Mr José María Amusátegui, Founding Partner, President, Cygnus Asset Management SGIIC
José María Amusategui worked during 14 years for UBS. Initially based in London, he was involved in M&A deals; IPO’s; Equity derivatives structures while at Corporate Finance. During his years in WM he created a Corporate Finance capacity and the Key Clients Group for large private clients in Spain. José María began his professional career in 1986 working for the consulting division of Arthur Andersen (now Accenture), gaining experience on information systems and strategic management consulting. Later in 1988 he worked for Advent a venture capital firm, generating deal flow, doing financial analysis and due diligence. In April 2006 he established alongside Isabel Serra Dosrobles Capital dedicated to alternative investments. In October 2006 Dosrobles Capital and Zisne Capital created Algebra Partners SGIIC S.A. one of the first few independent regulated asset management companies with authorisation to manage hedge funds in Spain.

Rafael has a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance and Investment Portfolio from London Business School, a Diploma in Business and Management from Oxford Brookes University and a First Class Bachelor and Master of Arts with honours from University of Madrid's Faculty of Law.

Amar Sil, Managing Director & Co-Portfolio Manager, Focus Investment Group
Mr. Sil is a Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager of multi-strategy portfolios in Focus Investment Group and is responsible for manager selection, portfolio construction and risk management. He is a member of the Asset Management and the Investment Committees. Prior to joining Focus, he was a Director and Senior Risk Manager for Mortgages and Fixed Income Derivatives at Solomon Smith Barney. Prior to that he was a Senior Consultant at Capital Market Risk Advisors, and before that, he managed the Short Term Opportunity Fund, an Equity/Futures Long/Short hedge fund for 2 years as a Principal/Portfolio Manager under ADKAP, LLC. Mr. Sil traded interest rate and mortgage derivatives for 5 years for Nomura Securities’ swaps desk and has a Ph.D from Columbia University.

Monica Vidal is Managing Partner of Nmás1 Gestión Alternativa, a division of Nmás1 group specialized in building hedge funds portfolios. Prior to this, Ms Vidal was founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Value Management (UK) LLP an FSA Investment Company specialized in alternative investment products. Ms. Vidal has been managing money for several family offices since June 1996, through a vehicle named Gestinvest. She has direct investment experience in all major international equity, fixed income and convertible bond markets and direct investment experience into hedge funds. From June 1995 to June 1996 she worked at Banque du Louvre in Paris and before that she managed proprietary portfolios in emerging markets for Banesto. She started her career at Banco Santander as an analyst in the emerging markets group. Ms Vidal passed the Securities and Financial Authorities Regulatory and Markets exam in September 2002. She followed the investment management program at the London Business School in 2003 and graduated In Economics in 1992 from CUNEF, Madrid.
