2 days of discussion and debate
Clean Energy Australia 2008 will to set the direction for the industry in the coming year. It will help the industry maximise revenue potential through diversification, better technologies and increased investment.

About Clean Energy Australia 2008
The global market for renewable energy reached annual investment of $US38 billion in 2005, up from about $US8 billion in 2000. Owing to our natural advantages, Australia has unrivalled solar, wind, and geothermal resources and could be a leader in creating a vibrant energy industry.
Prime Minister Rudd has announced a new national clean energy target requiring that 30,000 gigawatt hours per year come from low emission sources by 2020. Those sources include renewable energy, as well as fossil-fuel power generation which uses carbon capture storage. The national scheme is designed to replace the individual state and territory schemes.

As the reality of climate change increasingly dawns on government, business leaders and the Australian public, there is also an increasing awareness of the business opportunities presented by the renewable energy industry.
