The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) has completed a major upgrade of its IT environment. This transformation project has improved access to applications for 3000 DVA users, while laying the foundation to reduce operating costs by using VoIP technology. The VoIP network replaces ageing disparate PABXs with access to cost-effective IP telephony and voicemail. The DVA national network is monitored on a 24/7 basis from a network operations centre in Sydney.
