Negotiations and Strategies in Central Asia
This masterclass will address the issues surrounding the negotiation & implementation of mining & exploration concessions/ licenses in Central Asia. It will explore mining sector joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions and other forms of strategic alliances in the region evaluating key processes and country differences. Led by a leading international legal firm and/or risk management expert, the class will provide participants with critical knowledge and practical information pertaining to legal and regulatory issues and will provide a comparison of the various agreements and discuss the different approaches taken and issues that arise across different Central Asian countries. Using case studies of recent transactions, it will also identify potential pitfalls and key strategies.
