About the Conference

Australia’s $90 billion water industry is up for a face-lift. Utilities, government regulators, large water users and policy-makers are galvanising resources to modernise capital-intensive infrastructures, while balancing commercial, conservation and end-user interests. The industry is also keen to source new funds for projects, while improving the management of access, supply and demand for increasingly scarce water resources.

For ten years, The National Water Conference has attracted senior executives who lead strategy and make top-line purchasing decisions. This is the established forum where Australia’s policy-makers, senior utility managers, and water industry leaders meet to debate and announce market reforms, capital projects, and other initiatives – critical for the sustainability of Australia’s water industry.

The conference will debate policy, reform, business models and technologies, covering the key challenges in the industry, including:

  • Water policy and water usage reform
  •  Water trading and water property rights
  •  Waste water management strategies
  •  Water/wastewater treatment
  •  Water re-use/re-cycling
