. Dr. Beiman currently serves as Chairman of eGate Consulting. Irv Beiman earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1973, and served on the faculty of the University of Georgia from 1973-1980, publishing in the leading refereed journals in his field. The eGate organization, under the leadership of Dr. Beiman and his colleague, Dr. Yong-Ling Sun, has been nationally recognized with 3 awards for excellence from the China National Academy of Management Science, Smart Fortune magazine, and China HRD. He has significant experience advising agencies within the Chinese government on matters of enterprise performance management and evaluation.

Mr. Belmans has more than 23 years experience in the financial services industry. While he was trained as a commercial banker, his career spans a wide variety of professions within the asset management industry. Prior to joining ING, he was responsible for the equity Fund Management team of BBL in Brussels, and moved to Singapore in 1996 to set up BBL’s Asian asset management venture. After ING acquired BBL, he became ING Investment Management’s Regional Director for ASEAN and India till March 2003. From April 2003 to December 2005, he was responsible for overall management of ING Funds’ two operating units in Taiwan; this includes the onshore asset manager and funds distributor, as well as the offshore funds wholesaling unit “ING Fund Services (SICE)”. He was appointed Regional General Manager for North Asia in 2005 covering local market activities in China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan. In January 2008, he was appointed Acting CEO as a permanent replacement is sought. He holds a “Licence” (equiv. of an M.A.) in Applied Economics from University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Mr. Brooke is based in Beijing and is the President & CEO of CB Richard Ellis in Greater China, taking overall responsibility for the strategic direction and business operations of CB Richard Ellis in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. This role involves the formulation of business strategy, implementation of client relationship and corporate initiatives, oversight of geographical and functional expansion as well as the coordination of the day to day activities of the company within Greater China. Mr. Brooke is a Chartered Surveyor with over seventeen years of experience in various fields of the property industry. Since 1992 he has been providing consultancy advice in relation to real estate markets and development projects in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region and has participated within assignments associated with market research, feasibility studies, land premium negotiations, development projects and joint venture agreements. Mr. Brooke received his academic degree in Land Economy, Cambridge University, in 1989.

Prior to joining DTZ in Hong Kong, Andrew was based in Shanghai where he has served two other companies. He was the National Leader of Deloitte’s China Real Estate M&A advisory team, and before that, he was the deputy general manager of a Hong Kong developer and was responsible for the acquisition and asset management of its USD 700m real estate portfolio in China. Mr. Fu is responsible for the strategic direction and overall operation of the company. Prior to joining Prudential, Teh-Hsiu was Chief Executive Officer of AIG Huatai Fund Management Company in Shanghai in 2004- 2005. As CEO, he was responsible for the operation of AIG Huatai in the PRC. Teh-Hsiu was Executive Director and Head of Greater China Office for UBS Global Asset Management based in Hong Kong for over six years. He headed up institutional account management and business development efforts for UBS in the Greater China market. During his time at UBS, Teh-Hsiu was also Chairman and President of UBS Securities Investment Advisory (Taiwan) Ltd. Prior to joining UBS in August 1997, Teh-Hsiu was Retail Business Director at Fidelity Investments Management (H.K.) Ltd. He directed the sales, marketing, and distribution of Fidelity’s retail mutual fund products in Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as the retail business development projects in other Asian markets. Prior to moving to Hong Kong in early 1996, he was Managing Director of Fidelity Investments (Taiwan) Ltd. and was based in Taiwan. Before joining Fidelity in Taiwan in 1994, Teh-Hsiu served as the Asian representative for Massachusetts Financial Services in the early nineties, and was responsible for the marketing and sales of MFS’s off-shore mutual fund products through the intermediary distribution channels in the Asia Pacific region. Teh-Hsiu started his career as a Financial Analyst with PaineWebber Inc. in New York in 1985, and worked in Corporate Planning, Finance and Portfolio Review departments at PaineWebber before returning to Taiwan in 1989. Teh-Hsiu is a frequent speaker at various mutual fund industry conferences in the region. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association during his tenure at Fidelity, having served as Chairman of the HKIFA’s China Sub-Committee in 1997. Teh-Hsiu was a member of the mutual fund expert committee organised by the China Securities Regulatory Commission in 2001. He also served as an Alternate Member of the Committee on Unit Trusts at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, when he was at UBS.

Sheldon Gao is China CEO of Schroders Investment Management. He is responsible for managing and developing Schroders’ business in China, including building direct business with Chinese Institutions in QDII product development, and heading up Schroders initiatives such as QFII. Previously, Mr. Gao was the Head of Investment Analytics at AllianceBernstein Investments. He was responsible for developing quantitative techniques and performance measurement tools for equity and fixed income mandates, and performing competitive analysis for company’s on-shore and off-shore funds. Prior to joining AllianceBernstein, Mr. Gao was Director of Investment Research at Morningstar. His responsibilities included developing investment strategies and quantitative techniques, modifying stock evaluation and fund rating algorithms, and developing performance measurement tools to evaluate stock rating system. Before joining Morningstar, Mr. Gao worked at Dow Jones Indexes for seven years as Senior Director of Global Research and Strategic Development. He spent over five years working as senior fund managers with a number of global asset management companies and hedge funds firms in Miami and Boston. Mr. Gao is the author of four books and more than 120 articles on index development, financial investment and global economy. Additionally, he is a regular speaker at various conferences in the United States, Europe and the Far East. Mr. Gao holds a Ph.D. and MBA degree in Finance from Johnson Graduate School of Management (JGSM) of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Jason oversees the research and investment management areas at Research Affiliates. He manages all investment operations associated with the firm's sub-advisory and hedge fund businesses. In addition, he oversees research on the asset allocation models and equity strategies that underpin RA's fundamental indexation concept. Jason worked closely with Robert Arnott to originate the Research Affiliates fundamental indexation methodology. As a consultant to Asian investment banks, securities dealers, and insurance companies, Jason focused on issues such as risk management, strategic asset allocation, and convergence trading. Farzam Kamalabadi, a Persian American, born and raised in Iran, educated in Boston, now residing in Shanghai China for over two decades, is one of the very few personalities widely acclaimed both by the Chinese media and also recognized by the China government leadership at large as a true "China Hand" and a leading authority on China. Prior to joining the Group, Mark was Head of Institutional Business Development for Fidelity Investments in Hong Kong. Stuart Leckie is based in Hong Kong and advises on investments and pensions in Asia. He is the author of books titled “Pension Funds in China” and “Investment Funds in China”. He is the Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association, and acts as a trustee of a number of retirement schemes. Mr. Leckie worked in life insurance in the UK before moving to Hong Kong in 1979. He served as the Chairman of Watson Wyatt in Asia-Pacific and as Chairman of Fidelity Investments, Asia-Pacific. He has advised the Chinese Government on pensions reform. Dr. Kevin Lu, an expert in global capital markets and enterprise risk management, is currently the Acting Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the private sector investment guarantee arm of the World Bank focusing on cross-border investments in emerging markets. In this capacity, Dr. Lu runs MIGA's corporate finance, investment management, risk management, accounting, budget, reinsurance, syndication and portfolio management functions. Dr. Lu is also actively involved in strategy setting for the Agency. He is a member of the Agency's Senior Management Team which runs the day-to-day operations, the Project Review Committee which approves all new investment guarantees as well as the Claims Committee which approves all claim payments. He also sits on the Bank Group Emergency Management Team and Business Continuity Management Committee. During his tenure with the World Bank Group, Dr. Lu has been responsible for setting strategic asset allocation, investment benchmarks, risk parameters and compliance of investment portfolios totaling $16 billion. He authored the Board-approved Investment Policy and Investment Authorizations for MIGA's operating capital portfolio, and participated in complex multilateral funding packages in excess of $25 billion for the World Bank's concessional finance business. He is also working closely with the Bank's Treasury in advising external clients, including sovereign wealth funds, on investment management issues. Dr. Lu was previously associated with Credit Suisse First Boston and Global Risk Advisors, both in New York. He was on the adjunct faculty of the Kogod Business School of American University, teaching an MBA quantitative finance course.

Mr. Andy Mantel is Founder & Chief Investment Officer of Hong Kong-based Pacific Sun Investment Management and Portfolio Manager of The China Mantou Fund. Mr. Mantel was the founding Portfolio Manager for China’s first fund management company Shanghai International Asset Management, a joint venture set up in the early 1990’s between the Shanghai government and one of Taiwan’s largest business groups. He was with the firm from inception in 1992 until 1998 and was responsible for managing their listed securities portfolio. Mr. Mantel also worked at Taipei-based Capital Securities where he helped open one of Taiwan’s first QFII accounts in 1991 and prior to that he worked with Lehman Brothers in San Francisco. Altogether he has more than 16 years experience in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Mr. Mantel has a B.A. in Economics from the University of California-Davis, a Diploma in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a M.A. in International Relations in conjunction with the China Business Centre of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Sandra Manzke, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, founded Maxam Capital Management LLC in April 2005. Prior to that, Sandra was the founder and co-CEO of Tremont Capital Management. She was responsible for the oversight of Tremont’s operations and the development of Tremont’s business plan. She was also a member of the Investment Advisory Board. Sandra oversaw the creation and sale of Tremont’s life insurance products, which were the first to use hedge fund investments. Prior to the formation of Tremont, Sandra was a principal at Rogers, Casey & Barksdale, Inc., a pension fund consulting firm, from 1976 to 1984. While there, she served as the senior consultant to a number of major corporate/ERISA clients. From 1974 to 1976, she worked as an independent consultant at Bernstein Macauley where she was responsible for reviewing the firm’s investment products. She was at Scudder Stevens & Clark from 1969 to 1974, where she established one of their internal measurement systems during her tenure as an Investment Manager. Sandra has extensive experience in designing and implementing multi-manager, multiasset class investment programs. She has broad experience in all aspects of pension fund consulting, manager research, performance measurement, and program administration. Out of this expertise, she formed the Minority Equity Trust, a program that focuses on minority and women-owned investment managers. Sandra was instrumental in Tremont becoming the first major consulting firm to focus on hedge fund managers, making its first investment almost twenty years ago. Creative and innovative solutions to financial needs are among her strengths. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt.

Mr. Nguyen has over 12 years of private equity, investment banking and consulting experience. He is a director of Wuyi International Pharmaceuticals Investment Co., Ltd, a Fujian-based pharmaceutical company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (code: 1889.HK). He is the Vice Chairman of China Huiyin Group Limited, a Jiangsu-based household appliance and consumer electronics retail chain store operator. Mr. Nguyen was formerly a director of Sino Environmental Technology Group Ltd, a Fujian-based environmental waste management company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange (code: Y62.SI). Mr. Nguyen was previously Vice President of Daiwa Securities SMBC and was responsible for all Greater China investment banking activities. As the Associate Director of Equity Capital Markets at Crédit Agricole Indosuez, he was responsible for the Taiwan/HK markets. Mr. Nguyen previously worked for Citigroup’s M&A department and the management consulting and treasury groups at Northern Telecom. Mr Poon Siew Loong, Chief Investment Officer, Ascendas China, a subsidiary of Ascendas, Asia's leading provider of business space solutions, is responsible for the real estate investment and asset management aspects of Ascendas’ operations in China. He was part of the team that set up the S$600 million Ascendas China Industrial & Business Parks Fund, which invests in income-generating industrial real estate, and the S$800 million Ascendas China Commercial Fund, which invests in income-generating commercial real estate. Mr Poon has 13 years of investment experience in the private equity industry. He helped to set up Alpha Investment Partners Ltd, a real estate investment management company in Singapore owned by Keppel Land Ltd, and led the thrust into China. Besides China, Mr Poon has also successfully invested in Japan, USA, Israel, Vietnam and Thailand. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and has graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the National University of Singapore. He was awarded a Gold Medal by the Marketing Institute of Singapore in the Graduate Diploma in Marketing program.

Wilfred Sit is responsible in managing the Asia Pacific ex-Japan team of portfolio managers and analysts based in Hong Kong and Singapore. He manages the Mirae Asset China Discovery Fund and the Asia Pacific Sector Leader Fund, as well as various China mandates. He is also responsible for overseeing the sector funds run by the regional sector analysts, and is a core member of the regional strategy and asset allocation team. Before joining Mirae Asset, Wilfred worked at Baring Asset Management Asia for three years. As Head of Asian Equities, he was responsible for regional investment research and strategy. He managed Baring Asia High Alpha Funds, including Baring Eastern Trust and Baring Asia Growth Fund. The former was awarded Best Eastern Trust in 2006 by Money Observer magazine of the UK. Wilfred was also co-head of the China team and managed the Greater China Fund which is a prominent closed-end China fund in the US. He also co-managed the Baring China Absolute Return Fund, a long-short fund focusing on Greater China equities. Prior to Barings, Wilfred worked at INVESCO Asia for 10 years where he managed INVESCO Greater China Opportunities Fund and the INVESCO Perpetual HK China Fund. Wilfred has a BBA in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). He is also a CFA and a CPA charterholder.

He spent several years performing research work at INRIA (The French National Research Institute for Computer Science and Control).
