Ali H. Khalil has over 20 years’ investment banking experience. He is also a Director of Markaz Energy Fund. He received a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MS in Operations Research from Texas A&M University and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

After four years with the bank, he joined DresdnerKleinwortWasserstein (DrKW) in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for trading with international customers in the fields of precious metals and commodities. Business with mining operations, central banks, hedge funds and commodity investors contributed to his substantiated record. At Tiberius he is in charge of trading. Tiberius is an asset management group domiciled in Zug, Switzerland, with offices in Geneva and Stuttgart. The founding partners combine over 30 years of experience in commodity trading and alternative asset management. He was later a Vice-President and shareholder of Drexel Burnham Lambert as an Investment Banker in charge of Southern Europe and was located in Brussels, Belgium (where he was registered as a principal with the New York Stock Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade), before becoming the Senior Advisor to the Dunn & Hargitt and Winchester Life International Groups more than 20 years ago and then the CEO."  The Dunn & Hargitt and the Winchester Life International Groups specialise in the management of money in the Commodity, Precious Metals, Currencies and Financial Futures Markets for High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices and Financial Institutions throughout the world.  The Dunn & Hargitt International Group was first founded in 1965 in the United States and compiled the first Data Bank on Commodity Futures prices.  The Dunn & Hargitt International Administration Offices were set up in Brussels, Belgium in 1975.

Deborah A. Fuhr, Managing Director, heads the Investment Strategies Group at Morgan Stanley based in London.  The unit consults with institutional investors and writes on the implementation and strategy on the use of Delta 1 products - including Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on equity, fixed income and commodity indices globally, OPALS (Optimised Portfolios As Listed Securities), certificates, swaps, futures, TOPAS, Index Funds, out-performance trades, securities lending and yield enhancement trades. In 2007, Ms Fuhr won an award for the Greatest Overall Contribution to the development of the Global ETF industry in 2006.  In 2006, the organisations honoured Ms Fuhr for meritorious service to the ETF Industry.  The award recognized her as one of the early strategists to cover exchange traded products, specifically for her work on OPALS and ETFs.  In addition, the Greenwich Associates survey of institutional investors in Europe in 2002 - 2006, ranked Morgan Stanley first for ETF strategy.  Ms Fuhr was also ranked in the 2007 Financial News Top 100 Women in Finance, a distinguished list of the most influential women in European Finance.

Richard spent six years with a Toronto based investment firm whose services for institutional investors focused on various hedge fund strategies.  Subsequently, he built and managed the investment management subsidiary of a private wealth firm. In 2002, Richard co-founded an investment firm managing long-only GAA mandates for private investors and short-only “beta filtering” overlays for multi-strategy hedge funds/FOFs.  In addition to running his firm, Richard was retained by a FOFs for two years as its Chief Investment Officer.  He currently writes a blog, The Beta Brief (www.thebetabrief.com), which is a commentary and analysis on matters related to beta including indexing, exchange traded funds (”ETFs”), derivatives, their application in the portfolio management process and their effect on the investment industry.

Dr. Chung is currently the Vice President and Director of Risk Management at the Parker Global Strategies LLC.  Dr. Chung received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Master of Finance from Boston College, and M.B.A from Illinois State University.  Dr. Chung has published various articles in journals such as the Journal of International Business and Finance, the Journal of Alternative Investment along with numerous research and consulting endeavors in the area of financial risk management and measurement.  Dr. Chung’s current research interests include: Risk Measurement (VaR) and Management through Derivatives Markets, Alternative Investment (Hedge Funds, CTAs, Managed Futures, etc.) strategies, Futures Market Microstructure, and International Banking and Finance.
