With more than 30 years experience in Ocean and land transportation Industry, Ian has worked in managerial roles within the NOL Group of Companies since 1993, in UK, Germany, Sri Lanka, India and South East Asia.

Having recently moved to Singapore from Mumbai, where he spent 6 years as NOL Group of companies Country Manager, he is experienced in identifying supply chain opportunities, with infrastructural requirements and legislative environments necessary for successful investment in manufacturing, and recognizes the demands of a global consumer economy.

Ian is a Class 1 Master Mariner, graduating from the University Of Wales in 1984, and holds diplomas in Nautical Studies from Liverpool University

He graduated as a mechanical engineer and received his MBA in France. He started his career as Procurement engineer for gearing boxes at Renault (car manufacturer); he then spend 2 years in Ivory Coast doing consulting for the ministry of commerce & industry. Back to France, Xavier worked 3 years as a sales engineer and sales manager for SNR, a ball bearing company.

Xavier joined hp 20 years ago and worked as procurement engineering manager, he developed the European components qualification center. He then had different responsibilities as engineering manager, SMT factory marketing manager and became manufacturing manager for the workstations division. For the last 6 years Xavier droved different activities in Supply Chain re-invention in both divisions and Personal Computer Group, including outsourcing, reengineering and integration after the HP Compaq merger, he has developed the Personal Computer Group Supply Chain Strategy. Xavier is currently re engineering the services supply chain and driving Total Customer Experience programs for EMEA.

Sandy has spent almost a decade with Procter & Gamble in Europe – Netherlands, Brussels and Egypt. He was closely associated with P&G’s manufacturing operations restructuring in Europe and establishment of their Shared Services operations.

Post P&G, Sandy joined a dotcom and thereafter the offshore IT services industry where he worked for the past 5 years at the capacity of a domain / functional expert.

At Cognizant, Sandy heads a 100+ strong Domain Consulting team in the Retail, Manufacturing & Logistics Vertical. – a team consisting of associates with industry experience, global consulting experience and hires from Tier 1 B-schools. This team work on Supply Chain Consulting engagements to define solution, and as functional consultants in projects – ensuring that the IT solutions delivered by Cognizant meets the business objectives of the client.

Sandy is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has an MBA from The Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, The Netherlands.

Mr. Yang Qin, a graduate of both QinHuangDao Customs School and Shanghai Customs Academy, received his advanced degree of Master of Public Administration (MPA) with honor from the National Graduate Research Institute of Policy Studies (GRIPS) in 2001 and currently is a Ph. D candidate at China Politics & Law University.

Mr. Yang Qin has worked in the General Administration of Customs of PRC for more than 16 years, especially in the areas of international cooperation and Customs modernization. He has been the key facilitator of the Sino-US Shanghai Demonstration Port Project in the framework of APEC, the Container Security Initiatives (CSI) China Implementation Project, and Sino-US Customs Modernization Project in the framework of WTO. From 2002 to 2004, he acted as the Senior International Liaison Officer in the Regional Intelligence Liaison Office of Asia & Pacific, World Customs Organization and has successfully relocated that crucial office for international Customs community from Tokyo, Japan to Beijing, China.

Mr. Yang Qin is an internationally-recognized expert of Customs modernization and supply chain security. He is the author of “New Concept of International Supply Chain”, “Customs Modernization and International Trade Superhighway”, “International Customs Studies”, “The Secretariat of International Organization” and the writer of more than 100 professional papers published globally.

Mr. Yang Qin has been interviewed by American Shipper magazine, Japan NHK, Iranian National TV station, China Youth Daily and ect. He has also been frequently invited to be the keynote speaker at various international forum, summit and conference.
