Joao Adamo

Joao Adamo Jr. - Mr. Adamo is Managing Partner at Vision Brazil Investments. Mr. Adamo has an extensive background in banking sector. Mr. Adamo joined Vision from UBS group focusing in implementing and developing Wealth Management products platform in Brazil. During his stay he also played an important role in the integration of Banco Pactual into UBS platform a deal of $3 billion. Prior he worked at Deutsche Bank from 1997 to 2003 as Head of Structured Products. During his period at Deutsche Bank he was appointed as the Country Head of Maxblue Investments - a start up initiative of Deutsche in Latin America. Maxblue was an internet based asset management with an open architecture for access independents Asset Managers in Brazil for retail affluent customers. In 2001 Mr. Adamo sold 49% of Deutsche Bank's stake to Banco do Brasil for USD90million with 11,000 clients on its portfolio. Prior to that Mr. Adamo spent 5 years at Banco Fenícia, a Brazilian Investment Bank, known as an innovative house in terms of Asset Backed Securitization in Brazil back in 1995. Mr. Adamo holds a MS in Philosophy from PUC-SP. Also he has a BA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a JD from University of São Paulo Law School.

Andrés Azicri

 Andres Azicri is the president and founder of Convex Management. Mr. Azicri is the CIO of the Convex Fund. Prior to founding Convex, Andres Azicri was a Managing Partner of Cima Investments and the senior portfolio manager of the Cima Aconcagua Fund, with over 20% average return during the period under his management (2000-2006). He was also president of Safimar S.A., a local mutual fund manager. Before joining Cima, Mr. Azicri was the head of Asset Management at MBA, prior to which he headed the Proprietary Desk for Latin America at Bankers Trust in New York (1997-1999) and the Emerging Markets Fixed Income Research Department at Oppenheimer & Co., in New York (1995-1997). He has more than fifteen years of experience in financial markets in Argentina and abroad. Mr. Azicri is an economist from the University of Buenos Aires (1988), and has a Master in Economics from Instituto Di Tella (1991) and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of London (1992). He is currently a professor of finance at CEMA University and the University of Buenos Aires. He served as an external consultant for the Argentine gas regulator ENARGAS (2000), and for the Peruvian Pension Fund Regulator (1996).

 

Caroline S. Bentz

Ms. Bentz has been with Parker Global Strategies since its founding in 1995.  Her principal areas of focus include strategy allocation, portfolio management, manager research, due diligence and new product development/structuring.  Ms. Bentz has been performing extensive research and due diligence on hedge fund managers for over 12 years. She has been instrumental in the development and management of the Parker FX Index, Parker Systematic FX Index and Parker Discretionary FX Index, performance-based indices for currency managers with data back to 1986.  She has supervised the construction of PGS’s proprietary database of over 2,500 hedge fund programs and, during the past decade, she has overseen the research team’s on-site due diligence of over 1,000 managers. In 2003, Ms. Bentz and her team performed considerable work on Japanese long/short equity managers and distressed securities mangers as part of specific client mandates. Additionally, since joining PGS, Ms. Bentz has set up over 35 investment funds and thirteen multi-manager programs. Ms. Bentz is a member of the Investment, Portfolio, Management, Risk Management and Implementation Committees.  Additionally, she serves as Director for several of PGS’s funds. Prior to joining PGS, Ms. Bentz was a Research Associate at Ferrell Capital Management where she participated in hedge fund manager due diligence and was instrumental in developing a family of single-manager and multi-manager offshore funds applying a variety of  strategies across a broad spectrum of asset classes.  Prior to this, Ms. Bentz worked in the Asset Management Group of Prudential Securities Inc., structuring U.S. and offshore open-end and closed-end funds for retail investors in the U.S. and 14 countries worldwide. She was responsible for the evaluation of non-proprietary products for inclusion in the national sales network. Ms. Bentz graduated magna cum laude with an AB in Government-International Relations from Georgetown University in 1990.

Prior to joining Chase 1994, he was employed with J.P. Morgan for eight years where he held the position of Co-Head of Mortgage Backed Securities Trading for 18 months. During his employment with J.P. Morgan he also ran US dollar interest rate options trading, within the US dollar derivatives business. Mr Dominguez holds a Bachelors degree and Doctorate in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires.

Marcelo Schunn Diniz Junqueira

Marcelo Junqueira, 38 years, is an Agronomist with MSc in Business Administration. Mr. Junqueira has being working with agribusiness for more than 15 years including submission, and subsequent approval, of first new methodology (NM0001) for carbon emission reduction calculation, under Clean Development Mechanism on the Kyoto Protocol, providing certification of emission reduction from sugarcane waste biomass electricity cogeneration projects. Mr. Littlejohn is the Latin American representative of Paul Capital Partners based in Sao Paulo.  In Brazil since 1989, he has been active in principal investing, in the US and Brazil, and in corporate finance.  He was previously a partner of BPE Investimentos and its predecessor, Brasilpar, a Brazilian primary private equity fund manager whose portfolios have included companies such as Datasul, Injepet, Mobitel, Getec, Autotrac, Armco Staco and others. BPE has invested in 15 Brazilian medium sized companies with a combined enterprise value of over R$1.5 billion.  Before joining Brasilpar in 1995, he was director and President and major shareholder of AVM Auto-equipamentos Ltda, a local auto parts manufacturer and Partner of Pirelli Fintec Ltda, a financial advisory firm associated with the Pirelli Group.  He began his career in New York with the S&W Berisford (UK) Group concentrating on the coffee, cocoa and sugar business. He spent 10 years in Ecuador as CEO of  Productos Ecuatorianos (Prodec) a leading coffee and cocoa exporter. Mr. McCain is one of three founders of Parish Capital Advisors, LLC, which focuses on providing institutional investors access to small, experienced private equity funds.
