Dr Khaled Almazroui, General Manager, Fujairah International Airport, Department of Civil Aviation
Khaled Al Mazroui joined Fujairah International Airport again as a Management Trainee and was promoted to the position of Finance and Administration Manager in 1994. He was then accorded the position of Deputy General Manager in May 1995 followed by the position of Acting General Manager in 1999. He became the General Manager of the Airport in 2001.
He also represents the Airport as member of Gulf Airport Services Association (GASA), International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airports Council International (ACI), and represents the Department of Civil Aviation during Air Services Agreement between UAE and different countries.

Mr Kjeld Binger, Chief Executive Officer, DAE Airports, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise
Kjeld Binger is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Airports. Previously, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Copenhagen Airports International, and holds key positions in several of the group’s acquired airports. He is currently the acting Chief Executive Officer for ASUR Mexico. He is a board member on several airport group companies as well – such as ASUR Mexico, Newcastle International Airport, and Hainan Meilan International Airport. Previously, he was involved in the construction industry in Denmark.

Mr David Ciceo, Managing Director, Cluj-Napoca International Airport
As the Managing Director since 1995, David's main responsibilities at the Airport include managing and ensuring a proper politics of safety, regularity, efficiency of the all aeronautical operations and services within the airport. He also determines the competencies, responsibilities and strategies for developing and modernizing the airport infrastructure to growth regional economic potential and to satisfy aviation demand. He constantly pursue excellence in line with the civil aviation’s norms, standards and regulations, and cooperates with internal and external partners, national and international institutions or organizations.

Mr Peter de Jong, President and Chief Executive Officer, Pacific Asia Travel Association
Peter de Jong, President and CEO of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), is responsible for providing visionary leadership for the Association and overseeing the delivery of commercially-relevant services to enhance the sustainable growth, value and quality of Asia Pacific travel and tourism for the benefit of PATA members. He is based at the PATA head office in Bangkok.
Prior to joining PATA in November 2001, Mr de Jong served for 10 years as Director General of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO), the global trade association for the youth and student travel industry. Under Mr de Jong’s leadership, FIYTO experienced a decade of unparalleled growth of its membership, its global recognition and its financial resources.
Founded in 1951, PATA is the recognised authority on Asia Pacific travel and tourism. The Association provides marketing, research and educational opportunities to a membership of nearly 100 government, state and city tourism bodies, over 55 airlines and cruise lines, and many hundreds of travel industry companies. In addition, thousands of travel professionals belong to over 30 PATA Chapters worldwide.

Mr Francois Dormoy, Director, ACI Traffic Forecast Advisory Services (DKMA)
G. François Dormoy joined DKMA in 2006 as Director. Prior to that, he was Chief Air Transport Consultant at Airclaims’s International Transport and Tourism Consultancy Division and has been responsible for the undertaking of consultancy projects for airports, government agencies, airlines and the tourism industry.
Prior to joining Airclaims he spent 27 years in IATA (International Air Transport Association) where he started as an air transport economist and has been responsible for airline and airport economic traffic forecasts, route development and civil aviation benefit studies, on an industry project basis as well as on a consultancy basis for individual airlines and airports. He produced airport traffic forecast studies for capacity planning purposes for over 60 airports in the world. He also headed delegations of airlines during negotiations with airport and civil aviation authorities concerning airport and en-route charges. He represented IATA at various ICAO workshops dealing with the preparation of the ICAO Airport Economics Manual and statistical manuals. His last position was Head of the Air Transport Consultancy Unit of the Organization.

Mr Andrew Drysdale, Vice President, Asia Pacific, IATA
Mr Drysdale, was appointed Regional Director Asia/Pacific for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in April 2002. In March ‘03 he was appointed Regional Vice President for Asia/ Pacific, the first such appointment in IATA. He also serves as Chairman of IATA’s commercially based “IATA India Private Ltd.” IATA has undergone substantial restructuring and redirection in recent years. Mr. Drysdale has lead this change in the Asia/ Pacific region He has had extensive experience in aviation and tourism in Australia and the South Pacific. Mr Drysdale was for 10 years Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji national airline Air Pacific. He led the company through a major turnaround and subsequent growth and profitability. He has also successfully held positions as C.E.O. of Fiji based Blue Lagoon Cruises Ltd, tour wholesaler Tapa Tours, Managing Director of Australia’s Captain Cook Cruises Ltd. and C.E.O. of Publicly listed Australian Regional Airline, Hazelton Airlines. He is a former Aircraft engineer and has held engineering qualifications on a range of piston and jet aircraft.

Ms Karen A Eidsvik, Regional Director, Asia, Subway International B.V.
Karen Eidsvik, a Canadian, moved to Asia in 1989 as part of a management exchange program out of university. She hasn’t looked back and resides in Singapore after having worked and lived in Japan and Thailand. She established the first Subway sandwich franchise in Singapore in 1996 and has been part of the Subway team ever since. She moved from being a franchisee to the role of development agent building the Singapore market, to regional manager for South East Asia and has been the Regional Director for Asia since 1994. As such she and her team are responsible for developing the Subway brand from Japan to India, growing Subway from 300 to 2000 stores by 2010. She is a member of the Singapore Franchise and Licensing Association’s executive board and headed the committee awarding franchise of the year in 2006. She is also on the board for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the American Chamber. When not assessing the quality of Asia’s airport lounges she can be found on the water in Singapore paddling with the Canadian dragon boat team.

Mr Pieter Elbers, Senior Vice President, Network, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
Pieter joined KLM on November 1, 1992. In the period between 1992 and 1999 he occupied various positions related to operations and business economics. From 1999 to 2004, he held various commercial posts in Italy, Greece and Japan. He last held the position of Vice President Network Planning KLM (from 2005).
Effective September 1 2006, Pieter was appointed Senior Vice President Network. In this capacity, he now reports directly to KLM’s COO and carries responsibility for the logistics processes at Network Planning and Capacity Planning within KLM, and in relation to Network Partners.

Dr C C Hsin, Director, Asia Pacific, The MITRE Corporation
Dr Hsin is Director, MITRE Aviation Institute and International Director, Asia-Pacific Region for the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD) of the MITRE Corporation. He is responsible for the planning and execution of CAASD's aviation training initiative, which serves the global aviation community. He also directs the business planning, development and management of MITRE's aviation programs in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Dr Hsin's previous experience included work on CAASD's FAA and international communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management (CNS/ATM) systems, airport and airspace systems and aviation safety/security programs. He also held senior positions at ARINC, Inc. supporting their international CNS/ATM and airport programs.

Mr David Inglis, Assistant Director, Airport Development, IATA
David joined IATA as Assistant Director, Airport Development in 1993 after a 23-year career at Air Canada. His work at IATA includes promoting ACC activity in the Asia/Pacific region and supporting ACCs in Bangkok, Beijing, Delhi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Mumbai, Nagoya, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. He was the editor of the 8th edition of the Airport Development Reference Manual (ADRM) and has been a speaker at four Passenger Terminal EXPO airport planning conferences. He has participated on three jury panels involved with airport planning competitions in China. David moved in April 2005 from Montreal to Singapore to be closer to his work on airport development in Asia Pacific.

Ms Suning Liu, Executive Director, Macau International Airport Company Limited
Ms Liu Suning – Executive Director of the Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. is now in charge of overseeing and implementing the overall strategy and management of the Company. Previously, Ms. Liu was the Senior Assistant to Chairman & Director of Marketing Department, responsible for the company’s marketing sales activities and administrative work. Ms. Liu graduated from the Jilin University, China. Having started her career with Air China was sent to United States and Japan to participate in a specialized knowledge and skill training.
Ms Liu has over 20 years experience in aviation management. She is very familiar with Macau’s the aviation industry development. Ms. Liu held positions as Assistant to General Manager of CNAC (Macau), Chairman of the Board of Administration of Airports Limited, Board Director of Air Macau and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Masc – Ogden Co. Ltd. (today Menzies Macau Aviation Services). In 2004, she is appointed as Director-General of Institute of Macao Civil Aviation.

Mr John McCall, Chief Executive, Dunedin International Airport
John is the Chief Executive of Dunedin International Airport Limited. With an engineering and general management background both in New Zealand and overseas, in 1988 he joined New Zealand’s airport industry in Dunedin to undertake the restructuring and transition of Dunedin’s airport from a non-commercial local and central government enterprise to a public corporate entity with commercial and customer focused objectives. Since 1989 John has also been involved in the wider commercial aviation community in New Zealand and is a past president of the Aviation Industry Association of New Zealand. John is an Associate Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management, is a director of Tourism Dunedin and Taieri Gorge Railway Limited, and a board member of Dunedin City Council’s economic development initiative – “Project Gateway”.

Mr Peter Morris, Chief Economist, Ascend
Peter is a veteran of over 20 years’ in the air transport industry. His expertise spans strategic and economic studies, industry forecasts and a range of traffic, capacity, revenue and cost analyses.
Before joining Ascend in 2003, Peter was Chief Economist and Director, Research Consultancy for the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where he developed IATA’s Aviation Information & Research (AIR) department into a leading global commercial supplier of air transport information and research. Peter is a regular media commentator on the aviation industry and the impact of new market developments.

Mr Marc Oedekoven, Vice President, Asia, Lufthansa Consulting GmbH
Marc Oedokoven currently heads the Lufthansa Consulting practice in Asia, and is based in Singapore. Lufthansa Consulting is an independent subsidiary of Lufthansa German Airlines, has provided services and solutions to the air transportation industry worldwide. Its portfolio and consulting experts are dedicated to assist aviation specific client groups: airline, airports and aviation authorities as well as related industries such as ground handling companies, cargo terminal operators, aircraft manufacturers and financial institutions. Marc’s expertise includes sales and marketing, with experience in the air cargo industry as well as alliance management and business strategy. Previously, he was with Lufthansa Cargo handling Middle East operations in increasing air cargo efficiency and sales.

Shri Ajay Prasad, Former Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation
Shri Ajay Prasad has worked earlier in Government of India as Director in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, and has also done a four year term with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on diversification and modernization of Jute Industry in India. From October 2000 to September 2002, he was Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence.
From 27th September, 2002 to 14th July, 2003 he was Officer on Special Duty to Deputy Prime Minister and took over as Defence Secretary on 14th July, 2003.
Shri Prasad took over as Secretary (Civil Aviation) on 1st July, 2004 and has retired since January 2007.

Mr Azharuddin Rahman is currently the Director, Airworthiness and Flight Operations, at Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia. He is one of the DCA Malaysia key personnel during AirAsia start up its operations.

Sinead El Sibai joinied Dubai Duty Free in 2000. A division of the Government of Dubai, Dubai Duty Free is actively involved with the promotion of Dubai as a major business and leisure destination. In her role as Director of Marketing and Promotions, Sinead oversees Dubai Duty Free extensive marketing campaigns that incorporate Advertising, Public Relations, Media Relations, Promotions and Event Management.

Shri R C Sinha, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Maharashtra Airport Development Company
Having been retired in the year 1996 as Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra, he was Director General, National Academy of Construction (NAC), Hyderabad in the rank of Special Chief Secretary to Government of A.P. and Infrastructure Advisor to the then Chief Minister, Shri. Chandra Babu Naidu, followed by Advisor to the Government of Goa. Presently he is Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. in rank and status of Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Maharashtra. He has international travel exposure and written extensively on infrastructure and received many awards.

Mr Kunikatsu Yamashita, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Central Japan International Airport Company Limited
Mr Yamashita joined Ministry of Transport (MOT) since 1967, and has moved from Maritime Safety Agency to Kanto District Transport Bureau, to being the Director-General of Road Transport Bureau at MOT. In 1996, he was Director at Japan Railway Construction Public Corporation and since 1998, he has been the Senior Executive Vice President and COO of Central Japan International Airport.
