Jenny Bailey is General Manager of Billing and Contact Services at Yarra Valley Water – Melbourne, Australia. Jenny has degrees in Engineering and Environmental Science and an MBA from Melbourne Business School. Her current role includes meter reading, meter fleet maintenance, bill preparation, debt management, and Customer Contact Centre which services both billing and faults & emergencies enquiries. Prior to her current role she was General Manager of Strategy and Communications which included economic regulation, business strategy, marketing, water conservation and communications. Prior to joining Yarra Valley Water seven years ago she worked in the mining industry for Rio Tinto and prior to that worked in engineering and environmental consultancy.

Mr Dario De Bortoli

Dario De Bortoli joined Origin Energy in 2002 after gaining extensive experience in the Australian telecommunication industry with Telstra and the energy sector with CitiPower. Dario has held a variety of roles with Origin, primarily in the product management and development areas. He is now responsible for managing community change as the Program Manager, for the Adelaide and Central Victoria Solar City initiatives.
The Solar Cities Project is a $75 million initiative of the Australian Government covering seven regions in Australia.
A key component of the Adelaide project is the development of innovative pricing using smart meters, communications technology and In Home Displays to foster ongoing community engagement.

Mr Robert Dixon

Dr. Dixon served as Associate Director, International Activities, Council on Environmental Quality, Executive Office of the U.S. President in 2004-2005 (The White House).
Dr. Dixon served as U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Power Technologies from 1999-2002. Dixon originally joined DoE in 1997 and has been employed in a variety of senior positions addressing policy analysis, research and development programs. In 2004 the U.S. President honored Dixon with the U.S. government Senior Executive Service Gold Award for service to DoE and the nation
Dr. Dixon led two U.S. Presidential Initiatives from 1992-1998: the U.S. Country Studies Program and the U.S. Initiative on Joint Implementation to advance the strategic goals of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC). Dixon has served on the U.S. negotiating team for the U.N. FCCC since 1990. He has also served in a variety of senior U.S. diplomatic assignments, lived in seven countries during his career, and developed foreign language capabilities.

Neil has extensive high-tech development experience and is responsible for Arc’s technology strategy development, technical research, analysis and product development. In addition to technology development, Neil also manages the intellectual property portfolio.
Neil has over 15 years experience in mobile telephony development in the international market place including the United Kingdom, US, Mexico, Ireland, India and New Zealand. Neil has specialised experience with software and systems engineering technology such as GSM, GPRS and UMTS.
Neil has held senior positions at a number of global organisations including Motorola and Lucent Technologies. Neil’s 10 years at Motorola saw him lead a large software development team involved in projects across the UK and India and take the lead as the head System Engineer on a project that delivered the first ever GSM system into the US market. During his time at Lucent, Neil ran a team of development engineers on a 3G wireless infrastructure project for the world wide mobile telephony market.

Mr Murray Jackson

Murray Jackson was appointed Chief Executive of Genesis Power Limited on 1 April, 1999 following the split up of ECNZ into competing generation and retailing businesses and their separation from monopoly transmission and distribution network service providers. Genesis Power Limited has generating capacity of 1 600 MW; comprising hydro, thermal, wind and cogeneration plants, as well as a large portfolio of commercial and industrial customers and approximately 600,000 residential electricity and gas customers. Genesis Power has interests in coal and gas, including a 70 per cent share of the off-shore Kupe gas field.
Murray holds a Masters Degree in Business, a Bachelor Degree in Economics and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
Murray’s engineering career included the commissioning of 200MW, 500MW and 660MW coal fired power plants in Victoria and New South Wales.
In 1993 Murray took up the position of Commissioner of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority, a dual electricity generation and irrigation scheme located within Australia’s high alpine Kosciouszko National Park. Responsibility included restructuring the Authority to participate in the National Electricity Market as a provider of 3 700MW of renewable energy.
On 1 April, 1999 Murray moved to Auckland, New Zealand to establish Genesis Power Ltd as a state owned enterprise, competing in the New Zealand wholesale and retail energy markets. Genesis has assets valued in excess of NZ$1.2 billion and turnover of NZ$1.4 billion per annum and is active in development of new generation opportunities in New Zealand.
Murray is a guarantor member of the Mt Eliza Business School in Melbourne, Chairman of the Genesis Oncology Trust and Chairman of Energy on Line, a wholly owned subsidiary of Genesis Power Limited.
Murray was awarded the Centenary Medal by the Australian Government in June 2003 for service to industry and society.

Guy is a Marketing Product Manager for the Revenue Class Electrical Meter in Asia and Europe. He has fifteen years of professional experience with GE and has held various positions in sales, marketing and operations. The last ten years of his experience has been focused in the Utility industry. In the last two years, Guy has been responsible to establish and implement a product platform for Smart Metering in Asia and Europe, which is based on proven technology from GE Meter in North America. Guy’s successful approach has been to establish local partners in multiple countries to insure to meet the regional requirements of customers.
Guy graduated in Electrical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He currently resides in Portsmouth, NH USA, with a temporary residence in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Martin is the founder and CEO of Pulse Utilities Ltd. He has over 20 years experience in business development roles including South Group of companies (UK, NGO with United Nations), Sky Television and News Corp. He gained an MBA from Auckland University in 1995 and has a passion for energy and the environment. As a communicator he received recognition from Auckland Institute of Technology receiving an Honorary Degree for his contribution to International Advertising and Communications. For the past eight years he has focused on bringing energy efficient technologies to the consumer as an active market participant and inventor. The Pulse technology is now being applied as a way of unbundling electricity pricing to benefit the consumer as a retail brokerunder the brand Energy New Zealand.
