CARL DUNNING-GRIBBLE. SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, Credit Agricole Asset Management Alternative Investment, France
Carl Dunning-Gribble joined CA2AM as Global Head of Sales and Marketing, based in Paris, in October 2004. Prior to joining CA2AM, Carl was responsible for marketing and sales of “structured equity issues” within CAI Cheuvreux/Calyon. During the 10 years he has been with the Crédit Agricole group, Carl has occupied various positions in the Capital Markets division where he was active in marketing fixed income and equity products to institutional clients. Carl holds a BSc. in Economics from London University and a MBA from Boston University. His professional experience prior to the Crédit Agricole group included Merrill Lynch (London), Salomon Brothers (London), West-Deutsche Landesbank in Germany and Kredietbank in Luxembourg. Carl holds a British passport and has a strong European experience.
Fabien Labouret, Head of Structured Products Asia, IXIS Asia Limited, Hong Kong
Fabien Labouret joined CDC IXIS Capital Markets Tokyo Branch in January 2000. Managing Director, he is located in Japan and in charge of the Alternative Investment Structuring activities for Asia. He is responsible for the development, pricing and execution of innovative structured products and fixed-income vehicles linked to alternative investments, mostly for institutional clients. Before joining CDC, Fabien spent four years at Credit Agricole Indosuez in France in the Structured Products Department, in charge of the development of the private banking activities related to fixed income and equity structured products. He previously served in the Capital Market Structuring Group at Caisse National de Credit Agricole as a Financial Engineer. Mr Labouret has been graduated from ESLSCA Business School in Paris and earned a Masters Degree in Technical Finance from ESSEC Business School."
Harvey Boulter, Managing Director, Porton Capital Limited
With strong ties to many of the UK’s key Government research and development facilities, from his days’ advising the UK Ministry of Defence on the privatisation of DERA, later Dstl, Harvey established Porton Capital; a financial management company specialising in offshore mutual funds, with the aim of providing development capital for technology commercialisation ventures.
Porton Capital’s first private equity fund launched in June 2000, with it’s portfolio rapidly expanding to include several cutting-edge technology funds to date. Through extensive contacts, Porton Capital has been able to successfully partner with UK Ministry of Defence agencies, including; Dstl (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) together with other unique UK Government Public Sector Research Establishments not usually open to civilian access, allowing Porton a unique insight into innovative technologies, with worldwide potential. Essential to Porton Capital’s investment funds strategy, Harvey has further established key relationships with Rutherford Appleton Laboratories (the UK Space Agency) and the University of Cambridge, amongst others, opening up more opportunities and scope for technology commercialisation.
An Associate of the Institute of Accountants, and a Fellow of the Securities Institute, Harvey endeavours to complement his many years of corporate finance experience gained from UBS Warburg and Deloitte and Touche, by centering all his attention on the continued growth of Porton Capital and it’s cutting edge investment funds strategy.
Simon Hookway ,Chief Executive Officer, MSS Capital Ltd, UK
Simon Hookway is CEO of MSS Capital Ltd, a company he co-founded in May 2001. Before joining MSS Capital, between 1995 and 2001, he was at ING Barings, where he was the global head of Quantitative Research and co-head of the International Portfolio Group, as well as being a director of ING Barings Data Limited. Prior to this he held a variety of senior positions, both in investment banking and asset management, with leading institutions such as UBS Limited, Baring Securities and Capel-Cure Myers. Mr Hookway has been a member of the FTSE Equity Indices Committee since 1999 and graduated from the London School of Economics with First Class Hons. in Economics in 1983.

Mr Du Pasquier joined the Global Fixed Income & Absolute Return team in November 2005 as a Client Servicing Officer based in London. Prior to this position, Mr Du Pasquier was Senior Investment Advisor based in Paris within the International Client Development team (1999-2005) and Head of Money Market Fund’s Middle Office (1997-1999) at Crédit Agricole Asset Management. Mr Du Pasquier holds a DESS in Banking Management in Paris IX Dauphine (1994) University.
Ian Sosso, Managing Director Head of Markets - Asia Pacific, Commerzbank AG
Ian Sosso, 36, is Managing Director and Head of Commerzbank Corporates and Markets (CBCM) in Asia Pacific. CBCM is the integrated Investment Banking and Corporate Banking division of Commerzbank AG. Ian joined in Commerzbank HK in 2004 and has been building a business focused on structured products, primarily in equity derivatives, fund derivatives and, currently under implementation, credit derivatives. Ian is also responsible for the treasuries of HK, Singapore and Shanghai. Ian has overall 13 years experience in derivatives across all asset classes - including 10 in Asia - and has worked mainly in structuring and sales with a broad range of clients, from Hedge Funds to Sovereigns, via Corporates, Private Bank and Asset Manager. From 1999 to 2003, Ian was a Vice President with JPMorgan Chase in both London and in Singapore and worked in structuring across all asset classes. From 1997 to 1999, Ian was a Director with UBS in Singapore and Tokyo, in FX Options sales. Ian started his career with HSBC in 1993, working in Paris, London and Tokyo in various derivatives related roles. Ian holds a MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.
Kedarnath Udiyavar Executive Vice President & Head Centre for Capital Markets, Treasury and Wealth Management Technologies, Polaris Software Lab Ltd.
An engineer, with a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Bombay, Kedar heads Polaris' Global Centre of Excellence for Capital Markets, Treasury and Wealth Management / Investment Banking / Private Banking Technology Solutions. With a rich and diverse experience of 22 years in the IT industry, almost entirely of which has been in financial technologies, he comes with an in-depth understanding of domain as well as technology trends in the BFSI space. 6 of the top10 investment banks are clients of Polaris and this is largely a factor of the cutting-edge applications developed by this Centre of Excellence. Kedar is also the President of HYSEA - an industry association representing IT and ITEs exporters in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
