Ranajit Banerjee is a Deputy General Manager in the Global Project Finance Group of ICICI Bank. He has over 14 years’ professional experience of which 11 have been on Infrastructure Sector. At ICICI Bank he is responsible for several deals in the Oil & Gas/Energy space. He is currently involved in financing of a 14 MTPA refinery expansion project, financing of a US$ 6 bn major upstream gas and oil development, and financing of a large oil tankage facility in Singapore. He is also appraising an LNG terminal project in South India.

Prior to joining ICICI Bank Ranajit was with PwC as an Associate Director in their infrastructure practice. He has been involved in major Oil & Gas, Power and Industrial Infrastructure related mandates. In the Oil & Gas sector he directed teams that appraised a major upstream gas field development and downstream cross country gas pipeline project, prepared detailed business plans for gas transmission and distribution companies in India, negotiated joint venture agreements with international oil companies proposing investments in refining and marketing companies, and carried out several valuations of upstream oil and gas assets. He has carried out detailed due diligence of LNG terminal cum power project in the West Coast on behalf of an international investor.

In the power sector he has carried out detailed appraisals, valuations and due diligence of major Independent Power Projects (coal, gas and wind powered) on behalf of major domestic and international investors. He also directed a lead financial advisory team for the winning consortium for a 17 mtpa coal mining project in India. Ranajit has also advised several state governments on infrastructure policy and bidding on PPP projects. Ranajit is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelors degree in Economics from Presidency College.

Prior to joining Damac, he managed portfolios for high net-worth clients based in the Gulf countries. These portfolios had exposure to multiple asset classes, including private equity, real estate and the secondary market (both in the United States and India). Mr Jegannathan began his career in the audit field and spent eleven years in various positions with institutions in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and India. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Madras in India and is a Chartered Accountant (India).

Mr. Vajpeyi has worked closely with regulators to introduce and implement best practices in the Mutual Fund industry and has held responsible positions as Member of the Securities Markets Infrastructure Leveraging Expert Task Force, at Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), as well as Director on the Board of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).
Mr. Vajpeyi is a graduate from London School of Economics (LSE) with a B.Sc. (Econ) degree in International Trade and Development and an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales.

Nicolas Vix heads Calyon’s Project and Structured Finance team for Asia.

This team comprises professionals based in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo. It is in charge of advisory, arranging and lending businesses for greenfield projects, business expansion, acquisitions and restructuring in the sectors of power and energy, natural resources, infrastructure and general industry. Calyon is one of the major players in global as well as Asian project finance.

Nicolas Vix started his career with the bank’s office in Beijing in 1988, and has held various posts with Calyon in Paris, Singapore, China and Hong Kong.

Over the years, he has played leading roles in the financing of more than 50 projects in various sectors.

Nicolas Vix holds master degrees in both engineering and finance. He speaks French, English and Chinese.

With a career in finance spanning more than 22 years, Mr. Sunil Wadhwa has been working with the Tata Group since 1986. He is presently a nominee of Tata Power Company Limited, as Executive Director on the Board of North Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) and looks after the finance, legal, taxation, regulatory and corporate affairs and drives the Company’s strategy. His versatile experience in the field of Finance, Legal, Taxation and Corporate Affairs has helped in the Company’s transformation
Mr. Wadhwa started his career with Hitech Drilling, a joint venture of Tata Group and Schumberger of France in the Oil and Gas drilling business. He was also instrumental in setting up Tata Petrodyne Limited, the oil exploration business of the Tata Group. In the oil and gas business, he was involved in matters such as foreign collaborations,joint ventures in India and abroad, cross border leases, contract negotiations, foreign tax issues, complex financial restructuring, policy advocacy, capital raising acquisitions and divestments. His astassignment was with Tata Chemicals,where he was holding a dual charge as CFO and Company Secretary till 2002.
He is an alumni of The Mother’s International School, Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi and a commerce graduate from Sri Ram College of Commerce. A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary by professional qualification, he has been a rank holder throughout at national level.
