Mr. Sakda Sreesangkom spent 13 years as an investment banker for several international houses including Nikko Securities, Credit Suisse First Boston and SBC Warburg. In addition, he served as a consultant on debt management for the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and provided technical assistance to Public Debt Management Office of Ministry of Finance as an Asian Development Bank consultant. Prior to joining EGCO, he was the Senior Vice President in charge of financial management of Glow Company Limited, a company in the Tractebel Group. Mr. Sakda Sreesangkom holds B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Thammasat University, Thailand and M.A. in Economics from Keio University, Tokyo, Japan.

Roy Adair is the President & CEO of Senoko Power which is the largest electricity generator and retailer in the Singapore Electricity Market. Senoko Power has a licensed capacity of 3,300MW of which nearly 2000MW is combined cycle gas turbine technology.
Roy joined Senoko Power with extensive experience of the UK and Australian electricity markets and worldwide experience of the utilities industry. Roy advised on the privatisation of the UK electricity market and joined Powergen, one of the two large electricity generators, ahead of the commencement of the UK electricity market. Roy held several senior management positions with Powergen prior to becoming Chief Executive of Yallourn Energy, the Victorian generator and retailer acquired by Powergen in 1996 in consortium with several Australian institutional investors.

He has 35 years experience in North America, South America and throughout Asia. After working as a consultant in Indonesia for 7 years, he joined Paiton in mid-1998, and is responsible for all plant operations, fuel supply and risk management issues. James was also a key member of Paiton’s negotiation teams for restructuring of the PPA and US$ 1.8 billion project debt following the Asian economic crisis. He is now leading Paiton’s team on the development of the 800MW Paiton Expansion Project, which is scheduled to be in commercial operation in late 2011. James is a Chartered Engineer, and also has postgraduate degrees in business administration, construction law, and arbitration.

Nic has accumulated experience in a wide range of capital works transactions in the fields of private development, public works and PPP, across a range of sectors, in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Great Britain and Central Europe. In a structural reorganization of Western Power in January 2001, Adrian was reappointed to run a revamped Sustainable Energy Branch focused solely on renewable energy projects. In 2006, following the restructure of Western Power into four separate entities, he was appointed to a business development role in electricity generator, Verve Energy, charged to seek out business opportunities across the sustainable energy industry spectrum. He holds degrees in both agronomy and finance and began his career as an Agronomy Engineer in Mexico. He joined AFD in 1988 as investment officer in charge of project finance in the agro-industrial sector in Ivory Coast, in Cameroon and at PROPARCO’s headquarters. In 1995, he was appointed to the cabinet of the French minister of cooperation in charge of economic and financial matters as well as the follow-up for multilateral and European issues. In 1997 he joined the IFC (World Bank group), in charge of finance structuring in Agribusinesses in Brazil, Argentina and Central America. Three years later, Luc Rigouzzo rejoined the AFD Group as the deputy director for the Mediterranean department. In 2001 he received a mandate from Jean-Michel Severino, AFD’s CEO to lead the team in charge of redefining the Group’s strategy. Finally, from 2002 to 2006, he created and was in charge of the department of non-sovereign funding and financial sector which represented 50% of AFD commitment last year.

During his career with AEP and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Mr. Tam held several senior positions in various influential national trade organizations in the US. He is currently Chairman of Energy Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Standing Director of the National China Investment Association and Vice Chairman of its Foreign Investors Committee, and the founder and current Chairman of the Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF) in Asia.
Mr. Tam was born in China, raised in Hong Kong, and received his college education in UK and USA. He currently resides in Hong Kong and has lived there since 1993.

Greg Thorpe is a Vice President of CRA International, an international business and economics consulting firm and he heads CRA’s Energy and Environment practice in Australia and New Zealand.
He started his career as a power system engineer over 30 years ago and has qualifications in engineering, business, and arbitration & mediation.
From the early 1990s he played a significant role in reform of the electricity sector in Australia that lead to the creation of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and has contributed to gas sector reform. He was an Associate Director of the National Electricity Code Administrator from before the launch of the NEM, until he moved to CRA in 2001.
