    The difference

    Guess who is back?
The wholesale market is at last showing signs of price stabilisation. As demand for capacity, wireless services and content delivery increases, it is in fact you that is set to benefit.  However, a recent study has suggested that carriers in their eagerness to capitalize on new opportunities will repeat the mistakes of the past with over-deployment of capacity brining down cost.

The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf

The story of the shepherd tending his flock near a village is often told.  The boy cried: "Wolf! Wolf! Help me or the wolf will kill my sheep!" The villagers heard him and several times came. But the boy always laughed at them because there was no wolf – it was just a cruel joke. One day a real wolf came along and attacked his flock, but the people did not come to his aid as they didn’t believe him.
The story provides an accurate parable to many a conference experience – you were probably delivered with regional managers, second-rate vendors and investors discussing the issues – not the c-level speakers from tier one carriers that you were promised.  The 14th annual Carriers World conference is different and for twelve years has consistently looked at the opportunities that exist through the prism of the market leaders.

    Heard that claim before, right?

When it comes to wholesale in Europe no other event provides you with the networking opportunities that Carriers World does.  Why do all six of the worlds largest wireline providers send the C-level representative to take part?
    • Europe largest and longest running pure wholesale conference – now in its 14th year
    • 45 of the world’s largest 50 carriers by revenues represented
    • Mobile operators from Europe, India and Asia all represented
    • Over 3,500 people in attendance since 1994
    • Over 25 hours of planned networking – 10 more than any other European based carrier event!
