Benjamin Bowler is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Equity Linked Research for Merrill Lynch.
This global team is responsible for equity derivative product and strategy research, including assisting in structured product design and development. Prior to this, he was head of the Americas equity derivatives strategy group beginning in August 2001, after spending two years in Japan managing Merrill's Asia Pacific and Japanese equity derivatives strategy team. Before joining Merrill Lynch Japan, Benjamin was an equity derivatives analyst for Merrill Lynch in London. Ben received Bachelor of Science degrees in both mathematical physics and industrial engineering and management science from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in econometrics and mathematical economics from the London School of Economics.

Mr. Hasager holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Copenhagen. He presently occupies a position as executive vice president in Bankpension, where his main responsibilities are asset allocation, ALM, manager selection, risk control and financial reporting. He has been head of fixed income, LDPensions, and associate professor, Department of Finance, Copenhagen Business School. Prof. Hasager has a long standing interest in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and emerging markets in general. Among other activities he has been visiting Syktyvkar State University, Komi, Russia, Prague School of Economics and Charles University, Prague. Dr. Hasager also has a special interest in non standard and non normal approaches towards risk control. In recent years he has focused mainly on alternative asset classes. Mr. Hasager’s native tongue is Danish, he has proficiency in English and German, a good knowledge of Czech, some knowledge of Russian and he reads French.

Denis Jackson has been with Citigroup for 17 years. He is a managing director and head of Prime Finance sales in London, covering the European markets. Prior to that, he was based in New York where he led the fixed-income and foreign exchange prime brokerage initiatives. Denis also worked in Hong Kong, managing a team for the finance department. Over his tenure, Denis also worked in the treasury department, where he performed managerial activities for the New York and London offices. Denis has a BSc in Geophysics from the University of Edinburgh.

Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, he was Deputy General Director of the Swedish National Institute of Economic Research, and before that he spent 14 years at Sveriges Riksbank (The Swedish Central Bank) where he held various positions including as Deputy Director for the Economics Department. Hans earned a Ph.D. in economics from Stockholm University in 1994 in the field of international finance and financial macroeconomics.

Mr Jack Schwager, Investment Director, Fortune Group
Jack Schwager serves as Investment Director at the Fortune Group, an alternative asset management firm that is a member of the Close Brothers Group, a London-based investment bank founded in 1878. Schwager is the lead portfolio manager for Fortune’s Market Wizards Fund, a 100% transparent portfolio of managed accounts in alternative strategies. His prior experience includes 22 years as the director of futures research for some of Wall Street’s leading firms and 10 years as the co-principal of a commodity trading advisory firm.
Mr. Schwager is perhaps best known as the author of the best-selling Market Wizards (1989), and the equally popular The New Market Wizards (1992). A third volume in this series, Stock Market Wizards, published by HarperCollins, was released in early 2001. Mr. Schwager’s first book, A Complete Guide to the Futures Markets, which was published in 1984, is considered to be one of the classic reference works in the field. More than a decade later he revised and expanded this original work into the three-volume series, Schwager on Futures, consisting of the following titles: Fundamental Analysis (1995), Technical Analysis (1996), and Managed Trading: Myths and Truths (1996). He is also the author of Getting Started in Technical Analysis (1999), which is part of John Wiley’s popular “Getting Started” series.
Mr. Schwager is a frequent seminar speaker and has lectured on a range of analytical topics with particular focus on the characteristics of great traders, hedge fund investment, performance measurement, technical analysis, and trading system evaluation. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Brooklyn College and an M.A. in Economics from Brown University.

Peter C. Warren (51) began his career in the financial markets in 1980 trading commodities for Rudolf Wolff & Co. In 1981 he was appointed Secretary of the Oslo Stock Exchange. In 1982 he joined the research firm Vogt & Vogt Bourse Analysis in Norway as partner and Head of Research. The company was bought by Christiania Bank (now Nordea) in 1983. In 1987 Peter left the company and founded the Norwegian Equity Options Market. His company, Moorgate Options, was the first options market maker in Norway. At the same time he co-founded the Norwegian Clearinghouse for futures & options, and remains to this day one of their largest private share¬holders. Moorgate Options was acquired by Finance Bank of Norway in 1995 and Peter was first appointed Chief Dealer Derivatives and later Chief Dealer for all areas of the bank with particular responsibility for proprietary trading. In 2002 he left the bank and founded WarrenWicklund Asset Manage¬ment together with Bjorn Wicklund, a former partner in Moorgate Options. WarrenWicklund Asset Manage¬ment today manages two funds of hedge funds and several single manager funds. Firm AUM is US$1 billion. Peter is the portfolio manager of the firm’s global macro fund, Fourth Moment Macro. The fund has had an average annual return of 12.3% with a standard deviation of 6.71%. In 2006 his fund returned 16.90% net to investors.
