Paula Allen,

Paula Allen’s background includes extensive experience across Funds Management, Hedge Funds and Superannuation Funds, encompassing strategic management, change management, finance, investments and IT. This experience has mostly been gained in Australia, USA and China.

Paula’s practical skill in turning around businesses has been a continuing characteristic of her career from her early days with Bankers Trust and Colonial Investment, through to her transformation of LUCRF Super, in her role as Chief Executive, into a modern and efficient superannuation leader. This success was endorsed by the fund’s entry into the BRW Top 500 Private Companies in each of her three years, 2004 – 2006, and the winning of SuperRatings Gold Medal Award and its Rising Star Award for 2005/2006.

After three years of leadership, with all of her objectives achieved, Paula left LUCRF Super to embark on the next stage of her career.
Paula is a member of the Business Advisory Committee to ASIC, she was the past Regional Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Vic), and she holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant. She was a finalist in the 2005 Telstra Business Womens’ Awards, for Community & Government Business’ (Vic).

Robert Fong,

Robert Fong is ING Real Estate’s Director of Strategy and Research for Greater China. He is responsible for helping to formulate the strategic direction of investments within China and oversees the financial due diligence on ING’s China investments.
Prior to joining ING Real Estate, he worked for Citigroup Global Markets where he was Head of Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) Real Estate Equity Research, coordinating a team of 5 analysts in the region.
Before Citigroup, Robert was a member of the Asia Pacific Real Estate team at Credit Suisse First Boston. During his time at CSFB, he undertook an in-depth study of the effects of China’s Housing Reforms and the impact on the major urban markets. At HSBC James Capel, Mr. Fong was involved in the IPOs of two China
based Property development companies. In all, he has over eight years’ experience researching real estate markets in Hong Kong and across China.
Mr. Fong is a Chartered Accountant (Canada) and a Chartered Financial Analyst.


Ms Amanda Gillespie,

Amanda joined Lonsec in March 2000 after spending six years at BT Funds Management in Sydney working in the areas of tactical asset allocation, research and risk management. Amanda’s experience at BT included roles in Institutional Business Development and as a Research Analyst within the International Equities area before spending three years working in the BT Tactical Asset Allocation Group. In this role Amanda was a Registered Representative of the Sydney Futures Exchange.

As Head of Investment Consulting at Lonsec, Amanda is accountable for the Lonsec model portfolio construction process (including fund evaluation and selection), as well as broader asset allocation and risk profile analysis. This role also involves working with clients to provide tailored solutions for their businesses, including advice on construction of approved lists and participation on Investment Committees. Amanda’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) with an Econometrics major, from Monash University.

Tom Hardwick is the Director - Funds Management of the Abacus Property Group. Prior to joining Abacus in May 2006, Tom was a Corporate Finance Director with Patersons Securities Ltd, where he specialised in raising capital for listed property trusts and other income funds. Tom's clients included Abacus, Aspen, ING, JF Merdian and Goldlink Capital, for whom he has raised over $450M from the institutional and retail investment markets in recent years.

In recent times, Abacus has been focusing on funds management opportunities in non-traditional asset classes, such as self-storage, hotels, pubs and childcare centers. The Abacus Storage Fund now owns $180m of self-storage facilities in Australia and New Zealand, and the soon to be launched Abacus Hospitality Fund will have an initial portfolio of hotels valued at $250m.

Adrian Harrington has over 13 years experience in the funds management and property industries. He was appointed CEO of JFFM in January 2005.

Adrian has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He previously held senior positions at JFG, Deutsche Asset Management, Paladin Australia Limited and at the Property Council of Australia.

Craig has been responsible for building VFMC’s $1.5bn of unlisted domestic property investment with nine managers investing in 16 products.

Craig joined VFMC in July 1996. He has over fifteen years experience in funds management, including working as an investment strategist for National Mutual and Commonwealth Funds Management. Prior to entering funds management, Craig worked in the Commonwealth Department of Treasury. Craig is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, majoring in Economics.

As Director, Client Services Asia , Philip Levinson is responsible for raising capital from within the Asia Pacific region for investment in LaSalle’s funds. Philip is also responsible for managing clients’ accounts and the development of new products to meet investors’ requirements. He is also responsible for maintaining and developing the LaSalle brand within the Asia Pacific region.

Previous Experience
Prior to taking up his appointment, Philip was Director, Property at Westpac Institutional Bank in Sydney. In this role he was responsible for managing the Debt and Debt Capital markets requirements of Australian REIT clients. In addition, Philip ran Westpac’s Hotel Banking team which was awarded Australia’s Hotel Bank of the Year from 2002 -2004.

Previous positions held include Director–Hotels for CBRichard Ellis, and Development Manager, Mirvac Group. Philip has over 20 years experience in real estate and finance throughout the Asia Pacific and the UK. Philip commenced his career with Jones Lang Wootton in London before being transferred to Australia.

Education and Affiliations
Philip obtained his Law Degree from Bristol University. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Australian Property Institute as well as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. A former Corporate Leader in the Property Council of Australia, Philip has chaired a number of industry committees and is regularly invited to speak at industry conferences. Philip is currently a member of the Management Board of the Asian Public Real Estate Association (APREA).


Mr Michael McCook,

Michael McCook joined Kenwood Investments, LLC, as President in June 2006. Kenwood Investments is an established entrepreneurial real estate development company headquartered in San Francisco’s historic Ferry Building focusing on high profile, mixed use urban infill projects, (including the redevelopment of former Naval Base Treasure Island), hospitality and residential developments.

Mr. McCook is a 33-year veteran of the real estate industry with extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of the real estate investment profession. His broad operational experience and strong strategic skills to manage an asset class that is growing in strategic importance to investors makes Mr. McCook a valuable addition to the Kenwood team.

Previously, Mr. McCook was the Senior Investment Officer of Real Estate with the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. CalPERS is the nation’s largest public pension fund. It provides retirement and health-related benefits to 1.1 million state and local public employees and their families. Mr. McCook oversaw real estate investment staff and external advisors responsible for investing in and managing CalPERS equity in real estate assets of approximately $13.5 billion. During Mr. McCook’s tenure CalPERS achieved record breaking returns and went from a primary “domestic” platform to a global investment platform including commitments to fund developments in China and India.

Prior to his work at Kenwood Investments, LLC and CalPERS, Mr. McCook spent three and a half years at Institutional Housing Partners (IHP), a Newport Beach-based real estate firm, where he served as the Managing Director of Operations based in Northern California. At IHP, he was responsible for creating new business opportunities and supervised the due diligence process for all Northern California transactions. Prior to joining IHP, he served for five years as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Prudential Home Building Investors, a national company created by Prudential Real Estate Investors to provide pension fund capital to the home building industry. His experience also includes operating a real estate equity fund for DevCap International, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Dr. Leonard Meyer zu Brickwedde has been based in Asia since 1993. After successfully building
up the Hypo Real Estate Capital Japan Corporation since 2004 he became the Head of Hypo Real
Estate’s Asian platform in June of 2005. In this position Dr. Meyer zu Brickwedde is responsible
for the business in Japan and Hong Kong as well as for the company’s growth in Asia-Pacific.

Philip is the Portfolio Manager of Ascendas-MGM Funds Management Limited (AMGM), the manager of Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A-REIT), the second listed REIT on the SGX and the first business space REIT in Singapore. A-REIT has gross assets of $2.7 billion and is the 33 largest entity listed on the SGX by market capitalisation.

Philip is responsible for the investment and asset management of the A-REIT portfolio. He is responsible for growing A-REIT’s property portfolio from S$600 million at the IPO in November 2002 to the current size of S$2.6 billion.

Prior to joining Ascendas-MGM in October 2002, he worked within the AMP Henderson Global Investors Listed Property Trust group.

Andrew Scott is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Centro Properties Group. Centro
specialises in the ownership, management and development of shopping centres, with substantial
retail property holdings in Australasia and the United States. Centro owns and manages 230 retail
properties worth approximately A$10.6 billion, which recorded Australian retail sales turnover of
A$9.0 billion for the 2005 financial year. Centro’s 106 US properties are valued at A$3.4 billion.

Andrew has 23 years experience in retail and retail property and joined Centro in March 1997 after
15 years with Coles Myer Ltd. in various senior property, finance and strategy positions. Andrew

Craig has worked in the funds management industry since 1982 when he joined Bankers Trust as
Assistant Economist. Over 15 years with Bankers Trust he held a variety of roles including being
a member of the Asset Allocation Committee and involvement in the management of balanced, property
securities and international equity funds. In 1993 he was appointed Head of International Equities.
Craig joined Tower Asset Management in 1997 as Chief Investment Officer and in this role was
responsible for the management of $8 billion of assets which included Australian and international
equities and property securities mandates. In 2001 he joined hedge fund manager Vertex Capital
as Investment Director.

Craig has a Bachelor of Economics(Honours) from the University of Sydney and is an Associate of
the Securities Institute of Australia.


Mr Marshall Vann,

Marshall joined MFS group in 2003 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of MLG in April
2006. Marshall has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a qualified

the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Marshall has over 20 years experience in the accounting and finance industries, including senior

The PFA Diversified Property Trust has a value of approximately $400 million following $200 million in transactions since Jonathan’s appointment in mid 2005.
