It was originally established in April 1999, as a thought leader in the discipline of operational risk, with the aim of driving forward the boundaries of knowledge. ORRF provides advisory services to regulatory bodies, professional institutions and commercial organizations. It is associated with the British Library and provides access to one of the largest collections of risk information in the world.  In addition to its research activities, ORRF provides consultancy, training, and recruitment services.  ORRF has held events in collaboration with the FSA, The Bank of England, BaFin, the OCC, and The New York State Banking Department, as well as with professional bodies such as the British Bankers Association, ISDA, The Securities & Investment Institute, The Institute of Actuaries and many others. South African Fraud Prevention Service was founded in 2000 and commenced operations on 1st July 2001. South African Fraud Prevention Service is a unique South African bred service which is committed to combating fraud in society and to offering the South African public a means whereby they can protect themselves against Impersonation and Identity Theft.  In its commitment to African development and as a contribution to NEPAD, South African Fraud Prevention Service will be extending its service to other African countries.
