Tom was admitted to partnership in PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1989 after having completed a secondment at their London offices. He practices in PwC's Assurance and Business Advisory Services Division and focuses on clients in the Financial Services Industry with primary specialisation in the Banking Industry. He has been involved in Section 7 work for the SARB, due diligence reviews, reviews of credit portfolios, reporting accountants' reports and review and advisory work on various systems. Tom has also been involved in assisting new banking clients entering the South African market with advice on strategic plans and other business issues and applications for banking licences to the SARB. Tom is responsible for the team that presents on banking industry specific training to the Southern African firm. He presents the findings of the annual Global Banana Skins survey on risks facing the banking industry as well as leading the team
responsible for the publication and research of the Strategic and Emerging Issues in South African Banking survey which is in its 9th year of publication. Tom is currently Chairman of SAICA's Banking Industry Group.
