Gordon Cooper, Regional Head of Mobile Payment, Visa Asia Pacific, first joined Visa Asia Pacific in 1998, working on various smart card initiatives across the region, with a particular focus on the Japan market. His early experience with Visa included time in the London-based headquarters for the CEMEA Region (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), where he oversaw a number of new technology initiatives in Africa and Eastern Europe.

Returning to Asia Pacific in 2002, Cooper was responsible for managing Visa's smart card migration project in Japan and also launched Visa's first commercial contactless payment card program, Visa Wave, in Malaysia.

In 2004, Cooper moved to Ho Chi Minh City to establish Visa's representative office for Vietnam, serving as country manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. He subsequently oversaw Visa's operations in Singapore and Brunei before assuming his current post as Regional Head of Mobile Payment in Visa Asia Pacific. In his current role, Cooper has overall responsibility for Visa payment and value-added services across mobile consumer devices.

Jeroen is responsible for NXP’s Automotive and Identification business in the Asia Pacific region, with focus on developing, implementing and executing on customer/market value propositions.

A 16-year Philips veteran, Jeroen joined the company in 1990 as a product manager for new business development in the areas of power management ICs and in-car networking in the Netherlands. He moved to Asia in 1994, leading the consumer microcontroller product market group in Taiwan and developing products for TVs, remote controls, VCD players and computer monitors.

Jeroen moved to Houston, Texas in 1998 to perform the role of Global Account Manager for Compaq and Dell. He relocated to Singapore in 2000 as General Manager for Consumer and Multimedia products at NXP, where he was responsible for sales to customers in the non-display home entertainment area.

Prior to this current role Jeroen had the overall responsibility within NXP for the marketing and sales efforts to the customer Royal Philips Electronics.

Jeroen attended the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and holds a Master's Degree in Control Engineering.

Michael Mullagh is the Chief Executive Officer of ViVOtech, Inc. Mr. Mullagh is an experienced wireless industry leader who has served as the head of two wireless carriers (Rogers Wireless and BC Tel, now Telus Corporation) and two growth stage start ups (Telephia and Whisper Communications). With 18 years of executive-level experience Mullagh has a successful track record of building and managing fast-growth businesses. Mr Prakasam has degrees in Science (Statistics) and Engineering (Electrical). He was with the Singapore Airlines for 10 years, working in various departments involved in technical support and development work, before joining the Mass Rapid Transit Corporation in 1983. There, he was involved in the building of the first rapid transit system for Singapore.

Since 1989, he has been involved in ticketing systems and several initiatives, notably the Integrated Ticketing System.

Since 1994, he spearheaded trials on the Contactless Smart Card and launched the Enhanced Integrated Fare System project for the public transport system in 1998. Mr Prakasam is the Project Director for this project which implemented a common smart card system across the public transport network with six million cards issued to date.

Currently, he is involved in enhancing the system to extend its use to non-transit applications, as well as the acceptance of a wider number of cards.
