About your masterclass presenter
Gerrie van Zyl Director: Roads PD Naidoo and Associates
Mr Van Zyl holds the position of Director: Roads Division at PD Naidoo & Associates since May 2003 and is responsible for the design and management of all road related projects of the Company. During his career Mr van Zyl has acquainted himself with all aspects of road planning, design, construction, maintenance and management and has specialised in the fields of road pavements and integrated road management systems. Apart from his detailed involvement in designs or control thereof he has managed several construction, maintenance and research projects per annum for the past ten years. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads as well as in the development and operation of road management systems. He is actively involved with academic institutions presenting courses and assisting several road authorities with strategic planning, policy issues and appropriate methodologies.
