Khurram Jafree is currently Director, Head of Investment Management, Middle East for Barclays Wealth based in Dubai. Prior to his move to Dubai, Khurram was Chair of the Investment Committee and Regional Investment Director at Gerrard Investment Management, Barclays Wealth in the UK, overseeing the investment policy and process for $20 billion in private client assets. Prior to this he was team leader and lead investment manager responsible for running both UK and offshore globally invested mandates. He retains his role in managing multi asset class portfolios for private clients. Before joining Barclays Wealth, he specialised in advising Middle Eastern sovereign and institutional clients on their US equity investments, both in the public and private markets having worked at Legg Mason and Oppenheimer & Co in London, and for several years for Oppenheimer in New York. He started his career in New York as a financial futures and commodities specialist before focussing on US equities. He is a visiting lecturer at Cass Business School at City University in London, teaching on the Executive MBA program. He has a BSc in Engineering from the University of Surrey in Guildford, and an MBA from Cass Business School, City University.

Jae Kyu Bae, managing director, is the CIO of Index and Alternative Investment Strategy (AIS) Division (Index and AIS) at Samsung ITMC. Majid is an experienced financial services professional. He has been a key individual in the establishment of Yasaar Limited, the first Shariah compliance services company. Majid in his capacity as chief executive of Yasaar assists financial institutions structure cost-effective Shariah compliant financing structures around the globe. He is a Director of BRR Investments, set up in the early 1980s with shareholders including Robert Fleming and the International Finance Corporation, who are the managers of the first and largest Islamic leasing company in Pakistan. Prior to setting up Yasaar, Majid held the position of country representative for Credit Lyonnais Securities (Asia) Ltd as well as capital markets consultant to Credit Lyonnais and Jardine Fleming, advising on privatisation and capital market issues. Majid is a well known and much sought after speaker on Islamic finance and Shariah, having presented on these topics globally as well as having authored numerous articles for industry journals.In 2004, Majid was presented the Deloitte & Touche award for the most innovative Islamic finance product for the Caravan 1 Sukuk. Dan is the Global Head of Lyxor ETFs Sales & Marketing based in London. Dan has over 15 years of diverse investment industry experiences. Dan joined Lyxor Asset Management from Barclays Global Investors, where he was the UK & Ireland Director of Business Development for iShares. Prior to Barclays, Dan was the UK Sales Manager for UBS Wealth Management, where he helped develop UBS’s UK High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth businesses. He arrived in London in 1999 with Goldman Sachs, where he worked as a convertible bond research analyst and as a US institutional equity salesperson, covering large asset managers and hedge funds. Dan began his career in the Investment Banking Division of Salomon Brothers in New York and was later transferred to Hong Kong and Jakarta for three years. At Salomon Brothers, Dan developed an expertise in power and infrastructure sectors, and he provided advisory services and raised capital for some of the largest power and infrastructure companies in the United States, Latin American and Asia. Dan graduated with an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has a BA from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Deborah A. Fuhr was previously Managing Director and head of the Investment Strategies Group at Morgan Stanley based in London. The unit advised institutional investors globally and writo on the implementation and strategy on the use of Delta 1 products - including Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on equity, fixed income and commodity indices globally, OPALS (Optimised Portfolios As Listed Securities), certificates, swaps, futures, TOPAS, Index Funds, out-performance trades, securities lending and yield enhancement trades. The group published four comprehensive quarterly reports: 1) ETF Global Industry Review, 2) ETF short interest, 3) ETF options and futures and 4) ETF Global Tracking Monitor. It produced reports on specific trade ideas: performs customised analysis for clients critiquing and comparing the various costs of implementing asset allocation strategies using Delta 1 products: publishes quarterly guidebooks on global ETFs, index futures and options, swaps and certificates, OPALS, TOPAS and Shariah Index Funds. The group also maintained the following pages on Bloomberg ETFS , OPALS , MSEQ (for swaps), MSFU (for futures) and MSDP (for certificates) and on Reuters and Telekurs OPALS pages. For the past four years, Morgan Stanley’s Investment Strategies team has been ranked first for Exchange Traded Fund Research by investors in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas in a global survey conducted by ExchangeTradedFunds.com. For the past three years, Deborah has in the same survey won the award for the Greatest Overall Contribution to the development of the Global ETF industry. In 2007, Ms Fuhr was named as one of the Top 100 women in Finance, a distinguished list of the most influential women in European Finance, by Financial News. Ms Fuhr has been assisting clients with the implementation of Delta 1 solutions for over 10 years. She is on the International Advisory Committee (IAC) of the Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchanges (CASE) in Egypt and on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Indexes. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ms. Fuhr was an Associate at Greenwich Associates a financial service consulting firm. She has an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut.

McGraw-Hill published his first book, The New Era of Wealth, in October 1999. He is currently working on a new book, scheduled to be published in 2008 by John Wiley & Sons.
