Ms Robyn Gallagher, Spatial Data Manager, Department of Environment and Water Resources
Robyn Gallagher began using spatial data when supporting remote sensing and image processing at CRA Exploration (now Rio Tinto) during the late 1980s. Following that she worked as a GIS consultant for the Australian Geological Survey Organisation (now Geoscience Australia), state mines departments, mining companies and other federal government agencies. During that time she advised on GIS database design, wrote desktop spatial applications, developed analysis procedures, and was a GIS instructor.
More recently Robyn has managed spatial systems and data at the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Water. As well as supporting desktop GIS and the software which manages corporate data, she was responsible for the data itself and its metadata. Now she leads the team which provides Geospatial Applications and Data Support at Geoscience Australia, liaising with database administrators, web specialists and agency GIS users.

Mr Alan Noble, Engineering Site Director, Google Australia & New Zealand
Alan manages Google's R&D centre in Sydney. The centre, which launched in May 2005, contributes to the development of Google products and services in Australia and around the world, including the popular Google Maps.
Noble joins Google from NetPriva, a software company he co-founded and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer for nearly two years. In 1996 he founded NetMind in California which was acquired in 2000 by Intellisync, subsequently acquired by Nokia. He remained at Intellisync as VP of Engineering until 2002, until joining Foursticks as CTO, where he was instrumental in bringing Foursticks technology to market. The Foursticks technology was acquired by NetPriva in 2005.
Alan has been granted seven U.S. patents and has several others pending.
