Crédit Agricole Structured Asset Management (CASAM) is the specialised subsidiary representing Crédit Agricole Group’s expertise in structured asset management and is organised into three main business lines; structured investment products, alternative managed accounts platform and exchange-traded funds (ETF).

CASAM is committed to providing innovative structured solutions using the most appropriate underlying instrument, pay-off formula, wrapper and performance objective within the client’s regulatory environment and overall investment strategy.

Its managed account platform, remarkable for its high level of transparency, risk control and liquidity, offers access to selected quality hedge fund strategies whilst complying with clients’ investment contraints.

CASAM’s investment solutions are available to investors in over 60 countries through the global sales networks of Calyon Corporate & Investment Bank and Crédit Agricole Asset Management.

CASAM currently manages over 430 funds representing a total of €33 billion in assets and holds leading positions in Japan and France.

MSS runs the largest independent managed account platform, HIP (Hedge Fund Investment Platform), for Institutional investing in single manager hedge funds. HIP offers safety, transparency and full risk monitoring via a proprietary risk management system, GARAS, and provides guaranteed capacity and liquidity.

MSS is also the investment advisor to the FTSEhx Fund SPC, an Irish Stock Exchange listed and Cayman Island domiciled fund of hedge funds which runs on HIP. The daily Net Asset Values of FTSEhx create the values of the FTSE Hedge Index series. To qualify for inclusion in the index, hedge funds must meet the criteria set out in the FTSE Hedge ground rules, a process governed by an independent committee. Due diligence on the hedge funds is carried out by Harcourt AG on all the constituent hedge fund managers, both before inclusion and then continuously thereafter. At present there are 40 constituent hedge funds in the FTSE Hedge Index. The FTSEhx Fund SPC has 12 listed share classes: the global index, 3 management style share classes and 8 strategy share classes, all of which are investible and have monthly liquidity. The indicative FTSEhx NAV’s of all 12 share classes, and the corresponding indicative FTSE Hedge Index values, are calculated and published on Bloomberg daily.
