James Graves, Executive Director James is a portfolio specialist for Liquid Markets portfolios at Morgan Stanley AIP, focusing on client service. He joined Morgan Stanley AIP in 2004 and has 29 years of investment experience. Before joining the firm, James was a managing director at HedgeFund.net and a managing director at Zurich Capital Markets, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of style-specific, institutionally oriented hedge funds. Previously, James was a senior vice president and co-head of institutional business development for American General Investment Management, as well as a senior vice president at Acadian Asset Management, where he was responsible for marketing and client service and served on the firm’s operating committee. Prior to that, James was a vice president at T. Rowe Price Investment Services and WTC Capital Advisors. James received a B.A. in English and political science from Trinity College and an M.B.A from New York University.
Dale Briscoe, Executive Director Dale is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Head of the International Portfolio Specialist group for Liquid Markets portfolios and Portable Alpha strategies based in London. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2005 and has 18 years of investment experience. He is a board director of Morgan Stanley multi-strategy Fund plc and Morgan Stanley Funds plc. Before joining the firm, Dale was a managing director at QED Asset Management, a long-short equity hedge fund manager and an executive director and a senior proprietary trader at West LB, where he managed both global macro and relative value investment strategies. Previously, he was the executive vice president of Pavilion Capital, a boutique alternative investment firm and the founder and chief executive officer at Virtuous Circle Asset Management, a global macro hedge fund manager. Prior to that, Dale was an executive director in UBS Warburg’s Alternative Asset Management division, a vice president at Bankers Trust Company in both the traditional asset management and hedge fund management business, as well as an associate at Lehman Brothers in the fixed income and foreign exchange division. Dale received an M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London University.
