Feasibility, engineering design studies of New Tendaho Sugar Project with 26,000 TCD, Expansion Project of Finchaa Sugar Factory from 4400 TCD to 10,000 TCD, Feasibility Study on Irrigation & Agricultural Land Extension of Wonji Shoa Sugar Factory, 4700 ha and Feasibility study of Ethanol Plant for Metahara Sugar Plant all in Ethiopia have been conducted under his direct supervision & guidance.
Presently holds position of Director General of Ethiopian Sugar Development Agency, a Government Organization responsible for the operation and development of Public Sugar Industries in Ethiopia.

Dr. Deepchand holds a PhD Degree from the University of Mauritius, a degree in Sugar Technology and a Diploma in Agriculture and Sugar Technology. He is a Sugar Technologist by profession and was a Researcher, Lecturer and an Associate Professor at the University of Mauritius from 1977-1997. He was the Deputy Executive Director/Technical Manager and is currently the Technical Advisor at the Mauritius Sugar Authority, which is the apex organisation on sugar matters in Mauritius. Dr. Deepchand has contributed to a wide range of technical reports on issues related to the sugar industry (including the most recent Multi-Annual Adaptation Strategy – Action Plan 2006-2015 for the Mauritian Sugar Industry) and special publications in international journals such as the International Sugar Journal, the Energy for Sustainable Development Journal and the International Energy Policy Journal.

Paul joined HSBC in 1998 and responsible for HSBC Africa's actitivities in
the Debt & Infrastructure space (based in Johannesburg). Within
Sub-Saharan Africa, Paul has acted / is acting as HSBC team leader on the following power and industrial sector assignments: PBMR (South Africa) - Financial Adviser on the development of their business case for their 4th generation nuclear reactor development (ongoing) and Eskom (South Africa), Financial Adviser on the due diligence of Projects Bravo, Medupi and Lima, together with the Duvha Station Upgrade.
Before relocating to Africa, Paul acted as lead adviser to the Government of Saudi Arabia on its successful and record-breaking greenfield IWPP privatisation programme (2003 - 2006) and also advised the Saudi Government on the ongoing privatisation of Riyadh's three waste water treatment plants (2007). Paul has acted as Financial Adviser or MLA to 13 Middle East IPPs / IWPPs (in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Oman and Israel). Elsewhere, Paul has acted as MLA of the acquisition financing of power plants and integrated electricity utilities (UK), as well as of a global power plant portfolio (13 assets in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia), and worked on numerous assignments in the petrochemicals, transport, pipeline, steel and social infrastructure sectors,
Paul holds a BA from Birmingham University, a MA from London University and an MBA from Henley Management College (all UK).

Andrew is a senior executive involved in all aspects of the management of the South Africa Infrastructure Fund and the African Infrastructure Investment Fund. Andrew is routinely involved in the due diligence and execution of transactions across a range of infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining Macquarie in 2001, Andrew held a senior management position with an international toll road operator and developer, involved in the commercial development of toll road projects in Africa and Asia.
Andrew represents the Fund on the Boards of the main toll road investments and is active in the Management Committees of these projects. Andrew is a director of the Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessions (N4 West) and the Trans African Concessionaire (N4 East Maputo Corridor).

Extensive involvement has been in project planning and development, research and project monitoring. Proficient in applying financial models for the assessment of public and private investment projects. Major projects involved include Songo Songo Gas Development and Power Generation Project, Mnazi Bay gas to Power Project, Mini Hydro Rehabilitation Study and a series of electrification projects.

A graduate electrical engineer, Cliff Lewis currently develops the Suez Energy opportunities in Southern Africa. He is an experienced power project developer having worked in Australia, Asia and Africa. A registered professional electrical engineer, he worked for Eskom and in private practice as a consulting engineer. He co-developed the bagasse-coal 70 MW co-generation Belle Vue Plant with SIDEC in Mauritius and was the Project director to Duke Engineering who executed the turnkey construction of this plant. He was part of the Duke Energy Australia team developing the Bell Bay Power Station re-powering project. He has also done preliminary development work in Malaysia, Myanmar and India for customers such as Tractebel and Sasol.
