Led by
This workshop will provide an overview of the transport infrastructure’s role for delivering new services, including video-on-demand, TV and telephony in modern service provider deployments.
The sessions will outline the typical service provider requirements for transport infrastructure and will describe the key technologies that enable them, including efficient broadcast video distribution in the network core, connection admission control and high availability. Throughout the sessions the participants will learn the basic principles of transport infrastructure design and implementation for fixed line and mobile service providers.
The workshop programme will also analyze the marketing and technical trends in the Russia/CIS market. Special attention is paid to the differences between Russian/CIS and world-wide broadband markets.
Target audience: The workshop is primarily targeted to senior technical directors, heads of operations and the development departments of service providers. Although technical enough, the session will be of interest to the heads of marketing departments in its references to existing transport infrastructure deployments and current industry trends.
