The concept
Governments across Asia have started implementing green energy policies to reinforce the viability of the industry amidst energy security concerns due to continuing high oil prices and climate change regulations. Not surprisingly, many industries including the transportation sector, utility providers and traditional oil refineries are exploring the viability of integrating more biofuels blends into the mix. To satisfy the influx of demand, biofuels refineries are now searching for economically viable feedstocks and technology advancements to maximise production. At the same time, plantation owners are evolving to become biofuels producers. Asia is at the ground floor of this process but is anticipated to be the biofuels HQ for the world due to our ideal growing climate and agricultural based economies.
