Mr. Sammy Kam is Technical Director of Octopus Cards Limited. He has been involved in the development, implementation and operation of the Hong Kong Octopus system since he joined the company in 1995. He is the head of technology in Octopus managing a team of IT professionals with diversified skills and extensive experience in contactless smart card applications, central clearing house system design and large-scale international projects. Mr. Kam has over 20 years of experience in software development and system integration projects. He is a chartered engineer and holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Management and an MBA degree. Before joining Octopus, he has worked in the software engineering departments of leading computer vendors.

Pasi Koistinen has some 20 years business experience from food industry and retailing where he held COO and CEO positions in branded consumer goods operations. Last eight years he has been at TeliaSonera working with new businesses: during1999-2001 he founded and headed the internal start up Sonera Mobile Pay specializing in parking, vending and POS-payments through mobile phone. Currently he is Director at TeliaSonera R&D, having NFC as one of the interest areas.

Nicholas Lee, Senior Vice President, Business & Technology, EZ-Link, Singapore
Nicholas started his engineering career in a local systems integration company prior to joining the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) in early 1997 as a systems engineer. In the LTA, he was involved in the design and development of turnkey projects such as the Expressway Monitoring & Advisory System and provided technical support on supervisory control systems for various transit projects in Singapore that included the Bukit Panjang Light Rail and the North East Line. Nicholas also served in the LTA policy division and was responsible for overseeing international relations issues including the development of various business models for national systems such as the new contactless smart card system now known as EZ Link.
In 2000, he was assigned to manage the island wide implementation of a contactless multipurpose stored value card system (EZ Link card) worth $300million. This included the design, development and implementation of a national clearing-settlement system and the rollout of acceptance terminals across all mass rapid transit and bus transport systems in Singapore. He also spearheaded the early adoption of the ezlink card in various non-transit application trials that enabled the use of the ezlink card as a means of payment in food courts, car parking and school canteens.
Following the launch of the ezlink card in 2002, Nicholas was seconded to EZ Link Pte Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Land Transport Authority) as business manager with the primary responsibility of developing its business model and operating structure. In 2003, Nicholas was appointed as Senior Vice President of EZ Link Pte Ltd with overall responsibility for its strategic business development and technology activities. His other key responsibilities include supervising the marketing efforts of the company and overseeing card operations and corporate communication activities.
During his term in EZ Link, Nicholas has implemented various technology initiatives such as the ezlink credit card auto top up facility and a transactional architecture for secure reloading and payment of smart cards via the internet. He has also established strategic alliances with various financial institutions to innovate the use of the ezlink card in various application segments. In operations, Nicholas introduced key changes in card initialization and issuance processes and established a revenue / risk assurance framework for the organization.

Mr. Lin Yih is Director of Digital Applied Research and Technology Pte Ltd. A company he co-founded with his wife in 1985. He is also Chairman of Cards and Personal Identification Technical Committee, under Singapore IT Standards Committee. Highly active in the ISO standards community, he is also international Convenor for ISO/IEC JTC1/SC17 WG11 "Application of biometrics for cards and personal identification". He was born and raised in Singapore, and holds three degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.

Michael Mullagh is the Chief Executive Officer of ViVOtech, Inc. Mr. Mullagh is an experienced wireless industry leader who has served as the head of two wireless carriers (Rogers Wireless and BC Tel, now Telus Corporation) and two growth stage start ups (Telephia and Whisper Communications). With 18 years of executive-level experience Mullagh has a successful track record of building and managing fast-growth businesses. Mr. Mullagh, received a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, and a Masters Degree in Economics at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.

Silvester Prakasam, Deputy Director, Fare System Division, Land Transport Authority, Singapore
Mr Prakasam has degrees in Science (Statistics) and Engineering (Electrical). He was with the Singapore Airlines for 10 years, working in various departments involved in technical support and development work, before joining the Mass Rapid Transit Corporation in 1983. There, he was involved in the building of the first rapid transit system for Singapore.
Since 1989, he has been involved in ticketing systems and several initiatives, notably the Integrated Ticketing System.
Since 1994, he spearheaded trials on the Contactless Smart Card and launched the Enhanced Integrated Fare System project for the public transport system in 1998. Mr Prakasam is the Project Director for this project which implemented a common smart card system across the public transport network with six million cards issued to date.
Currently, he is involved in enhancing the system to extend its use to non-transit applications, as well as the acceptance of a wider number of cards.

Mr. Juha Risikko is Senior Product Manager at Nordea Netbanks. He is responsible on the development of mobile banking services. Mr. Risikko is also the Chairman of the Board at Mobey Forum, financial industry led organisation encouraging and promoting the use of mobile technologies for financial services. For three years, he acted also as the Work Group Executive at Mobey Forum being responsible on the operations. Mr. Risikko has background in telecommunications industry where he has been working at Sonera Corporation. Mr. Risikko has M.Sc. degree in Industrial Management and Telecommunications Software from Helsinki University of Technology.

From 2000 onwards Andreas has been responsible within the Industry and Government Division for the ISO operating system family STARCOS, for all contactless technology and for the development of tachosmart, the digital tachograph solution from Giesecke & Devrient. Furthermore he was responsible for the Java Operating System, card bodies with security features, biometrics, all evaluations and certifications and all electronic passport developments.
During the second half of 2005 he was responsible within Strategic Marketing for all operating systems (Open Platform based and ISO) and for all contactless issues for all card related divisions.
Starting January 2006 he took over responsibilities within the new division New Business for Near Field Communication (NFC) technology worldwide.

Joseph is the director of NFC business in the Nokia Ventures Organization Asia, responsible of the overall NFC solutions and businesses, based in Shanghai, China. Before joining Nokia, Joseph was the CEO of Sinya Online Ltd, a joint-venture between Yahoo and Sina.com. He developed Sinya Online into one of the three largest online market places in China with 150 employees and more than 5 million users. Prior to Sinya Online, Joseph was the General Manager, Greater China Online Services for Intel Corp. In this position, he built an organization of 250 employees in a co-op program with China Telecom. Before Intel, Joseph was the Asia Pacific Marketing Director for Parametric Technology Corp, a leading CAD/CAM/CAE software vender.
Joseph has a MBA from Rutgers University in the U.S.A and an EMBA from Tsinghua University in China.
