Tony is the Managing Director of VOD Pty Ltd and a director of the Civic Video (Australia & New Zealand) group.
VOD began as a content provider for Transact and over time developed its own video on demand and IPTV solutions.
It now supplies video on demand, HSIA and IP television to the Hotel, Mining, Hospital and Defence markets in Australia and the Pacific Rim.
Its more high profile licensees are Telstra, Ezestream and DoCoMo through its Singaporean subsidiary Intertouch.

Bart Becks is the CEO of Belgian telecom leader Belgacom Skynet and CEO of Extenseo, the Belgian leader for Search Engine Marketing. Chairman of the board and CEO of Skynet Imotion Activities, Bart Becks is also Vice-President of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Belgium chapter and a member of the strategic council of IAB Europe. Belgacom Skynet is the market leader in Belgium for retail and wholesale FTS, mobile communications services and broadband data and internet services. Belgacom launched IPTV in 2005.

Mr Geof Heydon, Director of Innovation and Market Development, Alcatel Asia Pacific
Geof Heydon is the Director of Market Development and Innovation, Alcatel Asia Pacific.
Geof joined Alcatel in 1994, bringing with him over a decade of telecommunications experience. During this time he has held a number of senior positions, including responsibility for broadband applications and content across Alcatel’s Asia Pacific region. In addition, Geof has played a key role in growing Alcatel’s Australian broadband access business to represent in excess of 90 per cent of the local market.
Geof is an industry expert on future fixed and mobile services and a central member of Alcatel’s fibre to the premises (FTTP) team locally. He is a regular commentator at industry and government broadband events, speaking on its likely social economic impact on Australian life.
Prior to joining Alcatel, Geof spent eleven years at AWA followed by eight years at GC Marconi Telecommunications, now known as GC Plessy, as an engineer developing Telstra’s Data Network.
Geof holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney.

Rosemary recently joined Telstra Product Management, as Managing Director, Fixed Line. She brings with her a wealth of experience with the most recent as Chief Executive, TelstraClear, Telstra’s subsidiary challenger business in New Zealand. Prior to joining TelstraClear in 2001, Rosemary was one of Telstra’s most senior women executives, running one of its fastest growing business units – Telstra Wholesale. Previously, Rosemary worked in a number of other management roles in Telstra and the NSW Government.

Based in Sydney, Justin is the co-Managing Director of Spectrum’s Asia Pacific business. Spectrum is a specialist telecoms and media consultancy with eighty staff globally. Justin previously established Spectrum’s office in Singapore. He has also worked in London as Marketing Director of Express Newspapers, as an advisor to the CEO at Energis and as a consultant at Booz•Allen & Hamilton. Over the last twelve months, Justin has focused on developing fixed mobile convergence, IPTV, mobile TV and VoIP propositions for his clients in the region.

The companies under the M2B brand are a major provider of interactive entertainment on-demand, education on demand and e-commerce over broadband channels, internet portals and 3G devices.

Mr Philip King, General Manager-Video Services, Telecom NZ Ltd
As General Manager Video Services, Philip King is responsible for developing Telecom’s future video and television based services. Philip was appointed to the role in April 2006.
Prior to this, Philip headed up Telecom’s Corporate Affairs Group with responsibility for issues management, brand strategy and stakeholder communications. Philip was appointed to the role of General Manager Corporate Affairs in December 2002 and was a member of the Telecom executive.
Previously, Philip was Telecom’s General Manager Finance and before that, the Company’s Investor Relations Manager. Prior to joining Telecom, he worked for seven years for National Australia Bank where he held a variety of positions in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from Victoria University (Wellington) and is a Chartered Accountant.

John is the Carrier Relations Manager for the Internode and Agile group. He has held senior roles there since September 2000 and overseen the growth of Internode from a single city dial-up ISP to an international full-service telco.
John is a very active member of the Internet community and has been busy driving convergence from the packet side since the early 90s.

Tony Manton is currently Senior Vice President of Programming as well as Country Manager for Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.
Prior to joining ANYTIME, Tony gained extensive experience in both Film and Television; firstly at Village Roadshow and Greater Union Film Distributors. The next move was to Television Distribution as Managing Director of Viacom Australia and then as Vice President and Managing Director of Turner International.
Tony then located to Singapore in 1999, working with New Skies Satellites, until his move to ANYTIME in 2001.

Mr Nigel Smith, Vice President of Broadband Internet, NDS
Nigel Smith is responsible for the global sales and strategy for NDS IPTV solutions. He has worked for NDS for over ten years, and has extensive experience in deploying content protection, satellite and data broadcasting networks. NDS is the largest supplier of IPTV content protection systems worldwide, and has deployed content protection systems at Softbank in Japan, TVB Pay Vision in Hong Kong, Sistema in Russia, Viasat in Sweden, Auna in Spain, Intelsat in the USA and Cyprus Telecom among others. Nigel has been instrumental in designing the NDS IPTV security solutions to meet the unique business requirements of each of these platforms.

Mr Jeffrey Soong, CEO, Broadband Network Systems
Jeffrey Soong is the CEO of Broadband Network Systems Ltd, a leading Asia-focused IPTV enabler providing service operators with technology integration, content aggregation and strategy consulting.
Mr Soong has over 20 years of experience in the fields of entertainment, technology, and international finance, and is a recognized expert on the subject of entertainment and technology convergence.
Prior to co-founding BNS, he was CEO of Vodexa Networks, a U.S. technology company with major Hollywood studio clients. Over the course of his career, he has also held senior management positions with SVP International, a TV program production and distribution company, and CSSV Media Ventures and World Entertainment Network.
Mr Soong holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and undertook Ph.D. scholarship studies in Computer Science at Caltech.

Mr Gary Southwell, General Manager-IPTV Solutions, Juniper Networks Inc
Gary Southwell is a networking industry veteran of over 20 years. Gary currently serves as Juniper Networks General Manager for it IPTV solution, responsible for the overall business, which claims significant deployments in the top 2, and 5 of the top 8 IPTV production networks to date. Prior to Juniper Gary was VP of Solutions Development at Ciena, responsible for driving solutions in the enterprise and service provider markets, including developing and launching Ciena’s IPTV solution. Gary came to Ciena via its acquisition of Internet Photonics where he served as VP of Marketing and Product Development. Internet Photonics products currently account for approximately 50% of Ciena’s current revenue stream, supplying its newest optical product offerings. Internet Photonics was instrumental in enabling MSOs to aggressively roll out VOD and covered network solution deployments over the last 4 years with its low cost zero loss Optical Ethernet solutions. Deployments included 4 of the top 5 MSOs with over 18 Million homes passed. Prior to Internet Photonics, Gary served in leadership roles at Nortel Networks, Bay Networks/Wellfleet Communications and Motorola. Gary holds a Masters in Finance from Boston College and a BS degree in from Northeastern University

Ms Alice Tan, Chief Marketing Officer leading The Corporate Marketing and Strategic Management Division, MediaCorp TV12 Singapore Pte Ltd
Alice Tan has had more than 20 years experience in the financial, hospitality and media business.
Alice started her career with Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS) in 1995 as Assistant Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, and was integral to the success of driving airtime sales revenue for both Channel 5 & 8.
In August 1998, she was transferred to Network Programming & Promotions 5 as Head of Corporate Communications and Relations Unit as well as Creative Resource. Over the years, she rose through the ranks as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Channel 5 and led her team to international successes with several awards including Promax International, Asian Television Awards’ Broadcaster of the Year for 1998, 1999, 2000 and Asian Television Awards Channel of the Year for 2001 and 2003. In August 2002, she was given concurrent title of CEO of TV Mobile, spearheading the additional portfolio of Singapore’s first digital outdoor broadcast media.
She was appointed Chief Executive Officer of MediaCorp TV12 in May 2004. She took charge of Kids Central, Arts Central, Vasantham Central, Suria, EagleVision and VizPro.
Alice was named as one of the Top 25 Executives in Asia in the Television Asia Magazine in 2000.
She was also the Chairperson of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union of the Programming Committee from 2000 to 2004.
Prior to her career in the TV industry, she worked with Oberoi Hotels International and American Express International.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a graduate diploma in Sociology from Monash University.

Mr Adam Tribe, Managing Director, GOTV
Adam Tribe has been the Managing Director of The Tribe Film and Television Productions since 1993. The company has produced content for all of Australia’s free to air channels, as well as local and international cable channels, production houses and distributors. As Managing Director of Now What Media Group, Adam and his team launched the combined cable TV and IPTV channel, GOTV, Geelong’s Own TV Channel, in July 2006.

Mr Ian Walker, Director of New Business Development for IPTV, Advanced Digital Broadcast SA
Ian is the driving force behind Advanced Digital Broadcast’s IPTV new business development strategy. He has successfully negotiated supply agreements with leading broadband and telecommunications operators, including Fastweb, HanseNet and Telefonica.
Ian is a seasoned pay-TV professional with over 15 years experience in the industry. Whilst occupying a number of senior management positions over four years with Thorn Worldwide, he was instrumental in securing major contracts to supply pay-TV services to the hospitality industry. He entered the consumer electronics market in 1996 working for Pace Micro Technology as New Business Development Manager where he was responsible for securing supply agreements with European satellite television operators. In 1999 he joined NDS and then moved to TANDBERG Television, following their acquisition of NDS’s head-end infrastructure business.
Ian joined ADB in 2003 where he has succeeded in building the Company’s reputation as the dominant supplier of hybrid technology to the European telecommunications market. This has been achieved through the signing of major supply agreements in addition to securing a number of industry awards for IPTV technology.
