Dr Ka Keung Chan is Managing Director and Head of Investments Greater China. Prior to CCC, Dr Chan was Managing Director of Renewable Energy for CLP Holdings, where he was responsible for the development and operation of renewable energy projects in Asia Pacific and led all CLP’s project financing, corporate restructuring and acquisition in China. Previously, he was the General Manager of Corporate Finance, for the Concord Group: a conglomeration of businesses in property, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, banking and information technology. Dr Chan was responsible for all of Concord Group’s corporate finance activities in Hong Kong, China and Thailand. Mr. S. Chandrasekhar is Managing Director of Bhoruka Power Corporation Limited, a leading Renewable Energy Developer in the country. The company has received several awards in the field of “Green Power”. An Electrical Engineer and Alumnus of London Business School, he has been associated with power sector in India for over 30 years and has worked in several reputed Companies.

In 2006, following the restructure of Western Power into four separate entities, he was appointed to a business development role in electricity generator, Verve Energy, charged to seek out business opportunities across the sustainable energy industry spectrum. Over the past seven years, renewable energy projects valued in excess of A$130 million were installed or are currently under completion. He is on the Commonwealth Government Renewable Energy Committee assessing grant applications under the A$100 million Renewable Energy Development Initiative, and was formally a member of the A$35 million Australian Greenhouse Office Technical Expert Reference Group for the Advanced Electricity Storage Technologies grants program.

Suzanne Chew is a Senior Emissions Broker in the Carbon credit team of TFS Green, and has successfully worked with a range of Asian project owners and consultants, across the CDM cycle. She focuses on Southeast Asia and spends her time between the London headquarters and the local TFS Singapore office, with frequent travel to Thailand, Vietnam and other Asian nations.

Mr Chew oversees the Group’s daily operations and he is a Qualified Person as defined by the Legal Profession Act and holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore. Mr Chew ran his law practice together with other partners till 2003 when he left practice for the corporate world. Takashi Hongo is Special Advisor and Director General of the Environment Finance Engineering Department, established in October 2006, in Japan Bank for International Cooperation. He joined the Export-Import Bank of Japan in 1981 and served as Director for the Middle East and Africa, International Finance Department II, Director for the Environment Risk Analysis Department and Chief Representative in Frankfurt. In addition to engaging in financing operations for GHG emission reduction projects, he is helping develop new frontiers, such as the demand side approach for CDM, Green Investment Scheme, and Market Approach Adaptation.

Craig Nalder is currently employed as Head of Trading for NewGen Power, a position he has held since June 2005. Ambassador Standertskjöld joined the European Commission in 1996 after a 20 year career with the Finnish Ministry of Foreign affairs, where he served in various Directorates and in the Finnish Missions in Madrid, Geneva and Sydney. Bhd. Today SV Carbon is the biggest CDM project developer in Malaysia with more than 30 projects under development for different clients. From January 2008 SV Carbon has become part of YTL Group under the name YTL-SV Carbon Sdn. Bhd.

Chief Representative of Enel S.p.A., he has been in China since 2005 with the responsibility of implementing carbon sourcing strategy in the Chinese market. Previous to the experience in the Chinese market he Prior to join Enel S.p.A. he worked for Edison, Air Liquide and Foster Wheeler and matured more than 10 years experience in the energy sector working in various function as marketing and business development and in various west and east European markets.

Olli Virta is the person behind the most talked about SGDS$1.2 billion biggest biodiesel plant in the world which will soon be set up in Singapore. The plant will have a design capacity of 800,000 t/a, making it the largest facility producing diesel fuel from renewable feedstocks anywhere. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil refinery business. Currently the President of Neste Oil in Singapore, he is responsible of ensuring the operation and sustainability of this plant. He was formerly the Vice President for Manufacturing and Chief Refining Officer of AB Nynas Petroleum and Managing Director of Nynas Refining AB. He was also the former General Manager of Naantali Refinery, Mr. Virta has several years of experience in the global refinery business.

Ziyuan Wang is CDM Project Manager at Shell Trading [Environmental Product Trading Business]. She is responsible for the sourcing and managing of both internal and external CDM projects. Her professional experience covers the whole CDM process from project identification to issuance of CERs. Ziyuan was closely involved in the project that had the first CER’s ever issued in China.

Mr. Qi, Wenjie is a Senior Engineer in the major of Project Management and has been the director of the Management Office for World Bank Financed Project (PMO) in Tianjin for about 10 years. His extensive background in urban infrastructure planning and management includes plan and design of infrastructure, budget management, project monitoring, organization reforming for the management of public utility sectors and the forecasting of urban infrastructure demands.
