Mr Henrik Anderberg, Chief Executive Officer, Ascade, Sweden
Henrik Anderberg joined Ascade as the CEO in May 2006. He brings more than 15 years of Executive leadership in Telecom, Software, Integration service and Consultancy organizations. For the last 10 years, Henrik has been working for IBM in Europe based out from Stockholm and Paris where he has held senior Executive positions including General Manager Business Innovation Services IBM Nordics, Complex Deal Executive IBM EMEA and Director of Outsourcing Sales IBM Nordic. In his most recent position as Senior Project Executive Stockholm Congestion Tax Program, Henrik managed one of IBM’s largest system development & operations projects with a value of more than 100 million USD. Prior to joining IBM, Henrik was the Managing Director and Chief Architect for a software consultancy company. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Stockholm.

Helmut Angst, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of ICSS, Deutsche Telekom
Helmut Angst heads up the international wholesale telecommunications division of Deutsche Telekom, International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS). Prior to joining ICSS, Helmut has worked within the Deutsche Telekom Group for over six years, in various senior positions. Most recently, he was part of the national wholesale organization, heading up national carriers sales at T-Com.
Helmut Angst has a strong international experience having held international management positions in Europe, Asia-Pacific and in the US during his career. Before joining the Deutsche Telekom Group, Helmut Angst spent over ten years working at Digital Equipment in Germany, where he held several management positions. Notably, heading up the mobile services business group and leading public network management for Deutsche Telekom.
Helmut Angst graduated in communications engineering from the University of Siegen, Germany.

Nikhil B. Shah, Vice President, International Development and Board Member, MFA Forum, USA
Mr. Nikhil B. Shah is a Director of Mobile/Convergence Segment at Juniper Networks, where he is responsible for developing wireless infrastructure and fixed-mobile-convergence strategies, solutions, portfolio planning, and partnership initiatives. He also serves as a board member of the leading telecom standard body, MFA Forum (MPLS, Frame Relay, and ATM Forum), where he is also a VP of International Development. He has fourteen years of telecom-industry experience including product management, technical sales/marketing, standards, alliance management, professional services, and software engineering. His current focus includes positioning Juniper and partners’ portfolios in QoS aware multi-service packet transport, mobile RAN backhaul, backbone, and IMS-FMC networks.
Mr. Shah’s prior experience includes eight years at Alcatel-Lucent, where he was closely engaged with developing partnerships and integrated solutions with Juniper, Riverstone, and other data vendors. Prior to Lucent, he worked with Zeitnet (acquired by Cabletron) in ATM switching and network management, Tata Consultancy Services, and ISRO, India. He has frequently spoken at various industry conferences/events and has contributed to various standards development projects.
Mr. Shah received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science from Gujarat/Mumbai universities in India and he holds a diploma in Business Management from Mumbai. He has also completed the Greater Boston Executive Program through the MIT Sloan School of management in Cambridge, MA.

Amit Chawla is VP of Global Business units and Engineering at Veraz Networks. Amit has over 18 years of design, product management and market development experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to Veraz, Amit was CEO of NexVerse Networks and led the merger of NexVerse Networks with ECI Telecom’s NGTS business unit to form Veraz. Prior to joining NexVerse Networks, he was VP Portfolio Management, Communications Server products at Nortel Networks for the packet-based Succession Networks.

Simon Cooper, Senior Director, VSNL International, Singapore
Simon Cooper is a Senior Director within VSNL International’s Global Transmission Services (GTS) group. As part of the senior management within VSNL International, a subsidiary of Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL), Simon is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies surrounding VSNL International’s global network investment and cost base.
Simon has a wide range of technical, commercial and project management experience. As a Senior Director for GTS, he works closely across all lines of businesses to identify VSNL International’s future needs and business opportunities. His core responsibilities also include working with VSNL International’s partners and technology suppliers.
Prior to his employment with VSNL International, he was at Level 3 Communications where he took a lead Engineering role in Level 3’s European Network Rollout, and project managed the Yellow T/A submarine cable network build which was a $150m project completed in less than 18 months. He also had roles in the Operations side of the business, specifically Customer Service Activation, before looking after Level 3’s $50M European Private Line Business. In his earlier tenure with Cable and Wireless, he gained substantial knowledge of submarine cable systems as a Systems Engineer working on and leading many international connectivity projects both constructing new cables and repairing existing cables. Some of the major projects included The ECFS, Gemini and The Cayman-Jamaica cable systems.
In his personal achievements Simon participated in a Round the World yacht race during 2003. Simon has also completed the London marathon and in his free time he likes to travel or keep up with the independent music scene,

Daryl Dunbar, Director 21 CN, Portfolio Development, British Telecom Group Plc, UK
As Director, 21CN Portfolio Development for BT Group, Mr. Dunbar is directing the portfolio strategy across all the lines of businesses. This activity involves assuring the BT Group has the right portfolio to meet its customer’s needs and group financial targets and to drive the requirement for convergent services and solutions for the future. He is responsible for bringing together innovations from across the business as well as outside of BT and by utilising customer insight, delivering them to the market as customer propositions. He delivers strategic analysis of commercial market and technology trends in order to assure the portfolio is fit for purpose now and in the future. Previously, he was Director 21CN Design and Development, where he was responsible for the end-to-end network, systems, service, and product designs and development for BT’s Global Network, including the 21st Century Network (BT’s Next Generation Network or 21CN). He meets regularly with the UK regulator, Ofcom, and this engagement led to a key role in the negotiations of the recent regulatory settlement with Ofcom, providing expert technical and commercial knowledge throughout the process. He is a veteran telecommunications engineer, entrepreneur, and executive, who has designed, deployed, and maintained global private and public networks. Prior to joining BT, he oversaw the turnaround and sale of a fibre network provider in the US and served as Vice President for a Fortune 10 corporation where he oversaw the global optical and IP network and all associated services. He has extensive and successful background in entrepreneurial ventures, including technology, strategy, corporate development, and venture funding and has served in various executive positions including COO, CTO, Chief Architect, co-founder and board member. These companies have raised hundreds of millions of dollars in venture and strategic funding, gained key clients and partnerships, and many have negotiated positive acquisitions.

Currently as Chief Executive Consultant, he has led the competitive repositioning and growth of Bayan Telecommunications Inc., a leading Internet and competitive fixed line provider in the Philippines. At the Bayantel, Tunde leads the 1,600 person, $180 million a year full service provider. The company has been competitively repositioned to deliver data and Internet revenue growth of 30% a year, with a significantly lower cost structure.
Previously he was Vice President, Marketing at Verizon subsidiary, where he was responsible for the product bundling of Landline, Cellular, Video and Internet to over 2 million customers with combined revenues of over $1 billion.
In addition, Tunde has held senior IT management positions in the financial and computer consulting industries. He is the founder of Resourcery Limited the largest network integrator in West Africa.
He is a frequent speaker and panelist addressing Internet and telecom infrastructure issues at international conferences. His articles and papers have been published in leading industry magazines and on the Internet.

Karl J. Weaver is a Washington State-based International business executive with Mandarin Chinese Language and cross-cultural expertise. Karl lived and worked in Greater China for 10 years and has been involved in selling and marketing to China and India since 1985.
He has geared his professional career around developing business opportunities for wireless communications products to Asia-Pacific and Greater China markets in the emerging Pacific Century. He has been in the local Puget Sound wireless industry for a decade, helping three well-known high-tech companies expand Asian markets (Zetron, Metawave and Leviton Voice & Data). In July, 2004, Karl was recruited down to Tempe, Arizona by Freescale Semiconductor and was Senior Technical Marketing/Business Development Manager and Smart Phone Evangelist. Freescale Semiconductor was recently launched by Motorola as a spin off of their Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS).
He is also a member of the Washington State China Relations Council and the Washington State Software Alliance. In late 1999, while working at Leviton Voice & Data, he was selected by the Seattle World Trade - Host Organization and the U.S. State Department to be the official liaison officer for the Hong Kong Government's WTO trade delegation, during the 3rd round of the Seattle WTO ministerial sessions at the Washington State Convention Center from December 1st~5th. Karl Hosted and managed the 25-person high-level Hong Kong government delegation for all logistic and minister-to-minister business meetings.
In mid-2005, Karl was recruited back up to Washington State as Greater China/Asia-Pac Business Development Manager for Intrinsyc Software International to sell/market “soleus” a Windows CE core based feature phone (OS) platform for mobile devices to Greater China handset OEM/ODM vendors. Karl continues to deliver public speaking on wireless technologies and is currently on a global speaking tour promoting the “Global Smart Phone Revolution – China: Mobile Digital Dragon & India: IT Super Tiger”.

He graduated from Solvay Business School of The University of Brussels and has expansive management experiences in Belgacom. Before joining TeliaSonera, Ingvar Larsson was employed by the Ericsson Group. With 20 years of experience from the IT industry as Consultant, Project Manager and as Senior Manager for R&D, professional services and systems integration Ingvar Larsson has held various positions within Ericsson.
During 2002-2005 he held the position as Vice President and General Manager Core Unit Service Network and Applications. Before that he was Head of Sales and Business Management within the Business Unit Global Services. Between 1999 -2001 Ingvar Larsson held the position as Service Business Line Director for Telecom Management and Professional Services. During 1999 he was Director for Region EMEA, Ericsson Business Consulting. During 1998 Ingvar Larsson was Director, Professional Services, Enterprise Networks. Before joining Ericsson Ingvar Larsson held a position as Vice President at Sun Microsystems AB.

Jan Larsson has worked for TeliaSonera International Carrier since May 1999 and has held a number of positions within the company, such as Voice Product Manager in Germany, Head of Voice Buying, Head of Voice Strategy & Analysis, general Strategy Manager and now as senior Advisor.
Jan has for his age gained a solid international experience by studying and working outside of his native country Sweden for extended periods of time, including more than five years in Japan and Germany. He has been a true pioneer in many fields of the international telecom wholesale business, such as already in 1999 pioneering in an extensive use of bilateral Voice Traffic Volume Agreements (his standard agreement is among the most commonly used in the Industry today) as well as contributed to the first wave of VoIP-deployment with the Telia VoIP Clearinghouse in 1999-2001. Throughout the years, he has put a lot of focus on creatively lowering the cost-base and creating new products in order to sustain profitability on a highly competitive market. Currently, he is working with the strategic planning and business development of TeliaSonera International Carrier, among other things focusing on the future network and its requirements and implications on current and future business models. TeliaSonera International Carrier has on overall ambition to be the Knowledge Leader of the industry. Jan is very much a part of this ambition, which is reflected in his contributing dialogues with the industry.
Jan holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration and Economics.
TeliaSonera International Carrier, fully-owned by the TeliaSonera Group, provides wholesale, capacity and IP services to network and service providers. The services are based on the wholly-owned European and trans-Atlantic fibre network, and the IP network with peering points in Europe and in the US. The international voice business is focused on international interconnect agreements and bilateral routes.

Calvin Lee is responsible for Deutsche Telekom carriers’ carriers business, International Carriers Sales & Solutions (ICSS), for the Asia Pacifc & Middle East region. Mr Lee joined the Deutsche Telekom group in Singapore 1997. Since then he has steered the growth of the business, and increased local presences in the region with set-up of sales offices in Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. Under his lead, sales have quadrupled.
Prior to joining the Deutsche Telekom group, Mr. Lee was with Corporate Access, where he was involved in international VSAT service satellite communication for enterprise and carriers in the South and South East Asia regions. Mr Lee started his career in sales with IBM Singapore for IBM’s Global Services.
Mr. Lee earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and obtained an Honours Degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Philippe Millet is Vice President of Customer Marketing and Development for international wholesale carrier services at France Telecom Networks, Carriers & IT Division.
Philippe joined France Telecom in 1999 to manage an international customer relationship management outsourcing business unit. He went on to head the department in charge of operating France Telecom’s international network abroad, following the acquisition of Global One (now Equant). This experience prepared Philippe for the position he took up in 2001 as head of Equant Account Management at France Telecom. A key responsibility was ensuring the development of synergies between the two entities in network management, sales, finance and human resources. He took up his current position in 2002.

Masaaki Moribayashi, President & CEO, NTT Com Asia Limited, Hong Kong
Masaaki Moribayashi assumed his current position with NTT Com Asia (NTT CA), wholly owned subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) the long-distance and global telecommunications arm of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Corporation (NYSE: NTT) in October 2006. Mr. Moribayashi is now responsible for providing full range of ICT (Information Communication Technology) services in Hong Kong, including Network products, Data Center and Hosting solutions, and Systems Integrations. He joined NTT in 1984.
Mr. Moribayashi was one of the original OCN project members and contributed to start-up NTT Com’s first ISP business from September 1995 to June 1998. As a Director of Strategic Planning OCN Business Division, he designed network architecture, selected and tested multiple router/server vendors, selected international circuit vendors, and support developing products and services. Then he transferred to Verio Inc., as a Director of International Partnerships. At Verio, he was responsible for overall international reseller partnerships. In August 2003, he came back to NTT Com as a Vice President of NTT Com Global IP Network Sales and Marketing. He contributed in expanding NTT Com’s global IP business and quadrupled Japan–US IP backbone to 95Gbps, the industry's largest bandwidth to provide end users with fast, smooth global Internet connections.
He has a Bachelor of Science, Electronic Engineering from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University, New York, USA.

During 2005-2007 she held the position as Director Internet Services within Business Area Consumer in TeliaSonera Sweden AB. During 2002-2005 she held the position as Director Product Management for different areas within Mobile and Fixed Data Communication. Before that she was Vice President Strategy at Telia E-bolaget AB. 1998 -2000 Anna Mossberg held the position as Vice President IP Services in Telia International Carrier AB. She was also a Member of the Board in Telia International Carrier Polska z.p.o.o., Telia Carrier Hong Kong Ltd. and Telia North America Ltd. In 1997 Anna Mossberg took part in founding Telia Light AB, a VoIP Service Provider. In 1996 Anna joined Telia AB.

Harvey is Pyramid Research’s Manager Asia Pacific based out of Pyramid’s Hong Kong office. A fluent Mandarin speaker, Harvey also oversees coverage of the China market for Pyramid. He also has a strong background of directing Asia regional research in fields including VoIP, convergence, terminals, and NGN. Mr. Ricky Wong Wai-kay is the co-founder of the Group, who is the chairman of City Telecom (HK) Limited and Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited. Mr. Wong graduated in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1985 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, and possesses many years’ experience in telecommunications and computer industries. Upon graduation, Mr. Wong joined IBM and launched a business venture of his own in Canada in 1989.
In 1991, Mr. Wong set up City Telecom Incorporation in Canada. A year later, he returned to Hong Kong to set up City Telecom (H.K.) Ltd. to provide competitively-priced IDD services. Under the leadership of Mr. Wong, City Telecom (H.K.) Ltd. has played a major role in the liberalization of the telecommunications market in Hong Kong. Invested in its own network, the wholly-owned subsidiary, Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited, is one of the major fixed network operators in HK. Its network, which is the world’s largest Metro Ethernet IP network, is connected by self-built fibre backbone to provide 1000, 100 and 10 Mbps broadband Internet access, telephony, IP-TV and corporate data services.
