Meet the key decision makers from the CEE & CIS region
The region’s leading rail event returns for 2008 with a revised format, refreshed content and a wider range of industry leading speakers.
Topics being discussed include:
- Developing a sustainable transportation policy
- The internalisation of external costs
- Regulation and liberalisation
- Competition and strategic partnerships
- Finance, investment and development and much, much more.
Now introducing the “Intermodal Transport & Logistics Day”
This is an event that reacts to industry trends in order to address the key issues that you want to hear about. As such we are now offering a day dedicated to intermodal transport and logistics, as companies across all modes look to find a suitable, sustainable co-modal solution in line with EC goals and ultimately for the benefit of all concerned.
This will offer you the chance to learn how to effectively overcome the challenges standing in the way of co-modality and will put you in a position to capitalise on the opportunities afforded by a co-modal future.
An unbeatable speaker line up
As usual we have an exceptional speaker line up but this year we have broadened the scope to ensure that each and every major rail operator and infrastructure manager is represented.
Rail operators speaking include: Russian Railways (RZD), Deutsche Bahn, Rail Cargo Austria, MAV Cargo, PKP Cargo, České Dráhy and ZSSK Cargo
Infrastructure managers speaking include: ÖBB-Infrastruktur Betrieb, MÁV, PKP PLK, SŽDC and CFR
Government bodies speaking include: European Commission, Federal Office of Transport (Switzerland), Ministry of Transport (Czech Republic) and Ministry of Transport (Slovakia)
A new format designed to encourage more audience participation
CEE Rail 2008 offers you the most in-depth agenda of any event of its kind, with cutting edge presentations from approx. 40 speakers from over 15 countries. This year we have revitalised the structure of the event to encourage more audience participation. The afternoon sessions are now filled with interactive panel sessions, debates and breakout sessions offering you the opportunity to turn the tables on the speakers – present your own thoughts and ideas on the conference’s key subjects.
With multiple and wide-ranging networking opportunities
CEE Rail 2008 is of course the ideal place to share your experiences, remain up-to-date and make sure you know where the market is heading. However it is also renowned as the industry’s major networking event of the year. The new interactive format allows you to interact with the speakers and other delegates, but throughout the conference there are also the lengthy coffee and lunch breaks and of course our legendary Speed Networking session.
An end to the conference day does not mean an end to the networking. Drinks receptions will be held after both the “Intermodal Transport & Logistics Day” and “Conference Day One”. Following on from these drinks receptions, MAV Cargo will host a networking function at one of Budapest’s many historic sites and we will also be hosting the annual CEE Rail Gala Dinner at the famous Gundel restaurant.
Leave the boardroom behind and do business with global decision makers
In addition to our speaker faculty consisting exclusively of director level executives, over 75% of the delegates that attend are director level or above.
So if you are in involved in the CEE rail market then you cannot afford to miss this event! Last year’s event attracted over 100 attendees representing over 20 countries. This year, it’s going to be bigger, bolder and better in every way – so don’t delay, book your place today!
