About Terrapinn

Terrapinn is an international business media company. We own a portfolio of brand names under which we produce trade exhibitions, conferences, magazines and online publications. Our brands, which include Customer Contact World, Storage World, Information Security World, Cards, Hedge Funds World and Power Generation World, are world leaders in their respective vertical industry sectors.

Organisation

The company was established in Sydney in 1987 and now operates throughout the world from a network of offices in London, Sydney, Singapore, and Johannesburg. Consisting of over 250 staff, Terrapinn is led by an experienced management team, headquartered in London.

Growth strategy

The focus of Terrapinn’s business model is to develop media brands in growing industry sectors. Terrapinn is able to grow its business by:

  • Launching events as part of branded international series into new markets;
  • Extending brands into other media including the publication of trade magazines and the development of vertical online publications.

The Internet has become a key area of business development. Terrapinn is at the forefront of developing on-line B2B vertical communities around its brand portfolio.

Live events – real people in real time

Events play a key role in today’s networked economy. They provide the opportunity for people to meet face-to-face with their peers, suppliers and customers.

Publishing – at the speed of business

In the new-networked economy, the challenge for publishers is to maintain relevance by adding value to the mass of information and data that is now freely available. Terrapinn’s approach to publishing is a mix of the old and the new – a focus on high volume rapid delivery electronic newsletters complemented by a stable of print based publications that provide more in-depth and less time sensitive analysis.
