Dr. A.S.Firoz is a reputed economist from India, known worldwide for his work on the steel and energy industries as also on international trade matters. He worked on the problem of disequilibrium states of the market in reference to the erstwhile centrally planned economies for which he was awarded the Ph.D. by the coveted Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. He also worked on the concept of soft budget constraint syndrome.
He has a large number of research papers and articles published in major research journals and top Indian business newspapers. He has also addressed a very large number of international and national conferences and seminars on subject matters ranging from the industrial development to government policy issues.
Currently, he is Chief Economist at the Economic Research Unit of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. Earlier he worked as a Consultant to the Bureau of Industrial Costs and Prices ( now re-designated as the Tariff Commission), Ministry of Industry, Government of India.

Li Hongwei, a bachelor of law, began his career in the recycling aluminum industry in 1996 and was directly engaged in metals collecting, recycling and re-melting, sales as well as world trade practices. In 2002 he began to work in China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Recycling Metals Branch (CMRA) responsible for analyzing and investigating on domestic and oversea scrap metal market. After extensive research into this market over a sustained period of time, he has published quite a few expertise analytical articles focusing on the country’s metals recycling industry. He has also been invited by world market research institutions such as Metal Bulletin to make reports regarding China’s recycling aluminum industry. In 2006 Li Hongwei began his new career in Shanghai Sigma Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd as the Assistant of General Manager and simultaneously he also works for part time as vice director of the Speciality Committee of Technical Service for China Recycling Resource.

Prof.K.S.S.Murthy, Emeritus Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, graduated from University of Mysore with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, he obtained Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Indian Institute of Science. He has guided a number of Master’s and Doctoral programmes besides publishing over 160 papers. He was also associated with the Canmet-Materials Technology Laboratory, Ottawa, Canada, where he initiated research programmes relating to aluminium and copper.
He has been the Secretary-General of Aluminium Association of India, the apex body of Indian Aluminium industry. He is also a member of several Advisory Committees of Government of India and the Chairman of Light Metals & Alloys Sectional Committee, MTD 7 of BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS.

Mr. YILMAZ started his professional career as a Production Planning Chief at the firm Çimsatas that is located in Mersin for 5 months in 1980, in the same year he moved on and started working at Erdemir (Eregli). At Erdemir his career-steps were as in the following order: Process Engineer of Steel Making Plant, Process Engineer of Continuous Casting Plant, Senior Engineer of Steel Making, Deputy Manager of Steel Making Plant, Manager of Steel Making Plant, Manager of Steel Making & Continuous Casting Plant, Head of Steel Making Plant. He has fulfilled above-mentioned duties and was appointed to Isdemir, when Isdemir was taken over by Erdemir on February the 1st in 2002. Mr. YILMAZ has been continuing his profession as Vice President - Operation at Isdemir since 2002.
