|
Matthew Annenberg, Global Head of FX Analytics & Risk Advisory Group, ABN AMRO
Matthew is the global head of the ABN AMRO FX Analytics and Risk Advisory group. He works with financial institutions and corporations to provide analysis and solutions on a wide range of currency-related issues, with particular emphasis on the development of Currency as an Asset Class. He is the Co-manager of FXMM, ABN's innovative FX multi-manager Product, with total assets of $200 million. Based in New York, Matthew has been involved in foreign exchange for 20 years, on both the buy and sell-sides of the market. He is also responsible for ABN AMRO's cross-product advisory group in North America.
Prior to joining ABN, Matthew was a portfolio manager in charge of currency overlay at Citigroup Asset Management in London. He was also the deputy head of the capital hedging group at Citigroup, and ran the forward FX trading desk in New York. Matthew began his career in 1987 on the FX trading desk at Chemical Bank, after graduating cum laude from Harvard College.

Kevin Ashby, Saxo Capital Markets
Kevin Ashby joined Saxo Capital Markets (a wholly owned subsidiary of Saxo Bank) in September 2006. As Chairman and CEO he is responsible for the operations and development of Saxo’s business in the ASIA Pacific region.
Prior to Saxo Bank Kevin was (since summer 2002) CEO of Patsystems PLC, a recognized leader in the provision of trading solutions to the global futures industry. Kevin was also Chairman of Anvil Software a provider of trading solutions to the fixed income markets, which was sold to Ion Trading just before Kevin’s move to Saxo.
The early part of Kevin’s career was spent in the IT industry in a variety of market facing roles. In 1987 he left IBM, where he was responsible for business development in the emerging field of electronic banking, to establish his own consultancy which advised retail banks on the development of e-commerce strategies.
In 1991 he rejoined the industry as CIO of a global distribution business and in 1994 became IT Partner for KPMG UK, where he also helped shape the company’s global IT capabilities. In 1997 he became CEO of an e-commerce company that by merger and acquisition became WISe, an industry owned e-commerce utility. In 2001 WISe’s owners decided to sell the business which Kevin completed in 2002.

Michael Bass, Global Head of FX & Rates, Standard Chartered Bank
Mike Bass is Global Head, Rates and FX, with responsibility across sales, structuring and trading for FX (spot, forward and NDF), FX Options and Interest Rate Derivatives.
A member of the board of ISDA (the International Swaps and Derivatives Association), he joined Standard Chartered in 2001, from HVB, in the role of Global Head of Interest Rate Derivatives. Mike has been based in Singapore since 1996, having previously been employed in derivatives trading by Nomura in London and Hong Kong.
Mike graduated in 1989 from Trinity College, Cambridge, with an M.A in Economics. He is married with two children.

David Bensimon, Managing Director, Polar Pacific
David Bensimon is the principal of Polar Pacific Pty Ltd -- an Australian Securities and Investments Commission licensed advisory firm. Mr. Bensimon has extensive experience trading on an interbank, exchange-floor, and proprietary basis across foreign exchange, interest rate, commodity, and equity markets. His decade working in North American and European capitals included positions as Chief Dealer, Head of Trading, and Chief of Staff for the premier American, French, British, and German banks. Mr. Bensimon also spent a year trading as a Local on the Singapore Futures Exchange before moving to Australia to launch his consulting business. The company publishes in-depth analyses and forecasts in reports to institutional clients and professional investors. The Special Edition of Mr. Bensimon's book, Polar Perspectives -- Large-Scale Waves & Cycles: Implications for 2006-2016 & Beyond was recently published and has already been nominated for two international design awards.

Christopher Brandon, Managing Director, Rhicon Currency Management
Mr Brandon worked at Swiss Bank Corporation in Geneva and London from 1995 as a foreign exchange trader. He relocated to UBS Warburg Singapore in late 1998 as a proprietary trader and senior technical analyst in Asia. He resigned in mid 2000 to developing a proprietary trading methodology and co-founded Rhicon Currency Management that year in Singapore. The firm has subsequently added a trading presence in Geneva and London and currently manages approximately 220mio USD in two strategies - a discretionary one and a systematic one, both investible via fund structures, managed accounts and third party platforms. He holds an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.

David Clark, Honorary President, The Financial Market Association (ACI)
David Clark has spent 36 years working in currency and capital markets for Bankers Trust, Commerzbank, HSBC and Bankgesellschaft before moving into non-executive director and advisory positions. He is Chairman of Charity Bank, a non-executive director of CafBank and a non-executive director of Collins Stewart Tullett. He was a senior advisor to the UK’s Financial Services Authority and has sat on a number of Basel II working groups. He was President of ACI, The Financial Markets Association from 1992-95 and is an Honorary President of both ACI and ACI UK. He is also an International Advisor to Parson Consulting.

Raphael Cohen, Director, Orbani Fund
Raphael Cohen, after 14 years of experience working with leading currency traders globally, was able to develop models and theories relating to the different patterns in the FOREX market. After gaining expertise in setting up and managing dealing rooms for years, overlooking back office related aspects, and managing and developing techniques in currency portfolio theories, Mr. Cohen decided to devote his skills to his own dealing room, Matach 24. Mr. Cohen currently manages a FOREX fund.
In 1990, Mr. Cohen worked with the BearSterns Investment Bank in New York, managing their dealers group for three years. In 1994, Mr. Cohen ran the international foreign currency dealing room for the Eurotrade Bank, acting as a member of the board of management. In 2000, Mr. Cohen was an adviser of the broker firm of Moritz & Tochler, and simultaneously founded Matach24 Ltd., a FOREX dealing room that trades hundreds millions USD daily. Mr. Cohen, an expert in complex foreign currency strategies, is the company CEO and guest lecturer in different colleges.
Mr. Cohen graduated with distinction (MBA) from the Northeastern University, Boston, majoring in finance.

Adam Cole, RBC Capital Market
Adam Cole is Director and Senior Currency Strategist at RBC Capital Markets in London, where he worked for three years. Prior to working at RBC, Adam was a senior currency strategist at CALYON (London). Adam had previously worked as a senior global economist at HSBC (London) and an economist in the U.K. Department of Trade and Industry. Adam has a Master of Arts (Econometrics) from the University of Essex and a Bachelor of Science (Economics & Statistics) from the University of Plymouth.

Collin Crownover, Global Head of Currency Management, State Street Global Advisors
Collin is Head of Currency Management for SSgA globally. He joined SSgA in 2006 and has more than ten years of experience with sell-side and buy-side firms in developing innovative currency research. He joins SSgA from Citigroup in New York and London, where he served as global head of the Investor Risk Advisory team. Prior to Citigroup, he held titles of currency analyst, portfolio manager and head of quantitative currency research for Putnam Investments, and research officer and analyst for Barclays Global Investors. Collin holds a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Graceland University.

Mark Cutis, Chief Investment Officer, Shinsei Bank, Limited
Mark Cutis joined Shinsei Bank in May 2004 in the newly created position of Chief Investment Officer. His career background has been in trading, investments and treasury activities. He was formerly with HVB, the Munich- headquartered German Bank, originally hired in their New York Branch as Treasurer for the Americas where he was also responsible for developing and directing HVB’s proprietary allocation to Alternative Investments. Subsequently, he moved to Tokyo as the CEO of their Japanese operations.
Prior to joining HVB, Mr. Cutis worked in New York, London and Frankfurt with various organizations. These include a 10 year stint with Merrill Lynch in London and New York as well as being the Treasurer of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. He began his career with Bank of America at their New York Corporate Service Office as an account officer.
Mr. Cutis holds an MBA from the Wharton School as well as a BA in Economics from Emory University where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He speaks French and Greek and has a working knowledge of German. He is currently studying Japanese and Spanish.

Andrew Dales, Group Head of Currency Management, AXA Investment Managers
Andrew joined AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) in April 2006 to create an active currency capability within the Fixed Income team. He currently leads the team responsible for creating active currency return forecasts and managing active currency portfolios.
Prior to joining AXA IM, Andrew worked in currency research and strategy at Barclays Global Investors (1996-2006).

Kirby Daley, Head of Sales & Capital Introductions, Fimat Alternative Investment Solutions
As Head of Sales & Capital Introduction for Fimat Alternative Investment Solutions – Asia, Kirby Daley services hedge fund investors and managers all over the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging the resources of Fimat’s full prime brokerage group.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Kirby started his career as a trader for the Special Commodities Division of the Pillsbury Company in the early 1990's. He made a move to Japan in 1993, where his career included broking Japanese commodity futures to international institutions and dealing foreign exchange, before joining Fimat in 2001. At Fimat, Kirby worked initially as a Japan Strategist, but added the Hedge Fund Sales and Capital Introduction roles in late 2002, and currently handles all of these out of Fimat’s office in Hong Kong.
Kirby is featured prominently in the media for his views on the Japanese economy, markets and politics, with a nearly 4-year running, regular Monday morning weekly spot on CNBC Asia (Asia Squawk Box) and frequent appearances on the BBC, CNN/Reuters and Bloomberg TV.

Monica Fan, managing director, is the global head of currency strategy at the RBC Capital Markets and is based in London. Previously, Monica was a principal G10 interest rate and currency strategist at the Bank of America and an economic adviser at the Australian Treasury.

Marc Field, Head of Institutional Sales, Saxo Capital Markets, Singapore
Marc Field started work in the FX & Futures Markets in the early nineties gaining exposure to the electronic platforms of the LIFFE market. After moving to Bloomberg he covered the Emerging Markets and the Netherlands before moving with them to Sydney in 2000. In 2002 he joined GFI working for the Fenics Operation in Singapore and then helping to set up the broking operation for GFI where he was a director. Marc joined Saxo Bank in March 2006 and moved to Saxo Capital Markets in July 2006 where he set-up the multi product Institutional Sales operation in Asia Pacific targeting Institutional Clients, White Label Partners, B2B & Introducing Brokers.

Arne Hassel, Managing Director, Millenium Asset Management
Arne is Managing Director in charge of Fund of Hedge Funds and Global Tactical Asset Allocation (GTAA). Arne spent seven years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was Managing Director and Head of Global Currency Management, before becoming Head of The Hedge Fund Strategies Group in London. He was also a member of the GSAM International Asset Allocation Committee. He subsequently joined Coronation Fund Managers as CIO of Fund of Hedge Funds. Arne started his career at SEB where he was responsible for European Fixed Income and Currency Management. More recently he founded and was CIO of Corylus Capital, a quantitative global macro hedge fund programme, which was integrated into Millennium. Arne received a MSc in Economics from The Stockholm School of Economics and a BA (equivalent) in Political Science and a MSc (equivalent) in Biotechnology from Uppsala University. He is Swedish and is married with one child.

Callum Henderson, Global Head of FX Strategy, Standard Chartered Bank
Callum Henderson is the Global Head of FX Strategy for Standard Chartered Bank, based in Singapore. Before joining SCB in 2004, he was the Head of Emerging Market Research for Bank of America and a Senior Emerging Market FX Strategist for Citigroup, both based in London.
Mr. Henderson has been working in the FX markets for the past 15 years and is the author of four books on FX and Asia including Asia Falling: Making Sense of the Asian Currency Crisis and its Aftermath, China on the Brink: The Myths and Realities of the World’s Largest Market, Asian Dawn: Reform, Restructuring and Investing in the New Asia and Currency Strategy: The Practitioners Guide to Currency Investing, Hedging and Forecasting.
Mr. Henderson gained a BA Honours in Politics, Economics and French from Sunderland Polytechnic, a Diplome D’Etudes Francaises from L’Universite de Tours and an MA in Middle East Politics and Economics from the University of Exeter.

Michael Huttman, Chief Investment Officer, Millennium Asset Management Ltd
Former executive director and chief portfolio manager with overall responsibility for currency products and strategies in Goldman Sachs’ asset management division. He also headed the International Asset Allocation Committee. Michael was hired by Goldman to help start up the international asset management office in London. When he left (August 1994), he had discretion to manage over US$ 3 billion.
Before he joined Goldman Sachs, late in 1990, he spent over seven years with J.P. Morgan in New York, London and Zurich, where he managed global fixed income portfolios and specialized in currency overlay programmes and active currency management.
From 1980 to 2001, Michael was involved with the activities of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
Michael graduated from the University of Geneva with an MA in Economics (Sc. Com.) and gained a certificate from the London Business School in Investment Management.
He has been registered with the FSA and CFTC for numerous years.

Tetsuya Inoue, Director General - Financial Markets Department, Bank of Japan
Mr. Inoue graduated from the University of Tokyo with a B.A. in Economics and joined the Bank of Japan in 1985. Early in his career, he was seconded to the Industrial Policy Bureau of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) where he was involved in enhancing functions of financial markets for “start-up” business. Then, he worked in the Bank’s International Department where he mainly dealt with coordination of contingent finance to heavily-indebted economies. After several years of service, he studied in Graduate School of Yale University in the U.S. where he was honored M.A. in Economics in 1992. Having returned to the Bank, he was assigned to Banking Division of Banking Department (now Financial Markets Department) where he conducted oversights of overseas activities of Japanese banks. From 1994 to 1996, he served as secretary to Mr. Toshihiko Fukui when Mr. Fukui was Deputy Governor. In 1996, he was assigned to Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies. During his carrier at the Institute, he was responsible for the research project on economic impacts of IT-Revolution, and contributed to the overall revision of “Purpose and Function of the Bank of Japan”. From 2000 to 2003, he served as staff to Mr. Kazuo Ueda, Member of the Policy Board. Since 2003, he works for Financial Markets Department. In the earlier year, he worked for improving functioning of Japan’s capital markets. From 2004 to 2006, he was the head of Foreign Exchange Operations Division. In June 2006, he became Deputy Director-General of Financial Markets Department. At the current position, he plays a role in management of the BIS Markets Committee with focus on FX markets and international capital flow.

Gabriel de Kock, Chief Currency Economist, Citigroup Global Markers
Gabriel de Kock is a Director and the Currency Economist in Citi’s Economic and Market Analysis department. In this role, he is responsible for the analysis of economic trends relevant to foreign exchange markets and for the firm’s exchange-rate forecasts. Prior to his current appointment in October 2006, he was a Senior International Economist at the firm, contributing to the formation and dissemination of the firm’s views on international economic trends. For several years he was the editor and lead author of EMA’s weekly flagship publication, International Market Roundup.
Before joining Citigroup in July 1999, Gabriel worked at KPMG’s Economic Consulting Services, Warburg Dillon Read, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. At Warburg Dillon Read, his responsibilities included the analysis of global economic trends, the formulation of foreign exchange strategy and coverage of the Canadian economy. At the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, he had primary responsibility for analyzing economic developments in Western Europe, with special emphasis on Germany. He also published longer-term research on U.S. monetary policy and exchange rate regimes.
A South African national, Gabriel earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Stellenbosch.

Anand Krishnamurthy, Co-Head of Global Markets, HSBC
HSBC, India has been one of the most respected market makers and liquidity providers in the foreign exchange and interest rate markets for the last 15 years and more. Anand’s career (spanning 15 years) with HSBC has been spent in Global Markets areas of foreign exchange and interest rate risk management. He is an engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and joined HSBC in 1992 after an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. His experience in markets began with a 5-year stint focusing on sales of FX products. Thereafter, he has spent time on managing proprietary risks - structuring, trading and balance sheet management for HSBC, India. He is currently Co-Head of Global Markets in which role he jointly oversees HSBC’s markets business in India.
Apart from managing the Global Markets operation for HSBC, Anand is a very active contributor to the further development of the Indian market. He has been a part of the growth of the Indian foreign exchange and interest rate markets from inception in the post-liberalization era and was present in the core group of market participants who first formulated the conventions and standardized benchmarks that are in use today in the Indian OTC swaps market. He is also currently a director on the board of Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India (FIMMDA), in which role he takes an active part in furthering market development by coordinating the views of the market-making community of banks and institutions and participating in active dialogue with the central bank.

Jan Lambregts, Head of Asia Pacific Research, Rabo Bank
Mr Lambregts joined Rabobank Asia in 2001 as Head Of Research, Asia. Mr Lambregts is responsible for keeping track of major developments in the Asian region, with a particular focus on Japan and China. He writes various daily, monthly and quarterly economic research publications for internal and external customers. In addition, he provides support to sales, trading, structuring and management with his comments and analysis on market events. He provides internal and external presentations and does client visits. He also helps to heighten the bank’s profile through regular media appearances. Mr. Lambregts is a cum laude graduate of Tilburg University in the Netherlands and holds a Master’s degree in micro/macro economics, with further specializations in finance and international trade. His Master’s thesis focused on price dispersion and price discrimination strategies in online markets. Prior to his postings in Singapore and Hong Kong, Mr. Lambregts worked at Rabobank HQ in Utrecht, covering the US, Japan and UK in the macro economic team of the Economic Research department.

Seppo Leskinen, Global Head of Hedge Fund Services, SEB Merchant Banking
Mr Leskinen is currently Head of the Hedge Fund Services unit in SEB’s Global Foreign Exchange based in London. His main focus is currently on Managed Account (FX MAP) product, various Online Solution in Foreign Exchange and Prime Brokerage.
Previously Seppo was running SEB’s Foreign Exchange desk in London in both trading and sales. The desk has become a recognised player in foreign exchange for Hedge funds, Fund Managers, Central Banks and Corporates.
Before SEB, Seppo worked for Refco London setting up an e-commerce strategy for exchange traded futures, equities and foreign exchange in Europe. Prior to joining Refco, Seppo started his career at Finnish Postipankki having responsibilities in Fixed Income Trading and Asset and Liability Management.

Glenn Maguire, Chief Economist - Asia Pacific, Societe Generale
Glenn Maguire is the Asia Pacific Chief Economist for Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking based in Hong Kong. Having joined the bank in 1996, Glenn has principal carriage for regional economic research. Glenn is a member of the Global Capital Markets Economics Team that produces a number of highly regarded economic and cross asset publications. Additionally, Glenn also produces a suite of economic products specific to the Asian Market.
Glenn has over 15 years of applied economic forecasting experience in demanding public and private sector roles. Previous to joining Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, Glenn was an economic adviser in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet in Canberra, Australia. Working with the Reserve Bank and Federal Treasury (the Joint Economic Forecasting Group) he helped to formulate the Government’s official forecasts for the Australian economy and provided in depth economic analysis for the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
Prior to this, Glenn worked as a research Assistant to Professor Bary Hughes at the University of Newcastle in Australia. Dr Hughes is widely regarded as one of Australia's leading macro-economists.

Michael Malakeelis, Head of Investment Process, Tactical Global Management (TGM)
TGM is a specialist currency, global macro and GTAA manager with 10 years experience. TGM manages over US$1bn (normalized to a 10% volatility target) for clients around the world including some of the largest pension funds, banks and insurance companies. Michael is responsible for ongoing enhancements to TGM’s investment process and the development of new products.

Asoka has overall responsibility for FXall's operations in Asia, working closely with the Singapore and Tokyo offices to drive sales and distribution across the region. Asoka joined FXall from Reuters Asia, where he worked for 14 years in a variety of sales, marketing, and product management roles, most recently as Business Manager & Head of Sales for Reuters Transactions, Sale & Trading Division, Asia. In this role, he was responsible for managing and growing the Reuters Electronic Trading (RET) business in Asia and in leading the successful sale and implementation of a multi-bank portal at CFETS in China. Prior to this, he was posted to Mumbai, India as the Reuters Marketing Manager for South Asia with responsibility for business development, product and data management, public relations and marketing support for the region. Before joining Reuters, Asoka worked briefly for Citibank and Andersen Consulting. Whilst at Andersen's he was posted to Indonesia for an extended period of time with responsibility for design and development of banking solutions for the retail segment. Asoka completed his post-graduate studies (MSc) at the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) on the back of a Raffles scholarship from the British Council in 1991. He did his undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore where he achieved Honours in Economics in 1988.

David Mozina joined Lehman Brothers in 2005 and currently heads up the New York Foreign Exchange Research team. Mr Mozina oversees the G10 trading portfolio. Mr. Mozina holds a Master of Commerce degree with honors, in econometrics, from the University of Melbourne, Australia. His main area of interest is in macroeconometrics.

Claudio Piron, Head of Asian Currency Research, JPMorgan Chase Bank
Claudio Piron joined JPMorgan in Singapore as Head of Asia FX Research in 2004. He is a regular contributor to JPMorgan’s flagship research publications including Global Markets Outlook and Strategy and is the author of “China revaluation – positioning for the end game” and “Asia Central Banks: More Drift than Shift”. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Claudio was Head of FX Strategy at Standard Chartered Bank, based in Singapore. Before joining Standard Chartered in London in 1997, he worked as an economist with independent research house 4CAST. Claudio graduated with a Masters in Economics from Boston College in 1995 and holds a BA in Economics, Politics and German.

Mike Rasmussen, Partner, Capricorn Asset Management
An accomplished professional with 8 years experience in operations and marketing, is skilled in business development and implementing procedures to maintain an efficient operational process. A graduate from the University of Greenwich in London, Mr. Rasmussen holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies with a major in Business Economics. Robert is Westpac Institutional Bank’s chief currency strategist and is responsible for a global team delivering tactical currency research with the particular focus of adding value to our clients trading decisions. Mr. Seiver is Chief Investment Officer for AIG Companies in Japan and Korea with responsibility for the asset allocation and overall performance of AIG's insurance-related investment assets in Japan and Korea. Total assets are approximately $80 billion covering a variety of asset classes including traditional and non-traditional asset classes and hedged, partially hedged and unhedged currency positions. Mr. Seiver joined AIG in 1985 and prior to moving to Japan, he covered AIG's insurance investments in Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean and the Mid East. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Seiver was an Associate at Morgan Stanley in New York and prior to that he was an Associate in the business strategy practice of McKinsey & Company in Europe. Mr. Seiver has a B.A. from Yale College and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He spent 1977 to 1979 as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Stockholm, Sweden studying international economics.

Ben Simpfendorfer is a strategist for Royal Bank of Scotland, Hong Kong. He has responsibility for the Emerging Asia region covering fx, rates, and economics. He joined the bank in late 2005. Prior to this, Ben worked at JPMorgan Chase, Hong Kong, as Senior China economist between 2001 and 2005. He has a Masters Degree from London University and an Undergraduate Degree from Melbourne University. Ben speaks and reads Arabic and Chinese.

John Stuermer is responsible for sovereign research on Asia at Bear Stearns & Co., where he is based in Singapore. Previously, he was based with Bear Stearns in London from 1997 to 2002. Dr. Stuermer’s responsibilities include analysis of financial market trends, financial institutions, and quasi-sovereign corporates. Prior to joining Bear Stearns in April 1997, Dr. Stuermer was a senior analyst in the Sovereign Risk Management Department at the First National Bank of Chicago, where he was responsible for Asia, Eastern Europe, and some countries in Latin America. Prior to joining First Chicago in late 1980, Dr Stuermer conducted research for his thesis on the Chinese economy under a Fulbright Fellowship in Tokyo and Taipei in 1979 and 1980, before receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in September 1980.

He also served on the Board of UBS Investment Bank, and was President of ACI, the Financial Markets Association, Switzerland. In his ten years at UBS, Martin has, amongst many accomplishments, managed the development and growth of currency investment products aimed at institutions and high net worth individuals, growing FX as an asset class for an entirely new segment of clients. He has over 25 years of experience in the FX market, including prior positions at Citigroup and Dresdner Bank, in many locations around the world.

Ka-Hay is Chief Investment Officer in charge of macro-economic strategy at PMA Investment Advisors Ltd., a Hong Kong-based institutional asset management firm and wholly-owned unit of the SPARX Group Co. Ltd. Prior to joining PMA in 2003, Ka-Hay was chief trader at CSFB in Singapore and a key member of that investment bank's Emerging Markets Group. Before that, he traded Japanese yen spot and forward contracts for JP Morgan in Tokyo. Ka-Hay earned dual degrees at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1993—a B.Sc. (Hons) in economics and a B.A. in East Asian Studies. He is fluent in Cantonese, English and Japanese.
