Objective
Terrapinn is pleased to announce that GVF – the global association of the satellite communications sector – will hold an exclusive Master Class as part of Satcom Africa 2007. Entitled “Satellite fundamentals and sustainable satellite solutions in Africa”, the GVF Masterclass has been specially tailored for professionals who need an overview of satellite communications and to understand key considerations in developing a sustainable application with satellite-based systems anywhere in Africa.
This course is ideally suited for African representatives of large, medium and small organisations that are engaged in or are thinking about becoming involved in any aspect of satellite communications. The course is offered for organisations that operate in developing or least developed nations, and the course examines most of the key areas, including market trends, technology, applications, regulation, finance, and the essential steps that need to be taken to enable sustainable provision of applications in the African context.
The content is not highly technical, with the primary focus covering the communications industry structure and where satellite fits. Be sure to pre-register for this important event, which will equip you and your colleagues with the information tools needed to successfully apply satellite-based solutions, whether they are Internet services, distance learning, corporate networks, VoIP, disaster recovery and aid, banking, retail, cyber cafes, tele-centres or a host of other applications. We look forward to seeing you in Sandton!
