David Anstee is 7-Eleven’s Innovation Manager, a sessional lecture in Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University’s MBA program, and an inventor. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, and graduated with a distinction MBA from London Business School. He has worked as an investment banker for Merrill Lynch, a diving instructor in Cairns, an assistant cameraman for National Geographic in the Arctic and a professional fox shooter.

Geoff Begg is Vice President & GM of Corporate Services for American Express Global Commercial Card in Asia Pacific and Australia.  In this role he heads the Commercial Card business in Australia and leads the acquisition team across ten countries in the region.

He is responsible for all products in the Commercial expense management portfolio of solutions including Corporate Card, Meetings Card, Corporate Purchasing Solutions and the Business Travel Account.  Since joining the company in 2002 Geoff has helped grow American Express’ Commercial Card business by 30% each year.

Previously he has held a senior Asia/Pacific strategic operations role as well as being a Board member of EDS Australia. Iain holds an Honours Degree in Economics from Aberdeen University and is a qualified accountant. In 1998 he attended the Stanford University Executive Program.

Ed leads the Consumer Lending businesses for St George Bank with responsibility for Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Personal Loans.  Ed has been with St George Bank for five years and in this time St George has been awarded “Credit Card Issuer of the year” in 2005, 2006 and 2007 by Money Magazine.  The Consumer product suite is well recognised, the Vertigo product holds several Money magazine awards and St George have numerous Cannex 5 star ratings for Credit Card and Personal loan products.

Ed’s financial services experience spans 20 years and his background includes senior roles in Retail Banking, Product Management, Marketing, Franchise development, and distribution strategy.  Prior to St George he was with Westpac and Colonial Ltd, Ed has an MBA with the University of NSW.

Michele commenced work at the Reserve Bank in 1985.  She worked in Economic Group and International Department before joining Payments Policy Department in 1998 as Chief Manager.  Michele has been the Head of Payments Policy Department since February 2007.
Michele has been involved in all aspects of the Bank’s work on payment systems over the past decade, including the reforms to card payment systems in Australia, issues in high-value payment systems and licensed securities clearing and settlement facilities, and the current review of payment system reforms.

He then became Group Managing Director of The Harpur Group Limited - an international processor and issuer of corporate cards.
Carl has an MBA from The Cranfield School of Management.

Mandy has 31 years experience in Australian Department of Defence computing, which has ranged from computer room and site management, mainframe operational policy development and, finally, computing strategic policy and capability development.   
Her position as Director of eBusiness Strategies has brought responsibility for ‘e-matters’ in Defence for the last 10 or so years ranging from Defence, whole-of-government and Allied  eBusiness and PKI policy, architecture and strategy issues.  In the Defence and Allied environments this work is germane to the support of future military operational strategies, such as Network Centric Warfare (NCW), Force 2020 and the GIG.  
A major aspect of Mandy’s current responsibilities is as sponsor in the development of an Identity Management capability in Defence.

Christopher Hamilton commenced as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Australian Payments Clearing Association Limited on 1 January 2006. APCA is the payments industry self regulatory body and industry association.

Prior to this appointment, he was Executive General Manager, Clearing & Settlement at Australian Stock Exchange Limited (ASX). Mr Hamilton worked at ASX throughout the transition from a stockbrokers’ mutual into the world’s first self-listed stock exchange, a period that also saw the market explode in activity with average trades per day rising tenfold from 12,000 to 120,000 over a 10 year period. For 4 years until 2005, Chris was responsible for ASX’s clearing and settlement business: managing counterparty risk for ASX’s equities and options markets, ensuring securities delivery against payment for trades work $2 - 4 billion per day and keeping the central register of Australia’s 1.2 million most active shareholdings.

In June 2007, Mr Hickey was appointed EGM, Loyalty Programs.  Mr Hickey is responsible for establishing the Loyalty business as a separate segment within the Qantas Group, and developing the next generation of loyalty programs for Qantas, including increasing the options for earning and using points in the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program.

Mr Hickey joined Qantas Airways as Head of Group Strategy in September 2004, and has since taken on additional responsibility for corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, fleet strategy, and long term network planning. He has worked on the development of the Loyalty business strategy since mid-2006.

Mr Hickey is a Director of Air Pacific Limited, flag carrier of Fiji.

Skander was appointed Managing Director Card Solutions, GE Money Australia & New Zealand in May 2004.  This group comprised the Coles Group Source MasterCard, Coles Group Card and Officeworks card. With the divestiture of Myer from Coles Group, the Myer Card was launched in November 2006 and was also part of the Card Solutions group.

In September 2007 GE Money Australia & New Zealand combined the Card Solutions and Retail Finance teams to form the Retailer Solutions team and Skander was appointed to his current role of Managing Director, Retailer Solutions.  The Retailer Solutions group includes the Coles Group Source MasterCard, Coles Group Card, Officeworks Card, Myer Card, Harvey Norman GO MasterCard, GE Creditline and GE CareCredit products, and services over 12,000 retailers and practice partnerships in Australia.  There are over 3 million accounts and 4 billion in assets in the group.

Ramin Marzbani is a market researcher and consultant with more than 12 years of experience in the online transaction space in Australia and the Asia Pacific region and 22 years of experience in the application of IT to financial services.  Ramin spent 10 years at IBM and Booz-Allen & Hamilton before founding www consult, where he was CEO and principal analyst before acquisition of the business by ACNielsen.
 
Ramin sits on a number of boards and advisory boards in Australia and the US including: Indigo VC Partners, Project Goth, Event Zero, MIR Funds Management, The MINDD Foundation and a number of other organisations.  Ramin is a member of the Market and Social Research Society of Australia and TiE.  He holds an MBA and a BE.
