Jon Addison is the CIO of the Meat Industry Employees Superannuation Fund (MIESF). Prior to taking this part time role Jon was the Fund’s CEO. Jon joined MIESF in June of 1999 and is responsible for the overall management of the Fund. Jon has over 30 years in the investment management industry, including wide experience in superannuation. Prior to his appointment to MIESF, Jon was a Director and Asset Consultant within the Corporate Finance section of PricewaterhouseCoopers and in this role was responsible for establishing an investment consulting practice with clients ranging from superannuation funds to insurance funds and funds managers. Prior to that, Jon was Manager Investment Consultant at Sedgwick Noble Lowndes.

Mrs Celeste Dias,

Threadneedle
Celeste Dias joined Threadneedle in 2006 as Senior Product Development Manager. She became Head of Product Development in December 2006. Celeste is responsible for managing Threadneedle’s regulated product portfolio (retail and institutional) with a strong commercial focus and implementing a product strategy to further enhance the company’s reputation as an innovative asset manager. Prior to joining Threadneedle, Celeste was Investment Product Director for Barclays Wealth Management where she had specific responsibility for the non-UK affluent and high-net-worth business. Celeste led the launch of the Barclays Multi Manager fund range (AUMs in excess of £6bn as at 2006). She also worked at Citigroup Asset Management, firstly as a Product Manager for their Luxembourg and Dublin fund ranges and later as Product Development Manager for the EMEA region. Celeste holds an MA in Translation and Interpreting and a BA in European Languages both from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.

Andrew E. Fisch is Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, Fund of Funds at SSARIS Advisors, LLC. His responsibilities include manager selection, research, due diligence and monitoring. Mr. Fisch is a member of the Fund of Funds Investment Committee. Prior to joining SSARIS, he was a founding partner at Aurum Capital Management where he managed the Aurum Venture Fund (Venture Capital) and developed various hedge fund of funds products. From 1989 through 1996 he was the portfolio manager for Swiss asset manager Controlfida. While there he managed a $65 million long/short U.S. Equity Fund, enhanced with options and index futures. Five years preceding his efforts at Controlfida, he worked for Victor Sperandeo at Hugo Securities as a proprietary trader for the firm’s multi-strategy hedge fund. Mr. Fisch has served on several corporate boards, and frequently participates in the industry focused events on hedge funds and investing in Japan. He holds FINRA series 24 and 7 licenses. He studied Economics at Hobart College and was admitted to Honors in Economics in 1981.

Albourne Partners Limited was establish in 1994 and now has over 131 employees in 11 countries. Richard had spent the previous eleven years with UBS AG in Hong Kong and Singapore, in various senior positions managing equity proprietary tradings, convertible bonds and prime brokerage in the region. Prior to this, he was with Baring Securities in London and Tokyo, specialising in arbitrage trading and risk management. Richard graduated in Computer Science from Manchester University, UK in 1981 and was admitted as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1984.

Russ Koesterich is Head of Investment Strategy for BGI Active Equities. Russ joined BGI in 2005 as a Senior Portfolio Manager in the US Market Neutral Group. Prior to joining BGI, Russ managed several research groups focused on quantitative and top down strategy. Russ began his career at Instinet in New York, where he occupied several positions in research, including Director of Investment Strategy for both US and European research. In addition, Russ served as Chief North American Strategist for State Street Bank in Boston, where he also headed US and Canadian equity research. Russ holds a BA from Brandeis University, a JD from Boston College Law School, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and is a holder of the CFA designation. He is also a frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Associated Press, as well as CNBC and Bloomberg Television.

Aaron joined Lumen Advisors in August 2004 from PIMCO where he was a senior portfolio manager and Vice President in global markets and the emerging markets teams from end 2001 (end) to 2004 and was part of the team which won several Morningstar and Lipper investment awards for performance in Global markets and Emerging Bonds. Besides managing global portfolios at PIMCO, he had oversight of Asia investment strategies. Prior to PIMCO, he was Head of Fixed Income, Asia and senior portfolio manager for Dresdner RCM Global Investors from 1997 to 2001. He was also responsible for starting DRCM’s Asian operations which grew to $3bn in the regional office. From 1991 to 1997, Aaron was Vice Dean of Research in the NUS Business School, Singapore and was a lead consultant of IFER on capital markets and trading strategies for Citibank, Eriksson, Singapore Stock Exchange, SIMEX and several regional banks. Aaron was also named the “Most Astute Investor” by the Benchmark Survey in 2003-04 and was co-lead of the team that won the PIMCO cyclical forum investment strategy series from 2003-2004. He holds several positions in the CFA Institute including the Chair of the Asia-Pacific Advocacy Committee and the Global Capital Markets Policy Council. He sits on the board of directors in regional capital market associations and is on the board of editors of the Journal of Futures Markets. Aaron graduated with a PhD in Financial Economics from the Anderson School, UCLA, and an honors engineering degree from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

In 1997, Bruce assumed overall responsibility for Russell’s business development in Asia, and in 1999 became Managing Director of Russell’s newly established Singapore office. A veteran of the trading markets, Bruce spent nearly two decades in wide-ranging trading and risk management roles in the U.S., Japan and Hong Kong prior to joining Russell. With his extensive experience in the global capital markets, Bruce provides specific expertise in portfolio risk management and the trading markets for Russell clients. Dr. Herold Rohweder is a managing director and global Chief Investment Officer of RCM Systematic at Allianz Global Investors. He began his career as an equity and multi-asset portfolio manager at Allianz in 1989, and initiated the Quantitative Asset Management effort at Allianz Asset Management in 1998. RCM Systematic covers equity, structured equity, multi-asset & absolute return products. Herold Rohweder graduated from Wayne State University with a MA in Economics and received a post-graduate degree in Economics from the University of Kiel.

Kian Lee is a principal consultant in Mercer’s investment consulting business. Based in Singapore, he advises clients on a wide range of issues including investment strategy, manager selection, and performance/manager monitoring. He also contributes actively to Mercer’s manager research programme. Kian Lee has over 20 years of experience in the investment business, and has experience in asset management, manager search and organisation change consulting. He joined Mercer in 2006 following an 18 year career in fund management as a global fund manager in two different organizations. He spent 17 years with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, where he was an assistant director, and regional head of Europe Equities team managing multi-billion dollar portfolios. He also participated actively in the Asset Allocation Group meeting. Kian Lee has experience in the setting up of a boutique fund outfit as well as advising in the inception and growth of a mass affluence financial advisory company in Singapore. He graduated from National University of Singapore with a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1988.

Ramon was responsible for setting up and implementing the manager monitoring and selection process at Blue Sky Group. Prior to joining Blue Sky Group he worked at a private bank for 2 years where his main task was equity research and producing investment proposals. He holds a Masters Degree in Economics with a specialisation in international financial economics and investment theory. Ramon speaks quite frequently on international conferences regarding manager selection and monitoring. Currently he is heavily involved in researching and exploring extension strategies (130-30).
